Summary: One of the best DBZ movies!!!
Review: This movie is one of the best anime movies because it is non-stop kick butt action movie. The fights are directed perfectly to catch the viewer's attention. The music is just awesome. All of the music is from the original DBZ series and it is inserted beautifully. Finally, if you have the chance of buying this movie, BUY IT; I recomed you buy the japaneese one or at least the one with subtitles, but DON'T buy the dubbed one. SO GO OUTT THERE AND BUY IT.

Summary: Tree of Might rocked, and refered to the whole series!
Review: Sayans are coming to Earth to plant the Tree of Might, a gigantic tree that sucks the life out of a planet, and concentates it into its fruit. Goku deals with all but one of them, but the other eats some of the fruit, making him almost invincible to Goku's attacks. Goku tries a spirit bomb, but the the Tree of Might has taken too much energy from the planet, and it is pushed back by an energy blast. Goku has to find another way to attack, but you'll have to watch the movie to find out how.

Summary: Cool, but few surprises
Review: It was great to see the DragonBall Z characters in their original language. Gokou's voice, as provided by Masako Nozawa, is a whole new world for the Occidental otaku who have loved the series with a more masculine voice. Nevertheless, the plot is not new: you have seen it somehow in the series, with different names and situations. Besides, the villain in this movie, Garlic Jr., is a demon who will scare small children when he confronts even God (Kami). Good for the experience of japanese voices.

Summary: Kick Butt!
Review: If you are looking for a great anime martial arts movie you have found it. This movie gets your adrenaline pumping. This is also a great preluge to the Dragon Ball Z series.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Have no clue...
Review: There's only so much story you can tell in a 45-minute movie and "Dragon Ball Z: The Movie- Dead Zone" proves this point. The plot is paper-thin and this movie is very heavy on action. To top it off, the animation really isn't all that great. I suppose there's some market for "DBZ," and perhaps I'm not one of them, but I feel like a story would've helped this mini-film a lot. What little story there is involves Goku going to rescue his son Gohan from a weird little guy named Garlic Jr., who has collected all the dragon balls together and wished for immortality. Violence ensues. There are much better anime movies out there. Do you really want to spend your money on this one?
