Vandread - Second Stage - Final Assault (Vol. 4)

Review: I find that with a lot of anime titles, the ending is usually rushed. But with this DVD, the ending was not only awesome to watch but it took its time in wrapping up the story, as well as providing a few more surprises-especially with regards to the enemy leader. Overall, the Vandread series is a well thought out original story, with crisp hand-drawn animation and great cg animation. I reccomend the whole series but don't forget this title because even if you don't like the story the battle scenes at the end are just too good to pass up.

Review: OMG!!!! This is one of the greatest anime series of all time. The graphics were amazing, characters were awesomely drawn and writing correctly. This series was full of surprises, it left me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I am hoping that the come out with a third installment or a movie, because the can still continue it, with the same crew and with the other pirates. Overall the ending was awesome, here's to a movie or a third installment.

Review: Wow!! Simply Wow!!

Vandread is without a doubt my favorite anime series!! There are so many different aspects that make an ordinary anime series into a perfect one and Vandread has them all!!

1.) The story line is remarkable and clear.

Sometimes in anime the story line is not really clear and makes you stop and think about what was meant. I really don't mind that at all. However Vandread is not like that at all, the story line is very easy to follow and very addictive. Everything about who they were fighting; to why the men of Taraak an women Mejale live on seperate planets. This is truly an amazing story of love and courage that you will remember.

2.) GREAT GONZO!!!

Another aspect that can really make a remarkable anime is the style of animation and CG 3D Animation. Let me just say that GONZO is freaking amazing!! In case you were wondering, GONZO is an animation studio that has really made a name for itself for it's style of animation. With series like Full Metal Panic, Hellsing, and Last Exile <-(check this one out, simply astonishing animation and CG!!) just to name a few though they all were done after Vandread, GONZO has proven their uncanny ability to blend together beautifully drawn animation with some pretty amzing CG 3D graphics.

Vandread was true to GONZO's name with the rich and and colorfull animations and 3D graphics. The battle scenes were probably some of the best for the time that this was made, and the MECH designs were also good. The animation in Vandread truly made it mezmorizing to watch.

3.) Memorable Characters...

This was truly the aspect I enjoyed the most about Vandread. I think that Dita Liebely is probably one of the best chararters ever drawn. She's cute, emotional, clumbsy and has a hilarious personality all in one, all you can expect from a female anime character. Her counterpart "Mr. Alien" or Hibiki Tokai your typical male hero that saves just about every day. The whole crew of the Nivana is probably in inlove with him (including Bart!) The rest of the characters in the series are just as memorable as these two are :)

4.) The Ending!!

Wow, the ending of this series was touching. I don't want to say anything to spoil the ending but this is probably one of the best ending to an anime series I have seen!!

If you have not started watching Vandread as of yet and are a fan of Mecha series, consider yourself a slacker!! I can not say enough good thing about this series, it simply amazing.

Martian Successor Nadesico, Neon Genesis Evangelion, RahXephon, Full Metal Panic...... any fan of mecha will likt this series, I promise!!
