Summary: Inu Yasha Vs. Ryuukotsusei
Review: This was the first REAL anime I ever saw (I don't count Pokemon as an anime though My Neighbor Totoro is a good start for young otaku) and I loved it. I began the series around episode 17 but I've seen every single one up to around episode 60 now.

This DVD contains the dramatic battle between Inu Yasha, our demonic long-haired hero, and Ryuukotsusei, a demon who killed Inu Yasha's own father! Inu Yasha had to kill Ryuukotsusei to surpass his own father to make his fang equal to his own father's, making Tetsusaiga lighter (if you didn't watch episodes 43 to 52, don't even try to comprehend this).
But thanks to Nuraku, the real jerk who I'd like to call something a little more adult if I could on this site, a "battle" which would have just included Inu Yasha jabbing Ryuukotsusei's heart out, it turns into a full-fledged fight for Inu Yasha's life. The tension rises as at the end of the first Ryuukotsusei episode, Inu Yasha turns into his FULL DEMON FORM! (something I was eternally creeped out by, see episode 51-52 for reason why!)
The next episode is Inu Yasha overcoming his demon form and regrasping Tetsusaiga and learning the only technique that can kill Ryuukotsusei, the Bakuryuuha (or Backlash Wave if you like that crappy English translation). He kicks Ryuukotsusei's scaley hide and can use the Kizu no Kaze (or Wind Scar you stupid dubbers!)whenever he pleases (no more demon winds to collide, just a giant blast of energy).
In the next episode, Shippo (who I throughly hate), finds his first love and screws it up entirely (I don't pretend to be strong in front of a girl just so she likes me!).
The next episode is about a beautiful dead princess who's spirit is still sucking the youth from men who stray across her path. Naturally Miroku (the funniest of all of them) is inclined to seduce her. But he ends up releasing her from the curse and admitting he likes Sango. But once again, a character screws up a relationship! (...)
