Review: S(ailor)M(oon)S v(olume)5 in my opinion is the best DVD yet out of the previous four...so far that is. SMS v6 will knock the others out of the water. V5 is when things start picking up. The last episode on this DVD is the main reason why SMS is my favorite season, though i considered most of the beginning of this season kind of boring..but still...it has to be my favorite due to the awsome final 14 episodes. SMS v5 is also really good because like i said..the action really starts in this DVD..and if you wanna skip all the mellow-drama and get to the action...buy this DVD (as well as v6).
Like the other SMS DVD's, v5 has reversible covers with what I think is the most gorgeous pictures ever created.(Uranus, Neptune and Pluto-Side 1) (Tuxedo Kamen and ChibiMoon - Side 2). This DVD features Sailor Mars and the Extra's contain a well written bio on Rei Hino/Sailor Mars and even a small gallery (containing 5 pictures) and the original japanese opening (version 0.3) as well. And of course you can watch it in Japanese or English- both versions are good.
SMS DVD v5 truley introduces Sailor Saturn, the history of the Death Busters, some major drama with Chibiusa and Setsuna and best of all you get to meet my favorite villian of all the SM series..Telulu. All in all this is a great DVD which features the awsome Supers season.

Summary: The best season of them all
Review: Some say that Stars is the best season, but I would definitely have to go with smS. The outer senshi are by far the most interesting and powerful and this season is focused (for the most part) on them. They truly are the pretty soldiers... the others should be call ditzy soldiers, in the English dub anyway. All in all, this is a great DVD and I highly recommend buying it if you haven't seen this season yet or even if you've only seen the badly editted TV versions.

Summary: Go Usagi-chan!
Review: This is a great DVD. ... Sailormoon was made for teenagers/mature kids in Japan, this quickly blossomed into a kid/teen-ager/adult show. You may compare it to adults liking the Rugrats , only with a much bigger impact.It's a timeless classic of romance and friendship, to be able to grow up under its' influence is an honor... It's terrible, North America targeted this show for LITTLE, and I mean LITTLE children.I believe Usagi/Serena's very first voice, was the closest North America has gotten to matching it to Usagi...her later voice *even though she went through MMMAAAANNNNYYY* was *I Believe* good, just not for Usagi...but all in all Usagi's North American voice ... This DVD is very crucial to the storyline, Please buy it to help the Sailormoon campaign throughout the world! Also, if the storylines were'nt rewritten so much with it's "cool" talk it might have been better. Ami NEVER says things like "COOL MOVE SAILOR MARS!" OMG she's WAY to proper as is Michiru.

Summary: The best part of Sailor Moon S begins!
Review: This is the fifth volume of the most popular arc in the Sailor Moon series.The fifth DVD volume finally gets to the beginning to the awesome Sailor Moon S series Sailor Saturn Arc. The three Sailor Soldiers (Venus, Uranus and Pluto) must destroy Hotaru (aka Sailor Saturn) before she awakens as the Messiah of Silence and brings armageddon to the planet. But an obstacle stands in there way and that's Sailor Moon and her fellow Sailor soldiers. Things will start to get serious from here on in and this is what made the Sailor Moon S series quite popular among fans. Anyway, don't expect great quality for anime since this is an anime TV series not a movie or OAV. It was really good during it's time years ago and the paintings are marvelous but it's not sharp because it's a TV series (lower budget than movies). So, this is the episode 90-127 storyline arc (episode 115-120). There are 37 episodes total for the series and a total of 6 episodes on this DVD. So, one more DVD left in the series! As for special features, well there are hardly any. A gallery with hardly anything and a profile of Sailor Mars. So, if you want to see the serious side of Sailor Moon, this DVD is where it all begins. Check it out!

Summary: Very Enjoyable Series But With Some Problems
Review: This is the third Sailor Moon series. It's about teenaged girls with magical powers who fight evil forces that threaten the world. In the S series, they fight humans who have been possessed by demons and forced to steal people's pure hearts in order to bring their master, Pharoah 90, into our universe. The Outer Senshi were introduced in this series: Uranus, Neptune, Saturn, and Pluto (though she had appeared in a few episodes of the R series). They're awesome. The original Japanese version is the best (more mature), but the English dub is also provided. Apparently, Cloverway had dubbed all of the dialogue, so you'll be able to hear English lines on here that you hadn't heard on Cartoon Network. Still, the English dub is censored and dumbed down. It's also incredibly inconsistent. Attack names (and even some transformation phrases) constantly change. Names of important objects in the series change also. Amara (Haruka) and Michelle (Michiru) are turned into "cousins", and that "fact" is constantly shoved down our throats. Still, listening to the English audio track while watching the uncensored video will provide some (unintended) laughs. I recommend watching an episode in Japanese with English subtitles first and then watching it in English. It's like getting two different series - 12-14 episodes per disc instead of 6-7. I do have some complaints. First, they used only the final version of the opening theme for all of the episodes. In the original, the new characters were added to the theme over the course of the series as they were introduced. On these DVDs, characters that haven't appeared in episodes yet are in the opening theme. That is not the way it originally aired, and it ruins the surprises. Also, on my computer monitor, there's a fuzzy line at the top of the screen during the opening theme in every episode. That means that the theme was spliced in. Were they too lazy to put the English credits over each version of the opening theme? Why did they have to put English credits there at all, anyway? They could have put them in the closing credits. I don't like the new English voice actors for Moon, Mercury, and Venus, but at least the original Mars is back! I also like Rini's new voice actor. I still think that Rini's an annoying character, though. The next episode previews were not included. The only extras are profiles on some of the Senshi/Scouts and some of the earlier opening themes from the S series. The DVD covers are reversible, so you can pick your favorite characters to be displayed. All in all, these 38 (or 76) episodes form a great story and are worth buying.

If you like Hotaru, or are a fan of the Outer Senshi, this is a good DVD to buy.

Summary: The story in depth
Review: This video has a great and particularly emotional trio of episodes. In the first one, Dr. Tomoe's slightly geeky assistent (her name's either Annete of Mennete) adds to many items in the Heartsnatchers oven and creates a warp in the house while Rini and Hotaru are inside playing cards, making a strange, funny, and confusing adventure for the Scouts when they come to the girls' rescue. The second episode, Rai, Michelle, and Trista keep having disturbing dreams of the end of the world and the Soverign of Silence, who may be Hotaru! Finally, the last episode is definately a tear jerker at the beginning for senseitive Moonies, dealing with Rini and Hotaru's relationship. The rest is the outer Scouts search for info on Hotaru and Dr. Tomoe's past. This original uncut version is really cool, with a beautiful ending theme at the end (sung in Japanese). The only bad thing about this video is you have to buy the one following it because the final episode just cuts you off! But all in all, this video is great. I definately recommend it!
