Summary: Great movie
Review: I thought that it was a great twist on the old Genesis story. So long as the taking of religious stories and telling them in a new way doesn't bug you, then watch this movie, even if you are not big into religion, it is a good movie anyways.

Summary: Not as good as I remembered
Review: I watched this DVD having already seen it some years ago. It definitely lost something on the second viewing, perhaps because all of the twists of the plot were known. The animation is somewhat primitive by todays standards, comparable to the old Voltron series, but still good. The movie seemed to drag and did not keep my interest. I would recommend this as a rental for those who have not seen it, but not to buy for repeated viewing.

Summary: Gall Force Eternal Story
Review: Like I said I rate this book a 10. For one thing it is an Anime type book, in Anime books expect the unexpected, the good guys die, the bad guys win. Gall Force is a SCI-Fi book, about seven young women,a part of an all feminen race called the Solonoid, in the distant future, or as you find out later, (in the distant past). With a mission to procede to the planet Chaos The seven girls find themseves cut off from the rest of their fleet, and virtulaly defenceless from the Paranoid, (a race of green jeley like aliens in Bio-Mechanical suits) the story then takes the form of a mix of the movies ALIENS and STARWARS. As the story progresses the girls are picked off one by one, only to find themselves the pawns of a masterplan thought up by both the Solonoid and Paranoid high command. END

Summary: A Great Movie, with an awesome ending.
Review: The Movie Gall Force: Eternal Story, takes place in the past, yet the technology is futuristic. Its about 7 female crew members on a ship, deserted from the rest of the fleet. Their mission is to reach the planet Chaos (Earth's [Tera's] Moon) before their advesaries the Paranoids. But disaster strikes when a jelly-like creature makes its way aboard their ship and plants a bi-racial ( paranoid and solonoid [the girl's race])child, into two of the crew member's bodies, unbeknownst to them. Can the girls, who are being destroyed one by one, make to Chaos in time, and will they find out just what the solonoid and paranoid high command are up to before its too late? Only one way to find out...

Summary: Action Packed From Start to Finish
Review: The plot centers around a group of soldiers who are involved in a centuries-long war between two alien races. The story follows the group's escape from a fierce space battle and their subsequent bouts with the enemy as they make their retreat. This small story branches out into an even bigger story involving their enemy's motives behind their relentless pursuit and the origins of another "alien" race.

This movie contains some really spectacular fight scenes and some neat gadgets too. It is the first movie in the "Gall Force" series and is probably the best.

Review: THIS MOVIE IS GOOD! The plot may be very confusing in the end,but I don't care. I have watched this movie a good few times and I have never got tired of it.
It certainly does deserve 5 stars!

Summary: Good Anime Movie
Review: This was one of the first anime videos I ever purchased when I got the LaserDisc.

The animation shows its age, but it's still a very good movie. A race of female warriors are at war with the Paranoid. They are all trying to get to the planet Chaos. It turns out there is a little secret experiment going on too. There are elements borrowed from Alien, Battlestar Galactica, and Star Trek 2. ...possibly from Star Blazers too. Some parts of the costume and gadget designs resemble things in Bubblegum Crisis which isn't surprising since Kenichi Sonoda was involved.

There is more information, including chapter stops, on the back side of the DVD case insert. The chapter stops should have been printed on a separate card that goes inside the case or on the back of the case like with most DVDs.

The subtitles are not as clear on the DVD as they were on the LaserDisc. They are simply white on the DVD. The LD had different colors being used. Also, there is no translation for the final song. The LD had subtitles during the ending credits, but there is nothing on the DVD for the "Little Johnny" song which is about a woman being involved with a younger man. (Most people may not think about it, but the song does fit.)

The voice actors used for the English version are OK, but I prefer watching this in Japanese with subtitles. The dubbed translation also tends to be cleaned up some.

I enjoyed most of the music in the show. The songs were fairly good too. I didn't see any credits for the songs so I don't know the actual titles.

Overall, I would recommend this DVD, but I do feel US Manga Corps messed up a few items here.
