Summary: Fast Action & Sly Humor
Review: Red Heat isn't the first movie of it's kind, but it's one of the best. Arnold is sent to the USA to track down one of Russia's most brutal murderers, and is teamed up with James Belushi a smart alect cop. Both are caught soon in a large drug scandal, and set out to bring an end to it themselves. Smooth action and smart humor make Red Heat a real knock-out.

Review: Schwarzenegger and James Belushi make a great team in this crazed action film. Schwarzenegger plays the serious Captain Ivan Danko, a Russian detective. Opposite him, James Belushi, is the comical cop, Art Ridzik, always good for a laugh. Who could guess what would happen when these two got stuck together?On the downside of the film the beggining is all Russian. You'll be forced to read English subtitles not able to enjoy any of the visuals, until around ten to twenty minutes into the film. Unless of course you speak Russian. The final word. If you're looking for something to do on a boring afternoon, I recommend sitting back and enjoying Red Heat.

Summary: Another "odd couple "cop movie done with some aplomb
Review: There is nothing very new here,and indeed,it can be taken as a reprise of director Walter Hill's earlier and similarly themed movie "48 Hours"
Arnie plays a Soviet policeman sent to Chicago to bring back the Soviet Union's premiere drug dealer.He is "assisted",if that is indeed the appropriate word ,by a slobbish Chicago cop,played by James Belushi.Naturally it is not a routine assignment and much mayhem ensues before the predictable ending/The scenes in Russia are well staged and there is a chase sequence in Chicago,between two buses that makes a change from the more predictable cars.
Schwartzenneger is an under-appreciated comedic talent and his grim monosyllabic characterization is offset by Belushi's more fluid,and seemingly improvised style
The Soviets,or at least the Russians ,come out of this in a positive light (the villain is ,Arnie is at pains to point out a Georgian---interestingly so was the villified Stalin)I wonder if this is significant in securing Soviet co-operation in location shooting in Moscow. There are some nice one-liners and the whole thing is diverting enough brain candy propelled along with the director's customary assured professionalism

Review: This is a pretty decent Schwarzenegger flick, but I was a tad underwhelmed by the whole thing. Arnold plays a detective from Russia on the hunt for an old foe, Viktor, who has escaped to the Windy City. Schwarzenegger then travels there and teams up with a wise-cracking cop played by Jim Belushi to hunt down Viktor. Obviously this is the same theme that runs through EVERY buddy-action movie, but that's not the problem. I actually wished there were more so-called buddy moments in the movie to make it more amusing. This movie is ok, and it's definitely NOT bad. If you're looking for more of an all-out action movie, give it a shot. If you're looking for pure Arnold '80s cheese, go for 'Commando', or 'The Running Man' instead. Either way, this one's only worth a late night rental.

Review: When Viktor (Ed O'Ross), a narcotics kingpin from the USSR, escapes from prison and heads for Chicago, Russia's brawniest, most fearless and most disciplined police detective (Arnold Schwarzenegger) follows Viktor to the Windy City and teams up with a loud-mouthed American cop (James Belushi). Together, the mismatched, culture-clashing, rule-breaking duo must overcome their differences and attempt to track down the nefarious Viktor.

Summary: Arnie buddy cop comedy that has its' moments
Review: With the success that Walter Hill scored with 48 Hours, he returned to the buddy cop formula with Red Heat. Teaming a Russian cop (Arnold Schwarzenegger, dead pan) with a Chicago detective (James Belushi) to track down a killer, the film shines with the interaction between good 'ol Ah-nold and Belushi, even as it gets more and more predictable and ridiculous as the film goes on. Still though, Red Heat is fun if you don't mind the cliches, and for Arnie fans it's worth seeing to see just how dead pan Arnie nails down his role as the humorless Russian cop. The rest of the cast also includes Peter Boyle, a young Laurence Fishburne, and Gina Gershon. This re-released Special Edition from Lion's Gate has a few solid features, but if you already own the previous edition don't feel the need to upgrade.

Review: Yes ! Mister ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER in this splendid movie still play admirably, wonderfully a secret agent of K.G.B in the old-established which was the U.R.S.S. MOTHERLAND ! And who's the antagonistic AGENT U.S.? Surely one of the best actors U.S. in his generation ! Best as much as SCHWARZIE which his not other which MISTER JAMES BELUSHI ! Nobody could be interppret so much than him this splendid role who's consist to frustrate and to be an anti-establishment agent ! I've seen this movie iwith VHS system, and i've bought this DVD for admire the DVD QUALITY !
