Summary: not a review so much as a question...
Review: would someone please tell me, either in an email or just a posted review... does this dvd include an insert with the chapter titles and whatnot? the case seems naked without one... i'm just wondering if my copy is defective.

Summary: Horrible!
Review: This is hands down one of the worst animes I have ever seen! It had almost no plot! The entire movie was about a girl who gets raped and goes out and kills people. No meaning came from it. The entire point of the movie seemed to be to try to make a gory movie. Hardly any character development. I could forget who all the characters are tomorrow. I was not impressed and I'm sorry I wasted my money buying it.

Summary: Kite Flies High but Falls Quickly
Review: This I would not even consider to be a "movie". Kite is basically 45 minutes long...but it is one of the best 45 minutes in animation. If you like jam packed actions and bizarre plot twists then this is your movie. Though the subject of child molestation is touche, it deals with it in not too bad of a manner. The main character is a girl, who is about 16 years old. After seeing her parents brutally murder, she is taken in by a Police Detective. The detective uses the girl to kill child molesters in the world and his job is to investigate the scene to cover up her tracks. He has a secret that he is not telling her and when she meets another teenage assasin...the truth becomes clear. Animation is fluid. The dubbed voices are actually not bad and the story is top notch. However...if you want a long movie to watch, then don't get this...it is 45 minutes long.

Summary: Not the best anime
Review: I've seen worse, but not by much. I do like animes with alot of action, however this crossed the line fron enjoyable to just plain overkill. I tried to look past the ultra-violence, but there was nothing else in this that was particluarly intersting about it. I would not reccomend buying this movie, if you still really want to see it, go rent it.

Summary: The single worst movie EVER!
Review: I plead with all people human NEVER to see this movie! It actually made me throw up. It is absolutely AWFUL! If you want a little info on why I hate this movie, ok: 1)Enough violence and gore and blood to make someone (me...) throw up. 2)Underage sex, this girl is sleeping with the guy that's her FATHER figure. 3)I don't really want to go on. I think you get the picture. PARENTS: This MAY be a "cartoon" but under no circumstances let your kids see it!

Summary: Kite Delivers!!!
Review: The back of the video box compares Kite with La femme Nikita and The Professional, and it is NOT an understatement. My only complaint is that this is not a feature-length animation, as more character development would not have detracted from the action and would not have bored or alienated the spectator. I highly suggest watching this (if possible) on a large screen with LOUD volume for maximum effect. Although animated, this is definitely a good gift for anyone who likes action films!!! This ranks up with Ghost in the Shell, Akira, Perect Blue, Serial Eperiments Lain, and Macross Plus: The Movie as a must-have in any otaku's collection :-)

Summary: Not for everyone, but damn good
Review: If you're the squeamish type, let me just get this out of the way right now: this show has an above-average amount of gore in it. This is definitely a warning directed towards any parents out there thinking that because this is a cartoon that it is appropriate for children. Think again. That being said:

This is a fantastic anime. I'd classify it in a category such as extreme-action, as the assassinations and various other action sequences are incredibly violent. There's some seriously awesome gunplay here, something most John Woo fans will love.

The part that sold me on the five star rating though is the fact that throughout the film there's an actual story at work, and a good one at that. This is definitely something refreshing for an action-oriented anime.

The DVD version I bought was very well done, with an extremely clear picture and some unbelievable sound. I found myself backing up through the action sequences to watch them again, cranking the volume.

If you like action-oriented anime, especially ones with actual engaging storylines, give Kite a whirl.

Review: First of all id like to say out of all the anime ive watched this dvd had the best sound quality ive even heard. the explosions are great! this movie has a unique story, tons of actions stuff that could kick the snot out of the matrix.. i would suggest this as a great addition to your dvd (or vhs) collection for anime......

Summary: Very Unique movie but edited version really killed it
Review: This was one of the best movie i have ever seen, it present itself as Unique as any other movie out on the market. With it's deep characters and good action scripts, i though this defintly a classic just like akria and ghost in the shell. Too bad this one was edited. The Real version is supposely to be 60 min long, it goes into more indept about how the girl became the killer and her relationship with the cop, and they cut the ending by about 5 min which made the movie confusing for whose who has not seen the orginal version. Overall, this is still a great movie to watch and buy even with the 15 min of scenes being cut.
