Description:
As the irresistibly silly Comic Party continues, the filmmakers take additional pot shots at the excesses of doujinshi (fan comics), anime, and fandom. Having spent every last yen on his first issue, Kazuki has to take a part-time job--in a role-playing café. Incongruously clad in a military uniform and a long blond wig, he waits tables as Angel Limone from Wedding Peach. When his long-suffering girlfriend Mizuki persuades Kazuki to take some time off from exams and drawing, he drags her to a gargantuan manga shop, which she dismisses as a "den of otoku." Amazed by what he sees, Kazuki decides to incorporate every popular trend into his second issue: robots, maids, angels, uniforms, hamsters, aprons, and tentacles. In the short "extra" episode, Kazuki and his friends discover an ancient ruin filled with manga carved on stone tablets. (Rated 13 and older: minor risqué humor, brief nudity) --Charles Solomon
