Review: This is the most gory movie that I have ever seen. I wish the stores could warn the consumers before they buy the products. Some say they hated it and some say they like it, it was the best animated film. It was this and it was that. But I say, "DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE!" To many confusing scenes that will leave you confused. And when you are confused, you can't enjoy the movie. So If you like brain teasers throughout a movie, then this is the one for you. It does have a lot of action, but you won't hardly know why.

Review: Wrath of the ninja is a good movie purely for the action scenes. The story is average the characters are OK the animation is good I suppose.. BUT THE ACTION IS SWEET!!!! Tons of people complain about the lack of an indepth story. Well it's true. There isn't a "princess mononoke plot". but who cares? If you can sit back watch this movie and appreciate it for what it is - not an indepth brain teaser - but a non-stop hack and slash anime you will most likely enjoy it.

Summary: Starts off average, gets much better
Review: For the first three fourths of this movie i kinda liked it. But, at the end i was throughoutly pleased. The art is good, better than enything Disney(eeerrr...) , but not the best. The soundtrack was fine, the action was okay, and the dubbing was okay (I always watch my anime subed, but the rental place only had dubbed) The only nudety is so far away that you can hardly see anything, though. The movie is pretty bloody, but not like ninja scroll. Anyway, buy it, rent it, watever. just see it.

Review: I think this movie is terrific. If you are into Anime,ninja's,and Sengoku Jidai this is the movie for you. It is about three Ninja that rome throughout Japan seeking the head of the warlord Oda Nobunaga. He was a real life warlord during Japan's Sengoku Jidai ("the age of the country at war"). The only thing was in real life he wasn't planning on becoming a demon. I thought this movie was great. it had lots of action,gore,and magic. This movie also had a great story line. I give it an A+

Summary: HACK HACK HACK HACK!!!!
Review: This movie is great if you're into tons of hackenslash madness (which coincidentally I am). The fighting kind of reminded me of a really bloody crouching tiger hidden dragon. Tons of back flips in the air and hacking arrows with swords and all that unimaginabley cool stuff. The animation is really really good considering that it was made in 1989 but compared to ninja scroll and Princess monononke it's kind of dated.(It is better than MD Geist) The dubbing is good and the weapons they have are unique and sweet.
Overall you should definitely buy this DVD.

Review: Holy cow! I love this movie! I rented it once to see what it was then immediately went out and bought the DVD! I mean the story was just great and oh lord....i cant comment the ppl who made this enough! Being an AVID anime fan i think this just tops the cake!

Review: This film is...ok.
I tried to thoroughly enjoy this film but I couldn't quite do it. The animation is good but it is , definitely , not on the level of Ninja Scroll. Ninja Scroll was an artistic masterpiece while WOTN is not a masterpiece and it isn't terrible it is just....ok.
There were great moments that I enjoyed but then I wouldn't care. I also think that a more lively soundtrack wouldn't have hurt this film. What the heck were they using for the music a kazoo???Not exactly my idea of action music. Anyway , if you want the best ninja/sword film then get "Ninja Scroll" to own. You might want to rent "Wrath of the Ninja" before you make a decision on buying it. To me it's a little spotty.

Summary: HATE the re-edited movie, Love the original 3-part series!
Review: Yotoden is one of my favorite anime series of all time but the movie is an absolute travesty! Wraith of the Ninja is just a butchered version of the original 3-part series with horrible dubbing. The movie version cuts out about 30 to 45 minutes of the original 3-part series. What they mainly of cut out of the original story were parts that gave the it more of historic viewpoint and some scenes between two of the main characters and two of the supporting ones that deepened their relationships. The horrible dubbing also really hurt the flow of the story and can't compare to the great jobs done by the original Japanese cast. The only positive statement I can make about Wraith of the Ninja compared to the original is that they added about 5 minutes of footage that were never shown in the original series.Basically if you liked the movie, the original 3-part series will give you a deeper appreciation of work. If you didn't like it, then the original might change your opinion.
