Summary: Mononoke Hime
Review: First of all, this movie is a must-have. But the reason I'm writing this review is to clarify as to what is an anime film. "Guardianangel" includes Mulan when he/she compares other "anime" movies he/she has seen, showing a misunderstanding in what is an anime flick. Mulan's not anime, its american animation. The term anime applies ONLY to japanese animation (sometimes called japanimation, also), so you can scratch all disney, WB, or dreamworks animated films as being "anime". There is also the misunderstanding as to what extent anime movies go. Because what we see in america is mostly pokemon, dragonball z, sailor moon, etc., this gives the wrong impression as to how good and serious the anime films can be. In Japan, animation is both for kids AND adults (mononoke being an example), so you get both dragonballz (for kids) and princess mononoke(not for kids). Other great anime films that I highly recommend are "ghost in the shell", "ninja scroll" and "akira" (none of them for kids). Oh, and regarding the "japanese version" of mononoke, i have only seen the jap version, but i think that the movie released in the U.S. is only a translation, i dont think it was changed, at least not much. Summary: Extremely Rewarding!
Review: I had never been a comlete anime fan, and when I heard that my frind was going to see Princess Mononoke, and wanted me to come with her, I didn't know if I should. I did, and I am completely commpelled to buy it. Some people say that it was a waste of time, but personally, I completely disagree with them. It was a fantastic movie, and if the average rating is four-and-a-half stars, it can't be all that bad, now can it? I've heard some people say that the English voice-acting was really bad, but I thought it was pretty good. I have heard some pretty bad voice-acting before, but this was no where near bad. I enjoyed it thoroughly, and I completely adore it! You must spend some time to see it; maybe not buy it before you see it. I know Blockbuster has it, and so does Hollywood Video. You HAVE to see it! If you don't take lightly to violence or gore, I don't nessicarily recommend it to you. If you don't mind it, like me, then you have to see it. My friend, who saw it with me, thought it was one of the best movies the world has ever seen, and she got grossed out when she saw "The Mummy". So now you know my personal feelings for it, and I hope yours are the same!

Summary: Princess Mononoke
Review: Personally, i loved this movie! it had awesome animation, and the plot was thick and flowing. it was a little gorey, but the plot and outstanding animation made up for it. it is a definate "five". i don't think littler kids should see it, but this is definately a good movie for those of us who appreciate good anime. i loved the music and in fact bought the soundtrack, and it is a fantastic mix of every type of classical music, from foreboding to serene. the music is intense, and it fits in extremely well with the action in the movie, and brings in suspense and tension, and weaves carefully into the tightly-woven plot. i fell in love with it at once! it is an overall excellent movie, and you MUST see it!

Summary: My favorite movie ever
Review: That's right this is my favorite movie ever. I can't get enough of it. I really urge you to see this movie. Anyone who hates this movie or believes it to be hard to understand are mentally shallow. I'm thirteen and viewed this movie when I was eleven. I found nothing shocking or disturbing. I just saw japanese art work at its best! The only reason that i did not give this five stars is because of the whole dubbing, subbing issue.

Review: For those that recommend experiencing this outstanding film in it's original Japanese language edition: DVD technical details: Available Audio Tracks: Japanese (Original) (Dolby Digital 5.1), English (Dolby Digital 5.1), Please keep in mind that NONE of the previous reviewers of the DVD edition have actually SEEN the DVD edition, but yet some have chosen to assign a low rating based on rumors they have heard on the internet. Experience this film in any form and it remains a truly amazing work of art. So falls Klamath Falls.

Summary: Real masterpiece
Review: The way you appreciate a movie depends a lot of what you expect from it when you go to the theatre. Those who think you have to leave your brain when going to the movies will find Princess Mononoke boring. Those who think animation should only be for kids will be disgusted. Those who are not able to appreciate another culture and mentality will wonder that all that fuss is about. So please watch Princess Mononoke open-minded and open-hearted. Then it's easy to realize that Mr. Miyazaki's work is rich, intelligent, meaningful with deep characters and story. This film is one of my all-time favorite (animated or not). I mean, it was so absorbing... Without any sentimentality, it almost made me cry.

Summary: One of the best movies ever made in the Anime category!
Review: Great movie! And I say that without all the supposed 'hype'. The animation is classic - well done. But what makes this film so good is its dealing with the ever-so-present issue of our environment - our Earth. The writers did a fantastic job at presenting both sides of the case - very applicable to our current day situation. Should we put all our effort in to loving nature so much that we hate our fellow human brothers and sisters? Or, should we love our fellow human brothers and sisters so much to the extent that we hate nature? Is there room to love both properly? I must say that I tend to take sides more with Princess Mononoke. None-the-less, anyone looking for a good film with good content should check out this one!

Summary: One of the BEST movies I have ever seen
Review: This movie is one of the best anime videos that I have ever seen. It's compelling story drew me in and the character design is flawless. This movie erned it's 5 star rating. And to the 12 year old reviewer from Texas I say that your mind must be the equvilent of that of a peice of broken glass. And 12 years old is too young to have a real boyfriend.

Summary: If you want gore you get plenty of it from this film!
Review: Why do they always force you to give it one star at the least when this movie deserves a -10 at the most. If this film is rated PG-13 then I am 5 years old. I will admit that the animation of this film was very breathtaking but the story made all of that hard work fall to pieces. During this film I couldn't stop looking at my watch and wondering what kind of interesting nightmares this movie would produce. They only thing that kept me in the theater was that I paid ($) per ticket. I went to this movie believing it would be a very interesting tale of a warrior, humans and nature. I expected the film to leave me with some kind of moral making me feel bad for not being an environmentalist. The movie loss all meaning when I was hit with a wave of blood and gore. Not to mention the "possessed" boars covered with what appeared to be moving hamburger meat. The one thing that truly made me want to scream was the sleepy stuff in the blind boars eyes. I found myself pleading with the characters to help the poor guy out and take the sleepy stuff out of his eyes. This movie should be rated R to say the least. One thing that scared me worse then the movie itself was after the movie when a bunch of 7 years olds said they loved the movie and couldn't wait to buy it. I think that fact horrified me the most. To sum it up this movie was a cross between a green peace infomercial and Mortal Kombat. DO NOT LET THE FACT THAT IT IS ANIMATION FOOL YOU INTO THINKING IT'S O.K. FOR KIDS 13+ TO WATCH THIS FILM.
