Summary: Philip Hopes For Success! Once More a Lengthy Review
Review: ...

Anyway, here's another great Sailor Moon S DVD from Pioneer ^^ Again it's great value for money with 6 uncut episodes in both subtitled and dubbed formats (i.e. the content of 4 VHS tapes), and there are some really good episodes (many of which actually advance the story) too. My favourite on this disc is the last one ("Invasion from an Alternate Dimension! The Mystery of Mugen Academy"), where in a very emotional scene we find out a bit about the past of Professor Tomoe and Hotaru, and also we get introduced to Telulu, Mimet's successor with funky green hair ^^

The DVD quality is roughly the same as always. We have great cover art on both the outside and the inside (although I like the outside cover better), pretty good video quality and, to be perfectly honest, horrible sound quality (not that any better was expected). The menus feature Sailor Mars and are great, as always. The extras are both quite boring this time: a Sailor Mars profile/art gallery, and the third opening (which was used for all the episodes in the American release) with Japanese credits. I was hoping for the end-of-episode previews, but no such luck :(

And finally we come to the quality of the dub. This disc has four good episodes, one that was done by the bad writer but has no real problems and one that was done by the bad writer but doesn't have as many problems as in some others (although enough was changed that the story of the dubbed episode makes no real sense). The acting (and also the mixing of the audio) seem to be improving - I enjoyed the dubs of these episodes more than the ones on the earlier discs. The original's still my preference though.

I'm sure what I'm about to say is no surprise: If you have all the discs so far (and like them to some extent), get this. The storyline is getting better and better, and with the Messiah of Silence on the verge of awakening and only one disc left to go, you don't want to stop now!

Summary: Nearing the Climax of Sailor Moon S ^_^!!
Review: As a fan of Sailor Moon, I can say that the S season is the best!! The episodes contained on this DVD should not be missed as more questions are posed about Hotaru Tomoe, Chibi-Usa's new friend. We learn even more about the plans of the Death Busters and of Professor Tomoe's past along with the discovery of a genius school!? The lovely Mimete does her best to perform her job of collecting pure hearts as new members of Witches 5 are introduced. There is still much hesitation between the Inner and Outer Senshi as they learn there is a...!! ^_~ Want to find out? Then you must get this DVD!! Darker tones and better animation set in as the S season nears the finale... If you are a fan of Sailor Moon then this is a must! If you were just browsing I recommend you try this DVD and the past Sailor Moon S DVD volumes. The quality of the DVD is wonderful. ^_^

Review: Chibi-Usa's new best friend, Hotaru, has another personality with awesome powers! Unfortunately, her father, Professor Tomoe, is also part of the Death-Busters who are attempting to destroy the world. As Hotaru's powers grow stronger, so do the suspicions of Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune and Sailor Pluto. Soon everyone suspects that Hotaru may not only be Sailor Saturn, but also the Sovereign of Silence - the nightmare that brings the world of darkness and destruction! The three Outer Solar System Sailor Soldiers are determined to prevent the darkness, but can they destroy a fellow Sailor Soldier?!

Summary: Sailor Moon S Series DVDs - Good Overall
Review: For those of you who don't know, Sailor Moon is an anime series about a group of girls with the ability to transform into warriors so that they can battle the forces of evil. It sounds like something that's been done to death, but this series pulls it off nicely. Each episode of the series contains a good deal of dramatic action, with some comedy thrown in to make the series a bit more appealing. Originally it was intended for pre-teenage girls in Japan, but it has drawn in fans from many age groups and nationalities. The series began airing in America as early as 1995, but the episodes were horribly edited, and the dialogue was butchered. The poor time slot didn't help things ever, and eventually it vanished without a trace, until it was picked up by the Cartoon Network, which aired several new episodes, but these suffered the same flaws as their early North American predecessors. But at long last, Pioneer has created the solution to the problem - DVDs of the series, in all their original uncut glory. And what better place to start releasing DVDs than the S Saga, which was by far the best set of episodes?

On this DVD you get 6 episodes, which you can view in English or Japanese (if you choose the latter, subtitles have been provided.) There are also some minor extras, such as a gallery with info on one of the Sailor Senshi/Scouts. In the episodes, they even left in the eyecatcher sequences! Unfortunately, these DVDs have some flaws. First and foremost, lack of extras. These character galleries are pretty cool, but I would've liked to see something like interviews with people who worked on the series. In addition, the next episode previews are not here (though oddly enough, the daily episode previews are.)

Overall this is an excellent DVD release for an excellent anime series. Contrary to popular belief, THIS DVD IS NOT OVERPRICED. It is slightly longer than most standard episode DVDs, so the slght price increase shouldn't be a problem. Fans of the original uncut Sailor Moon series, I strongly recommend you buy this item.

Summary: Annoyed anime fan
Review: I'm really annoyed by these reviewers saying. Sailor Moon is an adult cartoon. I find that laughable. This show is a toy commercial for all the 30 somethings that refuse to grow up.
I won't make fun of people for watching a kid's show. I just wisht they would admit it.

Summary: Tensions Build!
Review: In this volume, the Senshi discover that Hotaru is Sailor Saturn! It's an exciting volume, I bought it from Amazon.com about a year ago. The entire season of Sailor Moon S is awesome, it's my 2nd favorite Sailor Moon season. Mimet is also dead by the end of this volume, which may cause some of you to jump for joy. I, personally, love Mimet and hated to see her go. The volume kind of leaves you at a cliff-hanger, be sure the get Heart Collection VI!
