Summary: The Best Gundam Series there is
Review: I own this on vhs, and I love it... it makes gundam wing look like a baby. There is alot of battles and the mobile suits are alot believeable, they don't fly around like toys, they move like they weigh what they do. The main characters are very good, and the dub is perfect... there is a very complex story, and it just is great buy it, and you will understand why gundam is the best there is.

Summary: The best Gundam OAV I've ever seen ^_^
Review: I saw all Gundam series and OAVs from the U.C., and I like them all. However, only the "Gundam 0083" meets all of my wishes that a science-fiction OAV must have: a lot of action since the beginning and a bit love between the main characters.
I underestimated this series before I've seen it, I didn't know too much about it, but as a Gundam fan as I am, I told myself that I had too see it too.
Before, I thought that "Gundam 08th MS Team" was the best OAV in the Gundam Universum, but I was wrong. Well, I like "Gundam 08th MS Team" a lot too, but if you ask me to choose, then Gundam 0083 is the 1st.
The music and songs are also very good. I will look to get the CDs somewhere. The Gundam Enyclopedia is also well done and a MUST READ for the real Gundam fan. All espisodes are so "dynamic" that you will look 3-4 episodes at time: you will tell yourself "I MUST KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!".
If you are an "Action-guy" like me, then BUY "GUNDAM 0083", you can trust me. Have fun!
Oh yes, I LOVE NINA PURPLETON TOO :-)

Summary: If the entire show was like this, it would be an EPIC
Review: I'll have to admit, DVDs 1-2 of this show....well, they sucked . Poor animation, Shoddy voiceover, one would think this would be a horrid Gundam prequal (I say prequal 'cause it was ment to explain the events leading up to Zeta Gundam) in the history of....well, Gundam, so you can imagine the hesitiation i went through buying this volume (4). Once I started viewing the final episodes, I started thinking, "This is amazing"! The final episodes of Gundam 0083 Stardust memory are some of the BEST episodes I have ever seen (bar none). There are some corny moments (Caused by the music)but besides that, These are the best. I just have one last thing to say. They turned the entire 0083 series into a movie (The Last Blitz of Zeon). That movie should be coming to theaters this fall (Along with Mobile Suit Gundam F91,which is a sequal to Char's Counterattack) I have a bad feeling though, hthat the movie will ruin the siries for all future generations. Oh well, Best get this DVD, cause its the 0083, most of us, never knew

Peace out! Matt B.

Summary: The best Gundam series!
Review: I've been a fan of Gundam for over 15 years and this series by far is the best there is atm. With some of the best animation, designs of mobile suits and a intense story this is one that must be watched by all Gundam fans.

From the quality of the Wing DVDs, all I can expect that this DVD will be excellent.

Here's hope that "Char's Counter-attack" comes out soon as well!

Summary: Bandai never disappoints...
Review: Once again Bandai delivers the goods with their latest Gundam DVD release. Excellent subtitling, crisp and rich picture quality that doesn't suffer from poor compression/artifacts and a nice looking DVD cover...Why doesn't everyone release their anime with this level of excellence? Who knows...

This OVA(Original Video Animation) fits in between the original MS Gundam(0079-0080) and Z Gundam(0087) series. It was one of the first series in the Gundam universe to not involve New types and focus on the grunt eye view of MS battle. The story is hard military space opera...young soldiers caught in the aftermath of the 1 year war are forced to grow up fast while the world around them falls apart and all their illusions of duty and glory are shattered.

The animation is excellent. With rich colors, reminiscent of many Toei productions in the early/mid 80's, and highly detailed robots screaming through space...many consider 0083 to be the best animated Gundam of all time....

I would recommend all the discs of this series. This is the kind of work that has attracted me to anime as far back as the 70s.

About the only thing I could ask for would be slightly nicer menus. They are pretty generic...but that's really my only "gripe".

Summary: Next the 3rd DVD this ones the best.
Review: The 1st and 3rd DVDs in the 4 disc series are the best, they supply enough action, drama and sheer excellence to make this series that ends quite poorly shine. I am not going to get into the story of this series as seeing how you are looking this item up you probably know at least something about Gundam and thge myriad of other reviews aside from mine have already explained the plot in and out. But I just want to say that this series while bad at some points is full of some very touching and heartbreaking moments(First episode on DVD 3 most of all).

Summary: Gundam 0083
Review: This DVD was awesome! Gundam 0083 is one of the best(if not the best) in the Gundam series. If you enjoy the Universal Centerie Sagas(like 8th MS team,War in the pocket and, Mobile Suit Gundam)
you will love this. This in some ways is a much improved verision of Mobile Suit Gundam. The animation is the best I've ever seen and the action none-stop!

Episode one: We are introduced to Kou Uraki the mian Character and his best friend Keith. They are Federation Test pilots. They see the new War Ship, Albion! It carries two Gundams While the y look on and annoy Nina Purpleton the Gundams..(well I didn't pay attention to what she did). Anavel Gato the enemy ace pilots steal a gunbdam unit!

Episode two: Kou fights Gato and Gato escapes! They follow him and destroy his Komusai transport. Kou gets luckey and defeats Gato but Gato escapes.

Episode Three: Three new, rude pilots are brought in to fight on the Albion. Kou gets into a fight with one of them and is challenged to a Mobil Suit Battle(using piant rounds) to determine who should pilot the Gundam. Kou wins!

Episode four: The Albion and it's crew Begin tracking down Gato and the stolen Gundam, a spy on board steals a Core Boster and escapes(he is shot down by his own troops)! Kou and the other pilots defeat a Zeon base! Gato escapes!

Summary: great show
Review: this is one of the greatest gundams of all time and just might be my favorite only problem is the fact that it's only 13 episodes long. the animation was superb it had exclent vibrant colors and the gundams looked great th animation never went down even in battles it amazed me with the intense amount of detail they used for the show. the story was also top notch even though it was only 13 episodes they got a lot done, it made sense, and the characters couldn't have been better. this show had action, romance, suspense, and a little bit of comedy all rolled into one show. Also there were a few scenes in the show that were pretty tear jerking like farewell to Lt. Burning man that one chokes me up every time. it's a great show and i'd recomend it to gundam fans, anime fans, and the curious.

Summary: Epitome of Gundam
Review: This is what Gundam should be. Big walking tanks with guns piloted by soldiers instead of robots with wings piloted by little girlie preteen boys. Stardust has some great action sequences backed up by an interesting story complete with neat plot devices and twists. I won't say anymore about that, just check it out for yourself.

As for the DVD, it should be a keeper. Bandai's past Gundam discs have been really good in video, audio and extras. This disc promises to have a 5.1 track for the Japanese language, so this one that shouldn't be passed over.
