Description:
As this charming fantasy-adventure concludes, Sakura uses the Return Card to visit the great sorcerer Clow Reed in the past. In his oblique way, Reed explains that he created Cards, Kero, and Yue, and planned for Sakura to become their master to ensure their happiness after his death. Before she can fulfill that role, Sakura must defeat Eriol in a test that demands all her resources--and the help of Kero, Yue, and Shaoran Li. Even Reed couldn't foresee the entire future: he expected Sakura and Yue/Yuki would fall in love with each other, rather than Shaoran Li and Toya. Although Sakura's feelings for Shaoran aren't resolved until the second feature, everything ends happily. Given the runaway popularity of the series, arguably the best work the Clamp Studio has produced, additional adventures for Sakura and her friends may be in the works.
