Summary: Unstoppable Evil
Review: If you are dying to see what Trunks went through before he went back in time then this DVD is for you. From how Gohan died to how Trunks became a Super Saiyan, this movie explains it all. The music, fights, and animation are all great. With all this said, I would suggest buying this DVD immediately.

Summary: Very emotional and dramatic of all DBZ movies...
Review: I enoyed watching this dbz feature. It expleains how the future of dbz would be like if Son-Gokou dies and the rest of the z warriors as well. So it is up to Trunks and Gohan to stop the androids because they are the only z warriors alive. And if you are a mirai-trunks fan, you should enyoy this video because it shows his past and his first super saiyayin transformation.

Summary: History Of Trunks
Review: The History Of Trunks(AKA the Trunks Special) is one of the two Dragonball Z TV specials. It originally aired on Japanese TV in 1993 as a prequel to the Android/Cell Saga (it occurs in the alternate timeline Future Trunks comes from.) Read on for more information.

BEFORE YOU START WATCHING THIS MOVIE, YOU MUST REMEMBER THAT THE EVENTS OCCUR IN AN ALTERNATE TIMELINE. Frieza and King Cold have been successfully killed by Goku, but two and a half years later, the unthinkable happens - Goku has a heart attack and dies. Six months later, Androids 17 and 18 awaken and create havoc across the world. Piccolo, Tien, Chiaotzu, Yajirobe, Yamcha, and Vegeta are all killed in action. With Piccolo dead, Kami also dies, so the Dragonballs are no more and no one can be wished back to life. Thirteen years pass. By now the Androids have killed half the world's population. But not all is lost. Gohan is now a man, and constantly does battle with the Androids, trying to put an end to their reign of terror. Trunks meets Gohan and asks him to train him. Gohan reluctantly accepts. I don't want to spoil any surprises, so I'll stop my summary here.

The DVD itself is - you guessed it - subpar. The menus are animated though, so there's somewhat of a plus. Of course, we get no extras other than trailers and that little World Of Dragonball Z short we get on EVERY DBZ DVD. Why no interviews with cast or crew or anything like that? The English dub version present here is, surprisingly, not that bad. There's a problem though - MANY POPULAR AMERICAN BANDS DO THE MUSIC! This may sound cool to the casual westerner, but this kind of music doesn't belong in a Japanese anime. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR. WATCH THE SUB, which is virtually flawless.

Despite my complaints above, this is an EXCELLENT movie. IF YOU ONLY BUY ONE DRAGONBALL Z MOVIE, I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU MAKE IT THIS ONE.

Summary: An Era of Darkness
Review: Goku, the Earth's mighty hero, dies of a heart diease and things get to bad to worse pretty fast. The only Z fighters left are Gohan, son of Goku, and Trunks, son of Vegeta. Gohan fights the androids with Trunks help. In the middle of the TV Special, Gohan dies and Trunks goes Super Saiyan. However, being a Super Saiyan doesn't help Trunks defear the two demented androids bent on world destruction. Bulma (Trunks's Mom) invents a time machine in hopes to prevent the death of Goku. Trunks goes to the past and makes short work of Freiza and his father King Cold.

Summary: And When u thought DBZ just couldnt get any better
Review: Ok, I know Trunks is cool, but this movie just seals the deal. It tells the story of trunks in the future after goku dies from a heart disease. I know u might not think it would make much of a difference right, cause i mean, hey, Goku dies all the time right? Wrong. It makes a big difference this time. One that means the death of ALL of the Mighty Z Fighters. All except one Trunks and Gohan who is now an adult.
The problem is the androids. not only are they strong as hell, but they double-teem everyone they fight, cause theyre bastards. In theyre initial conflict with Gohan and Trunks, the latter manage to escape, but not before Gohan looses an arm (which will bring about his downfall in a later battle). This movie is just to good to tell the whole thing. But u have got to check it out for urself. Trust me, u dont wanna miss it.

Summary: Dragon Ball Z - The History of Trunks (UNCUT) DVD
Review: P>My Personal Thoughts:

I think that this movie goes to fast. I mean, they barely even mourn over Goku's death, the battle between the Z warriors lasts two seconds (if you want a more detailed account of that battle, I would recommend buying the tape with the episode where Trunks goes "Ultra-Super-Saiyan," while battling with (perfect) Cell. Trunks is physically stronger than Cell, but is too slow, and has no chance of winning. In the episode where he is powering up to become an "Ultra-Super-Saiyan" (Ghosts from Tomorrow), Trunks gives a detiled account of the battle), and they also barely mourn over Gohan's death. I mean, its only 48 minutes. But, besides that, it is an awesome movie. It has excellent fight scenes. The picture and sound quality are awesome, considering how old it is. All in all, this is an excellent "movie," it is a definitive to any DB/Z/GT collection. As "companion" videos, I recommend buying (besides the one I mentioned up there): the 2 tapes in which Trunks first appears (because if you watch this, then those tapes, in goes in perfect order, because it ends where Trunks just goes back in time), the tape I mentioned above, and, when it is released, the tape that has the episode where Trunks goes back to his own time, after Cell is defeated, and finally kills the androids (because, I mean without it, you'll never know whether or not the Androids in Trunks time are defeated; it's like having the Cell saga, except for the episode where he is defeated).

Summary: Battles, Trunks, blood, Trunks, surprises, and.....Trunks^.^
Review: This is my total fave DBZ vid. But buy it on DVD, plays English and the orginal version. Really tight, and not only that, but the battles are sweet and music is really awsome, although sometimes doesn't fit some of the scenes... Oh well. It totally makes up for it in action. The character animation is really good. And the androids are really tight villans! If you consider yourself a Mirai Trunks fan then you'll love is vid, even if ya don't like Trunks then well... I think you'll still like this vid... but anyways... ok I better stop now or I'll start blabbing the whole vid, Buy this it's worth it:)

Summary: Must have for any trunks fan
Review: Seeing both the VHS and DVD version of this, I have to say the DVD version is much better. For any fan of trunks, I strongly recommend getting this. The DVD has both the English and Japanese voices, as well as subtitles in both languages. The emotions come across better with while watching the japanese version. It tells the story of Trunks from shortly after the Androids arrival until his journey into the past.
