Summary: Unquestionably one of the best movies ever made!!!
Review: It's extremely rare to find a movie that has both revolutionary special effects and a mind-boggling plot. However, I have found that movie and it is called the Matrix. The special effects are incredible! They went as far as to have a company in California develope a special effect called "Bullet Time Technology"! It gives the appearance that the actors are actually faster than bullets. The plot is riveting! Their are hidden themes and symbols deeply integrated within the movie. The movie would still be spectacular without the special effects! The plot is that good. Lastly I appload the movie for the fact that they actually trained the actors in a martial art for six months prior to filming the movie. The actors actually did a large amount of their own stunts adding the realism of the movie. This movie will blow you away and provide a mouth-watering feast for the senses! It's definetely one that you could watch repeatedly!

Summary: Great, fellow sci-fi fans --- but DO pay attention!
Review: Sci-fi fans will appreciate (and likely recognize) the basic plot and subplots of this film. It's clearly destined to become a sci-fi (cult?) classic. 'Compelling story and great effects. But don't look away for a moment! Even when you stay glued to the screen, you're likely to suffer lingering questions. Quite a few threads remain unravelled. As much as I enjoyed Matrix, I believe they've left lots of room for a sequel which could lead us to richer fields of thought than the first "episode" did! Gutsy production -- go for it.

Summary: This sets the new sci-fi standard
Review: The Matrix extends the theme used in Terminator, where the machines have taken over the world, however with a twist. We now live as human batteries to feed the machine... life as we know it is a mere virtual reality game.

A lot of work went into this movie from both special effects, which are stunning, to the conditioning of the actors.

The only thing I fear is a Matrix 2... not that that would be bad... but hollywood has a habit of messing up the sequels... A must see at least 5 times.

Summary: Many ways to view it, millions of ways to interpret it!
Review: This is one of the few movies I have ever seen, Where both the symbolism and the meanings behind them were different each of the 4 times I saw this movie. Never have I EVER been so energized about life after watching this movie. Think of Neo as FDR. Think of Neo as Patton or Rommel. Think of Neo as Jesus Christ. Every time a different story behind it. But the moral remains clear: Always go through life with a second glance at things. Always think about things at least two different ways before you appreciate them. Remember Patch Adams? There's eight fingers, not four.

To sum up the movie, let me just use a quote: "There is no spoon."

Summary: Nothing can top this movie
Review: The problem with most movies lately, particularly those that fall into the action genre, is that no matter how much good story telling there is, they just don't make you think. The Matrix contains post apocalyptic philosiphies and theories that do just that. The complete shock of this movie is that it could happen, it could be true; and there are certain paradoxes to point to this, the famous Zeno's Paradox is one of them. Also something that we rarly see in action films of todays generation is strong acting, something that The Matrix is full of. Reeves drops the "California surfer dude" act and is just plain great. Fishburn is at his best as Neo's teacher, providing insight into his life, and ours. The thing I must applaud the Wachowski Brothers with the most however, is that the special effects (which are out of this world) do not drown out the plot or actors, as is the case with every other special FX flick of the last few years.

This movie comes with the highest recommendation possible. It gets five stars because I couldn't give it six.

Summary: Esoteric & Philosophical Masterpiece based on Plato
Review: This movie is based on Plato's Cave Allegory. If you are unfamiliar with the concept, READ IT. I have seen it 6 times in the theatre and ordered it on DVD. It now holds the top 3 places in my all time favorites.

See it and judge for yourself. If you get it, you WILL love it, if you dont, I am sorry.
