Summary: Review of Armitage III Poly-Matrix
Review: I just finished watching Armitage III - Poly Matrix and wanted to express my opinions of it.Music: The first thing I noticed was the quality of the musical score. It well matched the movie's theme and served as a vehicle to move the plot along. It had a really good beat to it that stays in your mind well after the movie is over. Animation: The animation was pretty good in that there were good colors and details. Also, the number of frames was very high, thus helping the animation to flow smoothly from frame to frame. Charactors: I thought Ross's character was very weak. I never got the sense of what his drive or ambitions were until late in the movie. Armitage was much better defined but I'm asking myself why is she walking around wearing only underwear? Its visually appealing, but very unrealistic. Plot: Good idea basing it in the future and on Mars. Science and technology will push us to that time and place eventually unlike some other anime's that are just too far fetched to be believable. Dubing: Keifer Sutherland made Ross seem unemotional and flat. I got the feeling that Sutherland was simply reading from a script and this served to make Ross uninteresting. Elizabeth Berkley did a fine job as Armitage although I'm sure any actress would have done the same. The important part though, is the projection of emotion and drive in the character's voice. Misc: I know the movie is based on the 4 OVA's which I have not seen. The 4 OVA's together run for 120 minutes whereas Poly-Matrix runs for 90. The missing 30 minutes serves to make the story jump around alot. There were times I was puzzled as to how Armitage or Ross got to where they were and what their motivation was. Overall, I think it's a good movie worth watching. I would like to see the OVA's though since they would provide more details and story plot.

Review: I really don't understand how this movie could gather so many positive reviews. The movie has story-potential but gives it all away by telling it in an extremely boring and sometimes a bit confused way. Next point would be the animation itself. Absolutely nothing special, but that's alright. The characters: I never found a protagonist in a movie as unpleasant as Armitage. She's just annoying. The dubbing wasn't helpful at that point. Oh and by the way: The dialogs are REALLY BAD, especially in this 'love scene' when I didn't know if I should laugh or throw over. The only cool thing about it was the city most of the story took place in. Very cool.

Summary: All around excellent anime!
Review: The first time I had seen this movie I enjoyed it. But it wasn't until I'd seen it for the second time that it struck me what a wonderful movie Armitage 3 is. The animation is superb. Berkley and Sutherland were absolutely perfect for the voices. the plost comes across confusing at first, but it all comes together quite nicely by the end.The characters are well written and you find yourself empathising with the heroes, so that by the end you are right in the movie. Great for a first time anime expierience. (The soundtrack to this film is something I'd love to get my hands on. It pumps the movie along quite nicely. You'll sit down and watch the credits just to listen to the ending theme!)

Summary: Armitage, the Movie that keeps on giving.
Review: Great Movie! In fact, one of My favorites. Great animation with a music score that fits the mood Extremly well. It's something new to movies in plot and story line. anybody besides Elizabeth Berkley playing the voice of Naomi Armitage the characters emotions would be lost. To put it simply, a Masterpiece. I would advise getting a copy of the soundtrack too!

Summary: Don't mess with Android Cops
Review: This is a pretty good movie. I rated it at four because the storyline, although very well done, was bit draggy and it gets a little confusing when the characters are trying to reveal the true villian in all of the craze. Just to those who may be new to anime the III part of the title does not mean that it is a third movie to a series or anything it applies to the character which you'll discover when you watch this movie. I'll only say this for newcomers to anime because this was the mistake I made about the title. Dumb right. Anyways if you like deep story line animes with lowlevel commentations toward sex and medium, style violence you'll enjoy this movie as well.

Summary: not 'alf bad
Review: Hmmmm. Gee I do love cyborgs with super humman powers. One thing I dont like bout this movie though is detective Ross sounds like he's got a sinus problem or somthin i just dont like his voice at all and his high collered jacket didn't win any points with me. Cookie points for Naomi's vizor though, i want one o' those, and extra cookie points for the picture breifly flashed across the screen of that over sized over muscled horse (and i know i saw it its in there somewhere), goddam i wish my horse was dat big. And Pluto was pretty cool though he had me fooled for a minute i woulda sworn he was a gal. The film leaves some things out, though the stroy is pretty interesting and the animation's good lots of run ins with the usual mecha, big guns, and greedy politition types.

Review: Armitage is an old anime but I like him. It is a pity that the DVD version is at least cutted by 30 to 40 min. So I have to advice to by the VHS version

Summary: I Rather the OAV Series
Review: Don't get me wrong, Armitage 3-Poly Matrix is one of the better anime's out there. Plot is interesting, the characters are likeable, music is great and the animation is okay. Even the dubbing is good. However the ending to the OAV series is far surperior to Poly Matrix's ending.
