As the second season of this popular series continues, the pace of the storytelling accelerates. When she subdues the Dream Card, Sakura realizes that the woman in her recurring dream is her teacher, Ms. Mizuki--whom Kero and Shaoran Li insist possesses powerful magic. In episodes 41 and 42, Sakura and Shaoran are incongruously cast as the Prince and Princess (respectively) in their class production of Sleeping Beauty. During the performance, Sakura captures the Light and Dark Cards and learns the reassuring mantra "I will definitely be alright." Ms. Mizuki observes everything and cryptically assures Shaoran, "It will happen soon." Shaoran's pesky cousin Meilin returns to Hong Kong, leaving the partnership between Sakura and Shaoran to develop without interference. Amid all these story points, the filmmakers manage to find time for Kero's special brand of comedy. (Rated 13 Up, but appropriate for children 3 to 4 years younger) --Charles Solomon
