Review: about as complex a plot as any movie can get,this film needs a "cliffs notes" edition to accompany it.however,after multiple and diligent viewings,the bulk of the story and underlying meanings can be learned.do not be deterred by unsavory reviews by others;at least try it out.to conclude,the only unappealing aspect to me would have been the overall path the story took.i think the movie would have been more complete if it had stayed more comprehensive to the manga.this selection appeared to relate it's plot to one issue in the series.so there it is;my two cents.

Summary: The Birth of the Matrix Phenomenon Starts With Ghost
Review: If you are a fan of The Matrix, you will love, I mean LOVE this movie. There are many underlying themes in Ghost which I think the W. brothers drew upon when creating the Matrix. Mamoru Oshii is to be commended for his vision, style and ability to grab the viewer and never let go.

Review: Ghost in the Shell tels the story of an espionage program that becomes selve aware. It is wanted and is sought by government agents for various crimes. It is also seeking one of the agents that seeks it, it believes she is a compatible partner.The production is very appealing. The technology, philosphy and credibility are excellent, not to mention the brilliant music and art.

Review: This is by far one of the best, most intelligent films I have ever seen. The animation is incredible, and its action-packed. If you're a fan of anime then you must have this in your collection. If you like this movie, check out AKIRA, it's a classic.

Review: The Ghost in the Shell is easily one of the best anime movies ever made, perhaps the best. The technical rendering is excellent. The soundtrack is breathtaking. This is an intriguing film that is more than an intellectual match for every big-budget Hollywood sci-fi flick except Bladerunner. It represents what we all wish anime was. A must for any DVD collection, no matter how small.

Summary: The animation was great, the plot kind of sucked
Review: I had heard nothing but great reviews about this movie, but I thought it was kind of slow. The animation was outstanding though. I guess it is mostly because I am one who likes to see things with big mechanised units and guns that make big holes.

Summary: It's a good movie
Review: This is a good movie, in the same vein as Blade Runner. Nice visuals and fully realized world, though the plot is a but convulted. A great take in Masamune Shirow's manga. On a side note: I resent people who say hardcore anime fans might not like this because there is no sex or gratuitous violence, as if to say anime has those negative conotations. Any real fan would know anime is like any other art form, incorporating all types of genre's that the pen ( and pixel ) can offer. Gundam, Blue Submarine No. 6 , Escaflowne, Ranma 1/2 etc. prove my point.

Summary: Ghost In The Shell (the bomb)
Review: Best anime movie I ever seen. It has great animation and great drawings. The sound effects are the best i have heard.To me this is the best movie i eaver seen. Is kind of difficult to follow the movie, but when you really get into the movie is incredible. This is a must have video. There should be more movies like this. I give it a high 10.

Summary: The Best Animation on DVD so far.
Review: This is the best DVD I ever bought. To really enjoy the movie you have to watch it with the Japanese language. The DVD is packed with features, the only draw back was that the Japanese sound track was not Dolby Digital 5.1 other than that it was the best.
