Summary: A sleeper hit
Review: This is a realy good anime, and one of my all time favorites. It has a fairly good plot, good voice acting, and animation. Unfortunatly few people I have talked to have ever herd of this anime. Its a real shame too, every one i have lent this to has told me thay thought it was a realy good movie. The story is as fallows; Iria, a young bounty hunter, and her brother are sent to a space station after it is atacked by an unknown force. is is soon discoverd that the thing behind the atack is a legondary monster known as Zeram. Zeram is a monster with super humand streangth and has the ability to obsorb any person it comes in contact with and aquier there knoledg and skills. Iria and her brother are sucsessful in rescuing all the servivers of the space station but end up destroing the station in an atempt to kill Zarem. The explotion seperates Iria from here brother and sends here ship off to a resort planet far from here home. Well i don't want to give the reastof the story away so you'll just have to get if and see for your self. If you can find a copy that is, i had to search far and wide to get my copy.

Summary: The Best
Review: Ok this movie got me from the get go. I was just going to watch a couple of the episodes before i went to bed. After the first one i was hooked and i stayed up the whole night watching it. Iria Was full of action and kept me on the edge of my seat. Its a must own for anime fans and even if your not you will still love this movie. Good for anyone who likes a well done movie. The animation is very well done, and the story line will keep you interested throughout the whole movie. This is one of my favorite anime's .... well maybe ghost in the shell or ninja scrolls but its up there with them. Also with 6 episodes you cant go wrong
Only bad thing about the movies is the ending. The ending seemed to lack. It was cut off and left several ideas in your head. But thats just a minor detail for such a wonderful movie.

Summary: Simply the Best
Review: This is one of the best Anime's that I have watched since the Neon Genesis Evangelion series, the story is well plotted and the characters Iria and Kei are te best by far. I saw this Anime in japanese w/english subs and it is one of the best Anime's that I bought and it is well worth my money and time.

Summary: One of my favs.
Review: Iria is one of my fav. anime. Good story, good chars, nothing I can really complain about. But whatever you do, DO NOT listen to the english soundtrack. Turn on the japanese with subtitles. I have not heard a worse or more forced sounding dialog in any anime. Definitly worth the purchase, but *DO NOT* listen to it in english!

Summary: My first Anime
Review: I orignally watch Iria on HBO about three years before it was released in the US. I love it. The movie follows Iria, a young female bounty hunter. It is set in a far away galaxy. The problem is this un-killable monster from outer space comes "Zeiram". To make a long story short it becomes a fight between Iria and Zeiram, with some strange things a long the way.
I gave this a 4 star rating because, the movie feels too long, over 2 and half hour.

Summary: overated, unengaging story
Review: I'm really surprised at the high reviews. On the positive side, IRIA has some interesting character design and atypical elements of science fantasy. Plus the DVD is about 180 minutes long. On the negative, IRIA is unengaging and more action than story or character based. I found myself bored, and quickly not caring what was going on. There's nothing particularly special about the animation, though it does feature some nicer background paintings. Hold frames of IRIA are drawn better than most. IRIA pales in comparison to GHOST IN THE SHELL, ARMITAGE III, NINJA SCROLL, GIANT ROBO, and even THE BIG O, in my opinion. A rental, at best.

Summary: You must not miss out on this
Review: Iria Zeiram...I first heard of it when I was watching Grappler Baki and I saw a little preview for it during the Manga Video promotional music video. It just looked mediocre. I didnt care, it didnt really catch my attention that much. Then I saw it was on the lineup for an upcomming Sci Fi Saturday Anime (god I miss those...) and being as supportive as I am to anime on TV, I watched it and I was hooked. I had to see it all. I couldn't wait until next week when they aired part two. My friend later on picked up all three VHS volumes and lent them to me. I finally saw them all unedited together and I must say, it's really impressive. Besides the gratuitous action and the sexy female main character, Iria Zeiram takes a simplistic plot and milks it for everything it is worth and then some. The characters are all well developed, the story continuity has good flow, the mechanical concepts are just plain wicked, the soundtrack is out of this world and the animation quality is top notch. It's the definition of a perfect anime. A few weeks later I purchased the DVD and I was ecstatic. One of my single most favorite anime series all on one DVD for the price of a single VHS volume. I have to tell you, it was one really awesome deal and you shouldnt miss out on it. Fans of Final Fantasy will especially like it because of it's setting and it's blend of technology and a fantasy world. If you havent seen Iria and can afford this DVD, dont think twice about purchasing it because it's truely worth it, especially since this DVD is such a great deal and the picture and sound quality are excellent.

Review: I enjoyed watching this anime. But I think it is a little expensive. You do get 6 episodes which is always a great thing and adds to the value. The animation itself is not too bad. It is not great but it certainly isn't trash. The technology in the show is pretty interesting as are some of the concepts. Unfortunatly the characters are a little weak as is the plot. It has it's moments of brilliance. But not enough of them. There are no extras on the DVD and the sound is ok and does not use the DVD's potential. Overall I thought it could have been alot better. It had the potential to be. Worth a rent to see if you like it before buying.

Summary: Iria: Zeiram the Animation
Review: Iria: Zeiram the Animation is a must have! I first saw this on the sci-fi channel years ago (you know when they had anime on Saturday at 1:59). I'm just starting my anime collection but can already tell Iria is one of the best. If you've never bought an anime vidio GET THIS ONE it ROCKS! The animation is not the most beautiful you will ever see but the story and characters will consume you within the first minutes of the movie. MUST HAVE

Review: Iria is one hot anime that I reconmend for ALL! Trust me, it is that hot! I really enjoyed it and I think you will too. I was into the story from the start and I was never bored throughout the whole film. Pick this one up and add it to you anime collection today!
