Summary: Pretty Cool Movie !
Review: I really liked this movie. I think it is for ages 7 and up. Sailor Pluto, Uranes, and Neptune are in it. Sailor moon and the other scouts try to defet the evil snow queen from freezing the earth. There is a part that is funny because Serena and Rini trick one of the snow dancers and go transform. It is a really COOL movie you have to see it. You will like it better then Sailor Moon R. The plot is a little bit better. Luna falls in love with a human. And it is a great movie.

Summary: A Rival of the Original Japanese Edition
Review: Sailor Moon S is the second movie, originally released as a "New Year's Special" in theaters in 1994. It runs less than 60 minutes and was based upon a special story created by Naoko Takeuchi, the author of Sailor Moon. A slightly different manga version is available.

The pace of this movie is slower than the first or third movies, but there are positive points, such as the gags and Luna's human transformation scene. Luna's vision of an "elegant" Usagi is always good for laughs. As always, the animation is of higher quality than the TV series. However, the Japanese ending theme song is probably the worst out of all three movies for me, probably because it's slow and not catchy like R's.

The original Japanese track with voice actors like Mitsuishi Kotono and Keiko Han are superb as always, and the subtitles are actually very high quality. The English dub is what you can expect from any English dub (not great), but since the American TV voice actors are used, at least there are no surprises. Luna's "Angela Lansbury" voice is certainly a disappointment, since the human Luna is supposed to be around 13 years old.

Although the Sailor Moon S Movie is my least favorite of the three movies, Pioneer has done a wonderful job with the world's first DVD edition. Apparently Japan will not be releasing the DVDs anytime soon, if ever.

For fans that were not able to get the original Japanese laserdisc, this is the next best thing, if not better. Being unedited, the movie is shown in its entirety and without any changes done to the animation. Even the original Japanese credits have been included. The disc is catered to the fans of the original Japanese series, using the character's original names in the cast info section and the Japanese voice actors/actresses are listed first with matching characters. The American voice actors are listed as a clump at the end of the credits.

Perhaps the only noticeable exclusions are the non-credited opening/ending and the trailers/TV commercials.

However, the DVD makes up for it by having a non-letterboxed version. How is this better? Unlike usual pan and scan versions of movies, Sailor Moon S (and the previous R DVD) shows more picture at the top and bottom of the screen. If you have the original Japanese versions, make a comparison and you will see what you have been missing.

Summary: Subtitles were MUCH better..
Review: At a friend's birthday party, my friends and I had rented the dubbed Sailor Moon R and S movies from our local movie rental store. Already owning the subtitled R, S, and SuperS movies, I could tell there were many many differences. first of all, they could have done better with the outers' voices. The dubbed movie was exceptionally good with their attack names and the edited stuff--there wasn't much missing. If you want to experience true anime, I'd get the subtitled movies. If you're a bit younger, and aren't aquainted with cursing or partual-hentai, get the subtitled movies.

Summary: A cutie film, but like sailor moon R...u decide!
Review: i have not yet seen the english dub yet because a friend will get it for me on my birthday....but i have seen the japanese one like hmm....alot of times. it was a really cute movie, especially luna and when she does that little pur..but beware! this movie has tons of quiet scenes that will put you in a quick slumber-fest. but like in all movies...the story moves on and all the best happenings appear towards the end...and i like the japanese one but there are alot of blank spaces and empty scenes and i'm sure in the na version they'll add in more lines like in sailior moon R...so i don't really know! so if your like serena...and you feel as if your going to snore...get a soda and think of the fun that's heading your way! oh and luna is totally fab when she turns into a human! hope you like the movie...!

Summary: Yet another great Sailor Moon movie!
Review: This is a great movie but not the best of the Sailor Moon movies. Highly recommended for any Sailor Moon fan!

Summary: Good fun and very cute, but stay away from the dub
Review: An intersting film, not as good as it could have been, ie it could have focused a lot more on the outer soldiers, especially the beautiful yet ruthless Haruka. Ive seen all 200 eps of Sailor Moon and this film definatly helped reduce the withdrawal (sic?) symptoms. If your a fan of Sailor Moon and want to see more, them I would recommend all 3 films. A word of warning, make sure you get a subtitled copy. My DVD was bilingual, and after I'd watched it I tried to see what it was like dubbed - oh dear. The dubbed version is so bad that I couldn't bring myself to watch more than about 5 minutes. Seriously, if you thought that DIC made a balls-up of Sailor Moon then you havn't seen Pioneers effort. Bad dubbing aside this is a very nice film and a must see if you like Luna. I would recommend the DVd as it is a good opertunity to compare the two verions.

Summary: What a flick!
Review: I have been a fan of Sailor Moon for years. I'm not the type that is really worried about the translations, dubbing, what's kept and what's not, etc, I just like what I see. I recommend this movie for fans of Sailor Moon, as well as fans of sappy romance novels or fans of anime all over the world. I have watched this at least 8 times since I have bought it.

Summary: Best movie!
Review: This is a wonderful movie! Not only does it have Super Sailor Moon,it also has Super Sailor Mini Moon.It doesn't have much action as the R movie, But is more romatic. The best part of the movie is when Super Sailor Moon turns Luna into a human girl with her crystal.
