Summary: Still Going Strong
Review: The Resfest series continues to reward those looking for more substantive short films. "Birdbeat" is a sharp bit of Photoshop-chopped jazz. "The Subconscious Art of Graffiti Removal" is both wry and sly -- a bit of commentary about the repression of expression becoming a form of expression itself. While not earth-shaking, "The Littlest Robo" nicely blends the aesthetic of 2D animation with the depth of CGI. Once again, Resfest has offered us a glimpse into the future or digital cinema. I look forward to more.
