Summary: SHOCK THE MONKEYS
Review: Oh lord, here we go again with the next volume of the incredibly funny Galaxy Angel entitled "Stranded Without Dessert". While this title might make you think that this installment will be full of tragedy and heartbreak, nothing could be further from the truth, well, except for the death of Forte, I mean the FAKED death of Forte. Ranpha is late for a date with a handsome hunk, so she tells him that she missed it because of Forte's death. As always, the plans of the Angels fall astray as Forte is scheduled to be cremated. Straight out of Ghost in the Shell, Milfeulle and Mint have to take on a sentient tank running amok in the city. The problem is that Milfeulle thinks it's fun to be dragged behind a speeding death machine. Then the two girls are accused of stealing the tank. We get a revealing episode about the always mysterious and apocalyptic Vanilla as she collapses into a deep depression after losing an item that holds an all-important place in her life. Will even Milfeulle's legendary luck be able to find the object? Another one of the funnier episodes is "Monkey Salvage Combo" in which Vanilla, Forte, and Mint stop at a space station which seems to have been taken over by annoying monkeys. The dvd features 6 episodes in all.

As usual, Japanese anime and manga is almost always about underdog losers striving against the universe, and here we have five of them, and let's not forget Normad, the much abused and maligned super computer brain in the form of a goofy-looking pink stuffed animal. The funny thing about the Galaxy Angels is that their main job is to find the Lost Technology even though they don't have a clue as to what the Lost Technology is. So they're basically just bumbling around the universe getting into madcap situations which are always funny and entertaining. Great series!

Extras:
1)Now I Get It Lectures for each episode in which the Japanese voice actress that plays Milfeulle explains about the background of the Galaxy Angel universe.
2)Commercials

If you liked this series, I would also recommend Abenobashi, Miami Guns, and Azumanga Daioh.
