Summary: Great Animation and awesome characters!
Review: Okay, some peole think Osmosis Jones was a disgusting movie. Well, have you ever seen The Fly? That is ten times more disgusting.
The characters for Osmosis Jones were original and captivating. My favorite was Thrax, the villain. The story line, though used many times for movies, was still a very good one.
The animated parts were spectacular! The characters and backgrounds earned my applause. The live parts looked sadly underfunded and the movie would have done better without them.
And to tell all of you "macho" people who won't see an animated movies just because they are cartoons, you guys miss out on the art of animation. This movie was a refreshing change to all those teen flicks and horror movies.

Summary: Rich and tasty animation
Review: Although this film may not win the oscar, I found it to be a fun ride, with extremely original and very entertaining first class animation, coupled with Bill Murry live action sequences, this was a very diffferent and fun story. Like 'Something about Mary' the humor was from a similar place, took me back to Jr. High!

Summary: Disappointing, but fair
Review: First of all, I want to say that I was prepared to be disgusted, being that it's a movie that involves the human body and all it's natural functions. What I wasn't prepared for was how dry this movie ended up being when it came to jokes. COME ON! This movie had Bill Murray AND Chris Rock in it and all I did was let out a few chuckles instead of laugh out loud like I usually do whenever I see Chris Rock or Bill Murray! I thought that the overall plot of Osmosis Jones was extremly clever, but not executed as good as it should be. It was one of those movies that was too silly for adults and would go over the heads of most children and that's why it failed at the box office. I agree with the previous veiwer when said that this movie must have been was rushed when it was made. It wasn't all bad. It had it's amusing moments and it still remained clever as Bill Murray's body was made into a fast paced government and city. But a wittier script could have saved this movie at the box office.

Summary: ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING
Review: I am not above bathroom humor, but this is absolutely the most disgusting movie I have ever seen. Bill Murray is gross. I couldn't stand to look at him. I enjoyed and appreciated the animation. However, I dreaded each time the movie switched to live actors. The real question is...why would anyone use this theme to create a movie???

Summary: This is a pretty repulsive movie
Review: What really made me feel sick was this film's useage of what goes on inside the human body when we eat food and along those lines, the animation took over from there, it will give you a new side of Bill Murray as he agreed to star in this film and thus lower his standards and Warner Brothers has reached a new low in that they agreed to make this movie in the first place. Just one more reason why the summer movies of 2001 have been so bad this year.

Summary: OK
Review: I am not the biggest fan of the Farrelly bros, but I have to say that I enjoyed this movie more than their other ones. The animation is pretty cool there a couple of funny moments it seems like they could spent some more time ironing out some of the weak spots but it is a good way to pass the time.

Summary: Funny.
Review: I am not the biggest Farrely bros, fan but this one was more enjoyable than most of their movies. It seems like this one was mostly ignored on the screen maybe it will be a hit on video. Hmm really makes you think.

Summary: Disgusting
Review: Bill Murray is a talented actor, and I generally enjoy his work very much. Unfortunately, through no fault of his own, or anyone in the cast, the movie is disgusting. I am sickened that some tried to push it as family-oriented entertainment and bragged about how they can finally take their kids to see a movie. This is a flat, disturbing, and bizarre attempt at bodily functions humor. The cast cannot save this mostly animated piece of cinematic trash. Don't take your children to see it, even if you can get in for free. I am an open-minded person, but not so open-minded that my brains fall out: this movie is not just tasteless, it is disgusting.

Summary: Enjoyable and Endearing
Review: None of the reviews I've read here seem to mention anything about the quality of animation displayed in "Osmosis Jones", nor is anything said about the clever use of veiled, good medical science to entertain. No, this is not "Best Picture" material, nor do white corpuscles drive cars through your arteries flashing police badges on their way to punish invading pathogens. But if you have the remotest interest in the workings of the human immune system, can appreciate well-drawn animation, and can tolerate the lowbrow humor used in the live-action portions of this film, you're going to have a good time.

For example, I was impressed by the subtle way we're introduced to the science of how flu vaccine works, all in the guise of an ex-virus participating in a government witness protection program. Sure, not literally accurate, but very funny. And if, as a foil to such a clever characterization, we have to put up with Bill Murray's "potty humor"-- well, maybe that's why I didn't give this movie that 5th star.

Those of you who are decrying Bill Murray's descent into potty humor in this film should probably watch "Caddyshack" again. Come now-- the man eats what looks like a floating turd out of a swimming pool. We laugh. And that was how many years ago? What do you think has changed? This man's brand of humor has never been referential comedy ala Dennis Miller.

As it's been said here already, the live-action portions of this film are a little weak and non-believable. However, if "believable" is a prerequisite for you, animation shouldn't be on your list of things to see anyway.

Elena Franklin is cute as a button in her role as Shane, the wise-beyond-her-years daughter. Perhaps the greatest sticking point to suspension of disbelief in this film is the idea that she'd ever survive to her ripe old pre-teen age as the daughter of such a dolt as Bill Murray's Frank.

Chris Rock is as funny as ever, David Hyde Pierce shines as the heroically competent yet fuddy-duddy Drix, and Lawrence Fishburne positively oozes cool-cat evil as Thrax. As for William Shatner's acting, well, we all know he can't act, (this, coming from a Star Trek fan!) but the role of the slimy Mayor is a perfect one in which he can play himself. What a great piece of casting.

BOTTOM LINE: O.K., be tolerant during the live action, but go see it for the animation-- I, for one, had a good time.

Summary: Stupid movie. Bill Murray is stinker!
Review: I did not like this movie! It has stupid city humor and there is two weird plots. Thin women were almost a stereotypical part to the movie. Osmosis Jones is very disappointing.
