Summary: A must for Macross fans
Review: If you are getting this, chances are you are getting Vol01 and Vol02, -and you should. I am giving only 4 stars because, I didn't like the ending - it was a little too abrupt for my taste and was becoming a little "abtract" near the end. In general, I wish the 4 part series could have been a bit longer.The plot is similar to "Top Gun" and "Right Stuff" wherein two competing pilots are testing two new fighters. You will even see the old SDF1 ship, but don't expect to see that same number of huge ships numbering over 4Million. However, the animation was superb and fluid, it has CG incorporated in it, a lot of detail, sound/music was pretty good. Character development is alright. I definitely recommend this to Macross fans. Other anime fans may not find it as appealing. It's good, but I think the original Macross series was the best.

Summary: Anime Classic
Review: Excellent manga movie, one of my all time favorites. The plot was a little simple, but still interesting. The animation was superb and blended well with the soundtrack. You should also get the second vol. to complete this masterpiece. This is anime at its finest. I also recommend the soundtrack. Its a rich mix of techno, jazz, and japanese pop.

Summary: A MUST HAVE
Review: I have to tell you that I bought this title without knowing wirtually anything about it. All the past experiences I relied on were some distant childhood memories of some Robotech episodes I saw on Sky Channel. All in all this was one of the best anime buys of mine so far. The story is quite but not too complex, the characters are well worked out, but I advise you to use a good amplifier with huge speakers or a sophisticated dolby digital system, because the soundtrack is spectacular and is very important for the proper effect.

Summary: AWESOME Animé
Review: Consider my real rating to be 4 and a half stars since that isn't really a choice to enter. Don't even think about buying Part I without getting Part II. Animation: The mecha scenes are excellent. I only wish there was more of it. The animation is top-notch and the blend of traditional animation with computer-generated animation will easily remind you of "Ghost in the Shell" if you've seen that. Music: The music is also excellent, with styles that vary from haunting a capella to techno, but which fit perfectly into the particular scenes in which they appear. Story: The story is the only part that isn't so great. Don't get me wrong, it's a pretty good story. But it borrows waaaay too much from "Top Gun" and my friend and I had fun assigning "TG" character names to the Macross Plus characters. There's also some cliché plot devices you'll instantly recognize if you've seen much animé at all. But don't let what I've said put you off. The positives far outway the negatives here. Overall, this title is a must-have for any serious animé collector.

Review: I'm not one much for love triangles and dreamy pop stars but as far as anime cartoons go this one's "romantic" portion of the script is one of the least cheesily executed. As far as the animation is concerned it is some of the best I have seen to date with brilliantly shaded artwork. The flyingallover withsuddenstomachwrentchingturns whileavoidinghundredsofmissiles scenes are a must for avid robotech fans.

Summary: Greatest Macross series ever made
Review: Macross Plus was the first expensive animated movie done in anime ever done. Macross Plus takes place in the year 2040 on the planet Eden. There is a project called Super Nova and its testing two candidate fighters, the YF-19 and the YF-21 to see witch one is going to replace the aging VF-11 Thunderbolt. The story is about Isamu A. Dyson, Guld Bowman and Myung Lone. Once close friends ,now rivals this story consentrates on Isamus and Guld's angery on each other. This movie is a must buy for any MACROSS FAN. The music is great, the mechas are great and even the story, personally I think this is the best animated movie ever made

Summary: Amazing Anime
Review: This, IIRC, was one of the most expensive Anime ever done, and it shows. The animation itself is simply beautiful, I have yet to see anything anime that is done with such attention to detail, the music is great, it really sets the mood of the whole series(This review also applies to the next 2 parts :) I would recommend this to anyone wanting to get into anime/into anime, and make sure to show this to all my friends locally, I have yet to find someone that after watching this, didn't think it was simply amazing.

Summary: Fantastic anime with more to it than hollywood has to offer!
Review: Macross Plus is an outstanding piece of animation, with visuals that can rival the legendary Akira. But what makes this so special is the storyline that has you hooked on from the first episode to the last. A love triangle between three high school friends , Isamu , Gold , Mieux is the main plot line. They have all split up and are leading their own lives after an incident.....watch the film. Fate brings them all together in the same city where old memories start to come back and trouble has started to brew. You get so involved with the charcters that at times you forget that it is just an animation, that's how good this gets. Not to mention the music, which helps to move the story along,with a fantastic opening score that stays in your memories for months after watching the final part. Action, Romance , Adventure, this is the new way for animations a top notch movie in its own way.....

Review: Macross Plus has stunning graphics, great music, and intriguing storyline. This movie differs itself from the other Macross's and is truly one of my favorites. A definite buy.
