Summary: I love the series but...
Review: ... none of the reviewers talk about the languages included in this set. Does it include the Japanese, as well as Spanish dubbings? I have seen the Spanish dubbing extensively and I can say it is excellent. I have no doubt the Japanese one is good.

As far as the series is concerned, it is by far one of the greatest I have seen in my life. It made a whole generation in Mexico get up at 7am on Saturday mornings for numerous years (cause that was the only time you could catch the new episode, no matter how many reruns there were at other schedules.)

I only hope someone talks about the quality of THIS BOXED SET.

Summary: Saint seiya dvd I
Review: Amazing dvd, I personally don't listen to the english track, it hurts my ear. But oh my god the quality and the sound are the best, i personally tryed every dvd from lots of country and this is a the best. The best part is that it's 100 % uncut, and as being a european I was amazed to see how much was cut out. I have to say this is a must have for any fan.

Summary: The classic anime is here at last!
Review: First, don't confuse this with "Knights of the Zodiac". Saint Seiya is an excelent classic anime, with great characters, and gorgeous music. Don't be afraid of giving this old gem a try, you might be surprised at how much you'll like the characters later on.

Summary: ADV have done an excellent job with this anime title!
Review: I have recently bought this item the other day since I am a big fan of the anime series and I must say ADV Films have done Saint Seiya justice. Unlike Cartoon Network's and Dic 'Knights Of The Zodiac' which is completely censored, ADV have brought it out uncut with the original introduction and ending sequences including the rest of the original soundtracks. I have listened to the English dub and as usual I never like the English dubs because they are always sound awful so I usually stick to watching anime with the original dialogue. Transfer wise it is not bad, it is nice and clean since it is an old series and the sound quality on dvd is brilliant as always. My only gripe about this dvd is I wish there were more than five episodes in this volume but still enjoyed it neverless. I hope ADV Films has also aqquired the rights to release the Hades Saga and the Saint Seiya movies too because it would be a mistake to leave them out for an official DVD release. This series beats the hell out of the rest and with Hades it has become even better and I understand a new movie is in the works to titled ' Heaven' which takes place after Hades possibly be based on the Zeus chapter that never got published and may be this movie could be it.
Keep up the good work ADV Films and Long Live Saint Seiya!

Summary: Just magnificent!
Review: I have seen the whole series from the very beginning to the end in original Japanese many times already; but I still can't resist the temptation of getting its DVD though the whole story is engraved in my memory.
I first saw it at the age of 7,now with more than 10 years having passed, it's still one of my favorite amines.

Summary: greatest anime series ever
Review: i have seen these series both in raw jap. and spanish they rock.these can be considered one of the few anime titles that will beat the snot out of dragon ball fans for sure. the fighting scenes and animation are beyond good, highly recomend it to anyone who just heard about their release in the usa and airing in cartoon network.

Summary: Awesome series.
Review: I think this is one of the single coolest anime shows ever created. The character designs are flat out awesome and although the animation isn't up to today's standards, I like it better. It has more heart than most crap series today. Characters are full of personality and the series' themes of friendship, camaraderie and perseverance are timeless. The character artwork, though old by some people's standards, is gorgeous and the artists- Shingo Araki and Michi Himeno- are two of the industry's greatest. Masami Kurumada is a genius with fight scenes and they translate beautifully to the anime. The series does get a bit repetative but, if you like Ronin Warriors, Fist of the North Star, Dragon Ball Z or Yu Yu Hakusho or even Flame of Recca then you may well enjoy this. Look past the age of the series and enjoy it for what it is: A good storyline with cool characters and incredible dramatic fight scenes.

Summary: GREAT SHOW!!! UNCUT!!!
Review: I watched the original series in Mexico where it became very popular as well as Europe where an endless line of toys started to show up and from every country there was a different version of them. It is still one of my favorites animes of all time and this time with all the blood and gore. Unlike Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z this show has a great continuity, its a long story but is amazing how well the writers managed to continue the story with out becoming repetitive like DB. I'm so grateful to ADV to have published this series at last, there is no doubt I'll keep buying the rest of the series. I wish they could also publish Candy and Remi, another 80's series.

Summary: Excellent Anime
Review: I watched this series several years ago in French and could not believe my eyes when I saw ADV releasing Saint Saiya in English.

Other reviews have commented on the story so I will not go into any detail; suffice to say that the story is well worked out with in depth character build out and a lot of action.

The conversion to DVD was to my amazement great on my 64 inch TV. I have seen more recent released TV series and brushed up cartoons with a lot more picture noise then this one. Even the English voices fit the characters.

This series is a must for anyone liking fantasy/mythology/anime and should be part of your core of anime movies.

Summary: All my 7-10 years old.
Review: I'm living in Canada now. When I was child, I was living in Paris, France. The T.V. animate series I liked the most was "Knights of the Zodiac". Since, I never hear about them, until, I decided to search some information about them, and if they have made a DVD set. So, I would like to make a question for those who knows about the series. Tell me what is difference with "Saint-Seiya"? I wish to buy the DVD's but I would like to know what is the differences. Thank you.
