Summary: Twilight of the Dark What?
Review: OK this movie totally [stunk]. First of all it went by way to quickly (45min.) The animation was good I had to say that much but other then that....nothing. The character developement [stunk] having the movie star out with a demon raping some girl......? Don't get your hopes up its nothing eroctic, sure theres a few sketchy scenes but nothing to amusing. The concept of random characters shows up in this movie as well. From one character to the next and then back. It's one of those movies that make you think (that thinking is a bad thing). The movie ends short ( Iodnt want to give anything away) and leaves you .....with nothing actually just a glad feeling that its over and done with never to be watched again unless forced to. Im serious this movie was nothing, if your looking for something more I would go for the Hellsing series or Blood the Last Vampire movie. All in All this movie was a waste, 3 stars for animation, some what of a good character design and plot (if you can call it that......)

Summary: Big dissapointment
Review: Ok, where shuld I start, this movie S-U-C-K-E-D! Ok, sucked. When I saw he cover I expected a at least 1 hour movie, and a good story line. But it had none of this, yeah the guy with the long coat, (The dude with blue hair) was a pretty cool character, as far as drawlings go, but the rest, was a big no-no. And I have to agree I too, feel like this could have been a great story, but was turned into some crap. If some one has the time, they should make a remake on this movie, and make it at least 20 minutes longer. Though I have to admit, it could have been a sad story, between the guy, and the girl, if the rest of the movie wasn't so bad. And some of the rape seens I really didn't care for, and thought that their was no need for it in the story, I think the story could have gone on without it. To the point where I fast forwarded some seens, (mainly because I can't watch things like that and since most anime series, or movies or NR, I have no idea if anything bad's going to happen. So anyway, all I have to say is that someone should make a remake of this story.

Summary: Wish they offered a million stars
Review: Okay, just to warn those fans of animes like Dominion tank police and other silly animes, and also fans of DBZ and battle arena toshinden-type animes THIS IS NOT FOR YOU. The plotline is very dark and twisted, and hard to follow for the (no offense) wacky-anime lovers, however, if you liked X, Ninja scroll, and Vampire Hunter D, then you just may never go back to anything that doesn't have the words "dark, twilight, demon,or evil" in the title again. I cannot express with words the plot in the space provided me, but I can tell you this, Keep both ears open and both eyes on the screen because this anime will have you coming back again and again, not recommended for the kiddies though, let them stick to pokemon. hope I was helpful. bye

Review: The ultimate battle between good and evil? What a laugh. This was a totally boring movie that I had very little intrest in. Don't waist your money on this one.

Summary: Intrigue in future reality pits good against evil.
Review: This animated production is an odd mixture of beautiful and sensitive film sequences which are often followed by sequences that are mediocre at best. On the whole, the movie is well worth watching for its many well constructed sequences. The story line is a twist on the classic good vs. evil concept. It is a study in human committment even to death that seems inadequately understood in the west -- but I think is better understood Japan, the origin of this movie. The film proposes a future world in which Gardian of the Human Race, the mild spoken Mr. Tsunami clashes with the ultimate evil of the world, woven amidst the fabric of deep human committment and love of a mysterious woman and her husband to be. Will their love survive? Will mankind survive? As is often the case in Japanese movies, the ending is not what we, western audience expect. But is nevertheless interesting. While admitting certain weaknesses in the film, I recommend it as interesting entertainment.

Review: This film really has it all, graphic violence, sex, incest, magic, even some demonology. Very slick graphics, and a decent script that almost makes sense. Definitely a must see!

Summary: Good if you give it time
Review: This is really an anime that grows on you. The first time most people watch it they have no idea what's going on. I have shown it to at least 20 friends, and I have had to explain the story too every one of them. None of them even had a clue. Many people say that this is because there is almost no storytelling to speak of, and that nothing is explained. This is not true. There is in fact an extremely involved and layered storyline that works on multiple levels if you just take the time to understand them. It just takes a few viewings. The film is a very stylistic piece, with heavy influence on music, sound effects, and off-the-wall angles and colors. Though this makes the film extremely confusing at first, once you understand the storyline it is it's greatest asset. The music and artwork flesh out this sci-fi horror freak show. The story is extremely layered as well. There's references to the creation of mankind; speculation on the future of pharmacutical companies, the sex industry, technology, and metropolization; the documentation of the evolution of demons, guardians, and humans and their interactions throughout time; and even love stories. Some people would say that the extreme gore and explicit sex are disgusting, but in fact these are crucial to making the film realistc and the establishment of this as a theoretical real future. The characters are original and interesting, and this anime contains my favorite monologue EVER! That's right, including any movie and play I've ever seen. I'm refering to the supreme demon's monologue at final scene. The contrast of the horrific physical form and the intellegent words is absolute genius. My only reasons for not giving it a perfect score are that it is rather brief for a feature (clocking in at just under 45 min), it's a little lacking in character developement, and the DVD itself it totally lame. There are virtually no extra features of any value whatsoever. But don't let that deter you from purchasing it, because overall this is a great anime that is hard to appreciate, but once it has been it is quite an achievement and definitely worth picking up.

Summary: It had it's ups and downs
Review: This movie had a great story and very nice art. The voices were done well also. If you like your movies having good plots and stories and don't care too much for battles and fighting, I'd say you would like this movie a lot. But i like my movies with a little more fighting, blood, and all that other good stuff. I think this movie could have been a lot better though. There wasn't really a climax in the movie. It was just a constant flow. Even at the end of the movie, the fight scene was a little on the dull side. I don't know if I'd recomend to buy this movie. Unless you like the type of movie with a good story and not much action. I like all kinds of animes, but this one just didn't seem all that interesting to me.

Summary: Great anime for the "monster" lovers!
Review: This movie is great. If you love monster anime, then this movie is for you. Tsunami is the hottest "demon hunter" I have seen so far - aside from D, of course. This movie does have partial nudity so discretion is advised for those under 18.
