Summary: One of the Best Cartoons Today
Review: Braceface is one of the better cartoons around. In a day and age of non-stop action cartoons and children's wacky cartoons, Braceface offers a refreshing real-life plot with real life situations and problems. It offers the viewers life-lessons without being corny or over-educational. It really does a great job of portraying the awkwardness of teenage life without being a dark, "life is terrible" attitude. Truely one of the greater cartoons in existance.

Summary: Cool extras too!
Review: I've been waiting for this to come out for what seems like forever. But I was pleasantly surprised when the extras turned out to be pretty cool too. The personality test really fun and is pretty much dead on. (I'm Maria) There's this interview with Sharon that answered a few questions for me. Character profiles are pretty standard, but are nice to have in my collection. All in all, I'd say this is a must get for anyone who likes Braceface.

Summary: Parents... Beware!
Review: I've seen this series aired on The Disney Channel and frankly, I'm horrified. Okay, picture this. First, you must keep in mind that this show is aimed at kids, on kids' channels. The show is about a girl, Sharon Spitz, who gets her braces in the first episode, is totally posessed with with getting out with a boy, Alden. She desperately wants to get out on a date with him, and, in case I have to spell it out for you, kiss him. Now first, I don't think that a kids show should be centered around kissing obsessions. But trust me, it gets worse. On occasion, (by no means a rare occasion, I assure you), they use words and phrases that kids really shouldn't know. Such as (to name a few, if i use to many I'll get banned):
"Oh My God!"
The Word "Fart"
"Damn"
"Good Lord"
A "Hell" Phrase
Two good reasons to neglect this. Lastly, the plots stink. Either they'll bore your kids to death, (not to mention that it'll pioson their poor brains anyway), or they'll teach false values.
Well, ONE, TWO, THREE STRIKES! Braceface... yooooooouuuuuurrr OUT! I hope you take my advive, parents, don't get this for your kids. Frankly, I'd sue the DVD Manufacturer. Releasing it on DVD... oh, good greif, it was a mistake to make the series in the first place!
I beg of you. Parents, listen to me. Well, that's it. I hope this review has helped you and encourages you NOT to get this DVD.

Summary: A neat series!
Review: This review is just an in-general one (as, of course, the DVD hasn't come out yet). Wanted to comment that I enjoyed this series when it was on Fox Family (now ABC Family) Channel, would watch it every day and was bummed when it got taken off. So am glad that it's being released on DVD. Have read the episodes to be on this DVD are the first three from the show - "Brace Yourself", "Crushed" and "5 Things That Really Bug Me About You".
