Summary: Trunks vs. Goten who is stronger?
Review: An amazing Japenese version except dubbed! Trunks makes Goten suffer but whats this? Goten goes SSJ and they both beat on each other. And the outcome? Blackout or in other words Draw. A great tape just right before the majin and buu sagas.

Summary: The Majins
Review: I made a mistake before on the summary I thought I was writing a review on the Junior division.

This is what happens. The majins Supopo and Kibit etc.. try to capture some of Gohans energy and place it in Buu so he can be awakened. But not if Videl has anything to say about it.

Summary: Videl has lost/identity exposed
Review: I saw this video in Japan and it is about Videl losing a fight and Gohan (aka Great Saiyaman) exposing himself to the crowd. It all starts when Videl was fighting a majin. At first Videl was winning but in the end she loses. When fighting she kicked the majin so hard that his head broke and twisted. There was a silence in the crowd, then he was standing up and popped his head back into place, Videl was in shock. After that Videl was getting beat up by the majin. When she lost she nearly killed. When this happened Gohan turned into a super saiyin and took off his head garment and sunglasses to show the crowd who the Great Saiyin. If I was someone I would by it right away!

Summary: Blackout
Review: I'd put the covers on these guides but I don't know how. I have the covers.

A Dark and Secret Power - Videl takes to the ring for what is expected to be an easy victory over Spopovitch. Videl hits the towering brute with everything she's got, but her attacks have no effect. It seems Spopovitch is possessed by a supernatural power not his own!

Videl Is Crushed - With his seemingly unlimited supply of super strength, Spopovitch easily takes control of the match. To the horror of all, he delays his inevitable victory for the purposes of torturing Videl! And it looks like the muscle-bound thug isn't going to stop until he kills her! Will Videl make it out of the ring alive?

Identities Revealed - Gohan's luck runs out, as his identity is discovered when he takes his place on the tournament floor. But Gohan has other things to worry about; his opponent Kibito is determined to see him transform into a Super Saiyan! Gohan had better be careful, evil eyes are closely watching his every move!

Energy Drain - Gohan transforms into a Super Saiyan in the middle of the arena, and Spopovitch and Yamu spring into action! Armed with a mysterious device that drains his energy, the pair launch an attack on the golden-haired teen. Will Gohan survive this vicious assault?

Summary: nice video! MEGA SPOILERS!
Review: If you hate Videl, or are just mad at her for how big of a jerk she was in the Saiyaman saga, then this is the video for you! Videl gets the absoulet snot beaten out of her! {of course all it takes is a senzu bean to make her feel better} Spopovitch's beating of Videl truly is brutal. {on the other hand if I had my neck torqued around I'd be mad too} I think it would have been better if Gohan had stopped Spopovitch instead of Yamu, but then they would have found out about him being the gold fighter. the funniest part about this video is when Sharpner and Erasa find out about gohan being both The Great Saiyaman AND The Gold Fighter, Erasa stutters "boy... he sure is.. talented, huh?" Hilaerus! and also ChiChi wants so bad for gohan to become a scholer as we all know, but how she cheers him on when he is about fight is very funny! Videls reaction to gohan being The GF is off because she suspected it in "Blackmail." The emotion between Gohan and Videl is good too. the reason it gets four stars is because there is almost no action in the second part.
but I give it four and a half stars.

Summary: Finally! Funimation gets it right!
Review: If you've collected any of the early DBZ DVD's and were as dissapointed as I was, here's a nice change. Finally Funimation is including Japanese and English versions on the same DVD and running them as individual episodes instead of the hour long "mini-movie" versions the first several DVD's were released in. I've been watching the Japanese versions since before the DVD's came out and I personally LIKE the dubbed version. The music is better and, at least in this DVD, there aren't any cuts. The VHS's of the same episodes are similar to the Cartoon Network version. You'll find this DVD, in both languages, call Mr. Satan by his name instead of Hercule. The VHS has SATAN scrubbed from all the building and vehicles. This is veiwable in Japanese WITH the Japanese titles and credits OR in English with English titles and credits. BLACKOUT actually has 4 episodes instead of 3, allowing it to end with a little more closure than it would have had at the end of the third episode.
The "Great Sayaiman Saga" leading up to the episodes included here will begin their run on Cartoon Network in mid-September 2001, but they are likely to seem like a completely different show by the time CN finishes their chopping. I recommend this if you are true DBZ fan!
