Summary: Not B movie like first but still same.
Review: This is unlike the the first movie Friday which was a B movie but not in many way's like it's just as funny but is made better.
This movie is about Craig (Ice Cube) moving in with his cousin Dey-dey (Mike Epps) because he finds out that the crook he beat up in the first one Named Debo is panning to escape from prison but also get's into trouble there also.First his cousin and friend Roach get fired and find out Dey-dey's father is in a lot of debt and about to lose their house so Craig, Dey-dey and Roach must try to steal the money from the neighborhood gang the Esa brothers while Craig is falling in love their sister. They also get into trouble with Debo on the way.

Summary: Not as funny as the original
Review: I loved the original. After watching the original about 10 times, I decided to go out and buy the sequel on DVD. Like many sequels, it was not as funny as the original. The original's charm laid in its simplicity. Unfortunately, the success of the original allowed the makers of Friday to have a much bigger budget for the sequel, and this hurt the movie in many regards.

Also, while Mike Epps is a funny man, this film severely misses Chris Tucker. It's hard not to think of Epps as a replacement to Tucker, and he doesn't live up to the standard Chris set in the original.

It's a good movie, but don't go into it thinking it will be as funny as the first one.

Summary: Great Movie
Review: In the first Friday Movie, they basically sat around on the porch for more than half the movie, but this movie is hilarious. I'm not the kind who offers a plot synopsis, but I'll say this. Just seeing the dog, "Chico"'s role was hilarious and his owners. It's a great improvement since the original

Summary: SOOOOO FUNNY!!
Review: I'm probably one of the 3 lone people on the planet who thought that "Friday" had no funny parts whatsoever. It was tasteless and bland. "Next Friday," however, was cry-out-loud funny. From Day-Day's "glitter" scene, to Craig and Pinky in the record store, this movie was HILLARIOUS. It's got those great lines that you have to just quote "...but as soon as I got my check I WAS GONE!!!" and sing..."Yeah, yeah, put some...hot sauce on my burrito ba-bay..." over and over again. Honestly, I laughed at that obnoxious African dude in Pinky's store more times than I care to share with the viewers in Amazon-land. And then there's the mace...on and on and on this movie delivered. "Sugar" and "Uncle Elroy" had better chemistry and were MUCH funnier than Craig's mom and dad in the first, and although Deebo is not as funny as he was in the first movie the other characters more than make up for it. This movie was silly and funny and obnoxious, and something that I can watch over and over and over again...unlike the first "Friday" (Smokey going to the bathroom outside was FUNNY? Big Worm ripping off little kids was FUNNY? Craig in the bathroom when his father was on the toilet was FUNNY? I think not!) "Next Friday" delivers more. I wasn't dissappointed AT ALL.

Summary: Great Sequel
Review: Ice Cube stars in the hilarious sequel to "Friday". Though the hilarious Smokey has been sent to rehab the movie is still all good. Craig Jones (Ice Cube) moves to the suburbs to live with his sex-crazed Uncle Elroy (John Patterson), his nyphomaniac Aunt Sugar, and his cousin Day-Day (Mike Epps). When Uncle Elroy recieves a message saying that they have to make payments on the house they own or it will be auctioned away. Craig and Co. face off against the neighborhood Latino gang, the bully Debo, and Day-Day's ex and her fat sister. In the end the gang and Debo get busted while Craig and Co. get the money from a hydrolic pump in the gang's house.

You should definately buy this hilarious epic and the soundtrack. Also the interactive mode and music videos are hot too.

Summary: should have been the third film
Review: I enjoyed Ice Cube in this movie, but I think Day-day and uncle Elroy could have been funnier, Debo was the best part along with the new character sticky fingaz but wtf happened to Debo?

Summary: Next Friday
Review: I have to admit, when I first heard about this one and people told me that Chris Tucker wasn't going to be in, I thought right off the bat that this was going to be another terrible sequel. After I saw it, I gotta say I was wrong because NEXT FRIDAY was really funny and all out a great sequel to it's original FRIDAY.

In this one, Craig (Ice Cube) is going to his Uncle Elroy's for a little while. After a few days of hanging out and doing whatever with his cousin Dae Dae (Mike Epps), Craig signs for a special delivery and the letter states that his Uncle Elroy owes a lot of money because of a delinquent property tax payment and now his Uncle will lose his house if they can't get the money. So now Craig and Dae Dae have to fund the money so they don't lose the house, dodge their next door neighbors the Joker brothers that want to take it to them, Dae Dae has to dodge his ex-girlfriend and her destructive sister and the word is out that Debo has broken out of prison and he's looking for Craig. It's another great, kick back and laugh out loud comedy.

Like I said before, just because Chris Tucker isn't in this one doesn't mean that it's bad. I thought it was pretty funny and Epps really doesn't replace Tucker. In my opinion, Epps just adds a new character to the mix and Cube and Epps are funny as hell together. Plus this one has a lot more laughs. Granted yes, most of the comedy circles around the pot smoking but the parts that don't are really funny.

Just remember, if you want to check out NEXT FRIDAY you have to check out FRIDAY first or you'll miss some jokes and there will be holes in the plot as well. Check out these 2 great titles and when it comes to DVD and Video check out FRIDAY AFTER NEXT.

Summary: The Movie to See Over and Again!
Review: This was the funniest movie have ever seen. Although most people say without Chris Tucker (Smokey) it would not be funny, but Day-Day in the movie makes up for all of what Smokey would of brought to it .Ice Cube (craig) and Day-Day will make you laugh for more throught out the movie and are some funny guys that know how to have a good time. Roach was a great also a great addition and just made the movie all better. I will admit that the story line wasn't good as the first one, but the comedy and laughter totally made up for it. It was hilarious and I think everyone should watch this movie if they had onlyone movie to ever watch. If you have a good sense of humor this movie will make laugh throught out the whole movie. Even if you don't like comedies you must watch this one. I had to watch this movie over and over again it made me laugh so much. I must buy this movie and so should everybody else. If they do make another another Friday movie I think Chris Tucker will have to be in the last one to finish off the series

Summary: Lets Be Honest,The First One Was Way Better
Review: "Next Friday" had alot of jokes in it however not all of them hit the mark and unlike "Friday" the jokes are mostly slapstick comedy then they are crude. But at least the movie gives a back story to the departure of Smokey who was played by Chris Tucker.
But the movie is about Craig who is forced to move to his Uncle Elroy's and cousin Day-Days house due to the fact that the bully from the first movie Deebo (Tommy "Tiny" Lister Jr) who just busted out of jail to seek his revenge against Craig.During the time Craig spends at the house he gets into all sorts of trouble including beating up Day-Days boss Pinky at "Pinky's Record Store" and falling in love with a mexican girl across the street.
But after Day-Day and Uncle Elroy find out they could lose the house unless they come up with thirty five thousand dollars in one day.The other thing is this whole movie takes place in one day obviously Friday. Most of the stuff that happens in this movie would take a lot longer than that,a lot longer. But if you
liked "Friday" you should check this one out.C+
