Review: this was a very entertaining movie and i loved how all the characters showed a sense of concern for each other. when it finished, i was urging for more and i couldn't wait to see the next tenchi movie! the action and weapons, just everything looked awesome!

Review: I bought this DVD because it got so high grades here. But i was very disapointed when i saw it. I really can't understand why somone would like this kind of movie ! Bad animated and bad sound. The only god animated films comes from Disney !

Summary: For those who've seen Tenchi, and for those who haven't...
Review: ...This was the first anime I had ever seen, and even though I wasn't familiar with the characters, customs, or Japan in general, I was hooked. It was purely entertaining for someone who had never seen this type of animation before, and I was skeptical. Also, if you are a fan of Tenchi, you will love this movie. It explores his past and gives you a better understanding of his connections. It is dramatic and serious,but lighthearted in the right places. It is a must-see. Also, the music is great! The extras that come on DVD are awesome!

Summary: A Japanese Animation masterpiece! A must see!
Review: Tenchi the movie was such a pure entertaining film with the elements what make a film worth seeing. It doesn't have to be a motion picture that can be good. It proves animation can be good as a motion picture. Why? It has elements that no other animation I've ever seen when I was growing up watching Saturday morning cartoons. First, with very detailed and vivid animation that looked like the best and talented Japanese animators has worked on. Second, the score for the film plays a part with what happens. By listening to the music, it brings the film to a full circle by it lush and symphonic sound that has come to composer Christopher Franke's work in this genre. Music that punches through every explosion without losing it Melodic track. Third, the characters in the film basicly bring it to life. By knowing these characters, I feel this adds more depth to the film and background of the characters who I could really relate to. This movie overall ment something to me personally. When I was growing up, I really intruiged by Japan. And by watching this movie as well as the second one, I get a taste of Japan that really intriges me. So this is one of the best animation film I've ever seen as well as the second one.

Summary: A Story-telling Feat!
Review: For an avid fan of anime, Tenchi the Movie sends me into orbit. Switching from the depths of space, to present-day Japan, to the 1970's,with such fluidity is no small feat. This film tells the true story of Tenchi's mother and her importance to his life. With memorable characters, flawless art work, and an intense plot: this movie rocks!

Summary: actually five stars, but I knew a one would get attention
Review: I am reviewing this films primarily for the reason that I looked at some of the other animated titles which are available on DVD: most aren't very good but are very highly rated.You see, current fans of Japanese animation are, quite rightly, very loyal to this genre and give out high marks indiscriminately. This method however seems to be counter-productive as it could result in people buying these lesser titles, not being impressed, and thereby giving up on anime (japanese animation.) Tenchi Muyo, however, is one that does deserve a 100% five star rating. While it would never be considered for an Oscar, there are few movies which are as thoroughly entertaining in all aspects of emotion from comedy to moments of true heart-wrenchingness. And it is still sufficiently close to the gentle-type of animation which Disney has convinced everyone is all there can be that you will not suddenly get up in horror that there is (my God!) real life in your animation. My suggestion would be to buy this movie on DVD, then go look at anime on video for a while. Once you're caught up maybe some of the other good series will have made it to DVD.

Summary: Great animation!
Review: I love the coloring and character design of Tenchi Muyo! Great animation and a great movie too! Travel back in time with Tenchi and the gang as Tenchi tries to save his mother in the past to keep him from disappearing. Really nice film! I prefer this one to the second Tenchi Muyo film!

Summary: Pretty good movie
Review: This movie has an intriuging story line and is well animated. The first 5-10 minutes have some crazy animation, and the rest of the movie is smooth as well. It was also good to see an engaging story for a change. I think it's one of the better movies to come out in a while. It's not a classic, but definitly worth checking out.
