Summary: Trigun (a hero mistaken)
Review: Trigun is about Vash the stampede a donut loving, reckless, goofy, idiotic, sharp shooting, 131 yr old humanoid typhoon with a 60,000,000,000 double dollar bounty on his head. Vash is searching for his twin brother Knives who killed killed almost all the crew of their ship on the seeds project and was responsible for Rev's death also. Rev was the one who looked after Knives and Vash while on their ship and took care of them. But Knives read up on human history and found them to be inferior so now Vash is searching for Knives to stop him from destroying the world. The people who accompany Vash on his journey are Wolfwood(priest), Milly(insurance agent), and Meryl(insurance agent). I think Trigun is the best anime ever made for its comedy, action, and it keeps you at the edge of your seat.

Summary: A fun experience
Review: If you look at the cover of Trigun, you probably think it's about some trigger happy lunatic. Well, the main charactor is known as "Vash the stampede" or "The humanoid typhoon". Though people think of him as a notorious criminal, he's actually a very strange bleeding heart-type dork. But, he's the coolest dork ever! He's obviously more than he seems, and his actions make this anime very funny and enjoyable. And when I say funny, I mean LOL funny, which is hard to come by these days. I really love this show, and I was disapointed when it was canceled.
Anyway... The animation is great, really detailed. The charactors have great personalities that aren't one sided, which can be a problem with some anime out there. The story is great. It hooks you early and reels you in, to the point where you are totaly obsessed. The show's a perfect mix of comedy, action, violence, and fun. If you watch it, you'll totaly agree!

Summary: Good balance of humor, action and typical Anime clichés...
Review: I got it, I like it, and I recommend it... Unlike a lot of the anime out there, it does not make excessive use of the typical Anime clichés (caricatured faces, pointless babbling, and hokey gestures). Although they are present, and you cannot miss them, they tend to work in small doses, properly offset by the story. All of the action scenes are beautifully done, and the plot is one that does well with the environment the animators have provided. Beautiful (f not foreboding) landscapes, intense ethical struggle and a guitar riddled soundtrack all make for a wonderful viewing experience. When the show is not trying to be funny, it makes a solid stab at addressing the real moral dilemmas that plight us today, even though it is set on a planet vastly different than our own. The one burning question you will be left with at the end: What's the deal with the cat?!

Summary: Trigun-The best anime ever
Review: The Trigun series is a masterpiece and one of the best animes out there. Trigun is like a western but is loaded with so much more. Each and every episode is packed full of comedy and action. The bad guys of the show are extremely cool and have abilities and weapons such as mind control or saxaphones that can blow away buildings. Vash, who is the main character, delivers more comedy than Eddie Murphy or even Seinfeld. If you liked Cowboy Bebop or Outlaw Star this is just the show you have been looking for.

Summary: Man is Trigun good...
Review: It's funny, it's intelligent, it's a fundamentally different approach to philosophy than the American approach, but man do I love it. This version is especially nice because it manages to do what is thankfully becoming more common in anime imported to America: the voice actors are actually GOOD! I know pure Anime hardcore can't stand to hear English come out of the characters voice and prefer to read the subtitles, but if you're not that hardcore it is a relief to have this, the new Akira, Monoke, and Metropolis to look to and see that anime now gets decent voice acting.

Summary: Love and Peace!!
Review: By the time the Box set was released, I had already purchased the individual DVDs, a far more expensive proposition than what you pay for the set, but given the time, it was a good investment. This is one of the pre-emininent examples of what has been commonly coined by anime aficionados as "the Space Western," where the characters are placed in environments lacking what we might consider Law and Order, where violence is the preferred method of settling all disputes. This is especially poignant considering that the hero, a Mr. Vash the Stampede, perceived as perhaps the baddest gunslinger around, with a $$60 Billion bounty to prove it, makes it a point to solve the problems which face him without resorting to violence. He is the means by which the hard-hearted people who come across his path find a new perspective, questioning all they believed before. I would also point out that this anime series is funny, where Vash's contradictions make for some funny moments, as if he spoofs our conventions on what a cowboy should be (a crack shot, hard living, hard-drinking, kill-or-be-killed kind of guy). Except for the shooting skill, he is none of those things, and the degree to which he is not makes for the funniest moments. I highly recommend the set. It is a must have for all anime fans.

Summary: Trigun = Not as good as everyone says
Review: Ok, this anime was really good when it first started out. I bought the first dvd, and I really enjoyed it. The first few episodes didn't take anything too seriously, and you didn't want to gag from some overly acted "romance" scene. Before I could buy the rest of the DVD's which I had originally planned I saw that they were showing this on Cartoon Network. I was happy about that becuase it gave me a chance to actually review this anime before I payed the $$$$ on the box set. After about 6 or 7 episodes it started to get really serious and repetitve. It was really unbalanced probably the most unbalanced anime I have seen. Vash has a whole bunch of problems and he doesn't want to "kill" anyone. This anime could have been alot more better. Maybe I am just thinking too much into it. ....

Summary: Reaching the peak of greatness but falling just short
Review: The show is friggin' awesome. It's so tight, but the only thing I can say in probably the shortest review ever is......If you wanna see a beastly show with tons of action, character depth, and coolness, Cowboy Bebop is the way to go and not Trigun.

Review: Trigun is a great anime. It has a great mysterious storyline that comes together in the end. The story focuses on Vash the Stampede, a man worth $$60,000,000,000. It is set on a desert planet that humans have taken refuge on, and everyone lives like it is the wild west. Vash is feared by many for destroying the city of July, but is actually a gentle hearted airhead. He is followed around by two insurance girls, Milly and Meryl, and a travelling priest who is also an ace gunman Nicholas D. Wolfwood. While the anime focuses on Vash and his super-human gun skills, Wolfwood is a more interesting character. Wolfwood has a mysterious past and was trained by a Gung-Ho Gun named Chapel the Evergreen (the Gung-Ho Guns are an evil gang under Vash's evil brother). His story is anonymous even after his death. I strongly recommend this great wild west/sci-fi anime.

Summary: I got my hopes up
Review: I read reviews on this for a while, then I finally cought it on adult swim, but I didn't start on the first episode, the series started off ok, the comedy was ok, and it has loads of action, but there's the big problem I just can't get over, the main character himself, Vash the Stampede. For someone who causes chaos everywhere he goes,(which he does) he doesn't want to kill anyone, nor wants anyone dead(escpecially civilians, which I respect from a main character)!! But when someone is even threatning to kill him, trying to kill him, or when one dude anilates a whole city, he refuses to kill or injure anyone, even a fraking sandworm, and human looking demons. That's straight out rediculus!! Just when I was thinking this guy was bad... only to learn that he was more of a soft hearted, kind, peace-lover. I just can't stand the fact that he ain't the gun-slinger I thought he'd be(He can shoot, but he doesn't waste any bullets on human enemys at all!) This really made me lose a lot of intrest in the series. I know a lot of people may dissagree with me, but trying to make a peace loving man bad... just don't mix in my ind. Even the priest is more dangerous than him, and Vash don't want him to kill anyone. But knives stays true to the ways of being a vicious villian, which I am glad of. If you love animae, and have yet to see this you might wanna check it out, cuz a lot of people have diffrent opinions, but if you wanna see a good show that's on par with cowboy bebop, and a character as good as Spike, I dunno if you will be dissapointed or not, because I'm not you, and this is my opinion and in my mind, I surley was dissapointed, the series wasn't as entertaining as Cowboy Bebop, and even if I may be comparing Spike to Vash, I wouldn't even like him in the first place, cuz he's too much of a peace lover.
