Summary: Quite excellent
Review: It's about time that they finally put this series on DVD. Not that I already don't worship Lion's Gate Entertainment for the theatrical release of Dogma (After Miramax refused to touch it), but after this release to DVD, I grovel at their feet. I remember in my high school years, I'd get up at 6:30 just to watch the good Sonic cartoon (As opposed to the awful syndicated version which I dub "Tails and Stimpy"). It's a pity it only lasted two seasons and left us all on one whopper of a cliffhanger. But I digress.

Anyways, for the DVD itself, they took four of the best episodes of the first season. If that's not cool enough, they put in a fifth episode, which is THE BEST episode of the first season, in as an easter egg. All you gotta do is get all the questions in the trivia game answered correctly and it'll be unlocked! Again, mad props to Lion's Gate.

Summary: A Truely Brilliant Animated Show.
Review: This animated Series from 1993-1995 gained such a popular following on the Internet. The show is set in another world
called " Mobius" that has many creatures galore until the
evil Doctor Robotnik crashes in and wants to rule the world
of " Mobius", but a team of freedom fighters lead by the
Brave and daring " Sonic The Hedgehog" and the Beautiful
and wonderful " Princess Sally" to fight back against the machines. A Simply great Show that should be a Animated movie
in the future, but Princess Sally is hands down one of the most
beautiful Cartoon girls of all time and i have a crush on her.
Animation fans, go watch this show.

Also recommended: Spawn ( the animated Series), Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Fist of the North Star, Escape from New York, Total
Recall, Starship Troopers, The Fifth Element, The Matrix,
and Aeon Flux.

Summary: ...
Review: ...This show is a PERFECT portrayal for Sonic! So what if Tails doesn't hang around Sonic as much as he does in the games? So what if Sonic's leading lady is Princess Sally and not Amy Rose? So what if Robotnik is smart and not stupid? Video game-based TV shows don't HAVE to be exactly like the games themselves! Just look at the Donkey Kong Country TV show. That show was hardly ANYTHING like the DKC games, but I think that the DKC show was the perfect portayal for Donkey Kong! Besides, at times the games have gaping plot holes (I.E. Amy somehow turned 13 in Sonic Adventure, but Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles haven't aged a bit). Also (with all regards to Jalea Bates), don't hate Sally because she's beautiful! Sonic showed a lot more love for Sally than Amy could ever hope to get from him! So who cares if this show is not %100 SegaSonic? It's a perfect portarayal of Sonic, so buy it!

Summary: Not just four, but five episodes!!!
Review: Not only is this DVD great because of its four episode content, but it also contains a special trivia game in which you can receive a special bonus episode. So that's a total of five, all on one disc!! :-)

Now, don't confuse this Sonic the Hedgehog series with the other counterparts out there (Adventure of Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Movie, and Sonic Underground) because if you ask anyone, this is by far the best of 'em all. Trust me.

Highly similar to the Sonic comicbooks out there, the episodes include "Super Sonic", "Sonic and Sally", "Sonic Racer", "Sonic Boom" and "Sonic and the Secret Scrolls" (bonus) of the first season of airing. That's over 85 minutes!!

I highly recommend this, and if you're wanting more episodes released onto DVD, you gotta buy this in support. If sales don't fly, then this could be it... :-\

Summary: Way past cool DVD
Review: Don't pass this DVD up! Hundreds of thousands of fans have been prying for years at the attention of the video companies to put this series out on DVD, because it's just so good. I picked one up just recently, even though I already have two copies of all of the old VHS, and I'm completely glad I did. There's not only a good number of listed cartoons on this disk, but also a trivia game which you can play to unlock a bonus episode never released on VHS! Hurry up and buy a copy - buy your friends and family copies - just buy buy buy. We have to let them know there's a market for them so they'll put out more!

Summary: not The Sonic I Know
Review: Let me say a few quotes:

"gotta juice!"

"Sal's in mondo danger!"

those are actual phrases said by Sonic in this DVD. x_X now, the sonic i know wouldn't use such immature second-graderish dialouge. he also wouldn't be a lovey-dovey fool like he is in this DVD. Sonic does NOT like Chili Dogs, nor is he a part of the "freedom fighters" this cartoon has really nothing to do with Sonic. & the plotline has nothing to do with Sonic eiether. Robotnik (who DIC disfigured horribly) has taken over a city called Motropolis, ruled by the (ugh) Royal Acorn Family. he roboticized everyone he could, & turned Mortopolis into Robotropolis, a city o steel, guarded by swatbots. now, if you have played the games, & are expecting, Sonic Tails Knuckles & Amy to go on a adventue, you're dead wrong. Tails' isn't ALLOWED to hang out with Sonic when he goes to stop Eggman, Amy & Knuckles are nowhere in the show as well. neither are the emrals. another thing that makes the show [bad] is the characters being too over-the-top in dramatic scenes. this show does not have comedy. this show has little action. Sally takes the spotlight from Sonic as well. basically, the show is a animated soap opera starring a out-of-character Sonic & a bunch of misfits.

Summary: It's Back!
Review: This is a great series for all sonic fans or fans just getting into it. The disc has 5 episodes to it and they are rwally enjoyable!

Summary: one the greats making a 7 year come back!!!
Review: I think we have the current releases of Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Advance to thank for the resurection of of what fans call SatAM sonic. SatAM is the fanbase code for Saturday Morning Sonic. Alot of video game shows have come and go, but this show was easier distingish. The difference that made it a great show, was that each episode contained emotion and a compelling story, instead of recycled bits from a game. It showed that Sonic had other friends besides Tails and fight a battle against tyrany and slavery. The animation is similar to a movie, and the backgrounds are dark, which to me is symbolism. Out of all the shows I grew up watching these past 20 years, this is one of the greats. Unfortuantly, the cliffhanger episode "Doomsday" left ideas open to what would happen in the third season. With a huge fanbase thats still growing, Ben Hursts masterpiece might become an animated movie or a call for new episodes.

Summary: Something to be really unhappy about
Review: This disc actually contains an extra episode, only reachable after you complete an 8-question quiz about the show. While yes, I am really happy about getting an entire extra episode's worth of entertainment, I am very unsatisfied on with how you can reach it. When I want to watch a DVD I want to be able to quickly be able to reach all of the content and not have to think too hard in the process. I want to be able to just sit back and enjoy myself. With DVD technology and the use of menus, everything should be just a few clicks away. I don't want to have to complete a damn quiz just to watch the fifth episode located on the DVD. I didn't pay money for this. I don't think there's a single person that really cares for these types of extras in the first place, anyway. I want to easily watch the content of my DVD as I should be able to, not have to play these stupid little kid games. If I wanted to have to work for my entertainment, I'd buy some PSX videogame. This is not what I expected, to have to perform repetitive steps in order to watch a TV episode in which I payed for. What the heck is wrong with these people?! Finally, Inspector Gadget in the menus as well? While he certainly was entertaining in his day as I was a child, Dic or whoever is producing these DVD's should learn how to keep their products uniform. Randomly pick a SONIC THE HEDGEHOG character and put him there. Not some character from a totally unrelated cartoon TV series. Horrible! If Sonic the Hedgehog the TV series had a real and well-working fanbase, such as the one of anime, they would be tearing these producers apart. I am dissatisfied!

Summary: Way Passed Cool! Sonic SatAM is back!
Review: I can't believe it! After all this waiting they are FINALLY coming out with a SatAM DVD. I was kinda hoping they put it back on air but since that ain't happening I guess this is the next bast thing. I heard there was a bonus episode on there if you take a quiz or something but don't hold it against me if there isn't. Like I said I just heard it on a website. But I heard that if you take a quiz on the show and pass you get the extra episode! (We should be able to breeze through that right?) In the words of a great hedgehog this DVD is going to be Way Passed Cool!
