Review: The story & characters were not compelling or believable in the least. The dialogue & scene shifts were awkward and confusing. It was a Herculean effort for me to stay awake through this movie. In fact, the two other people who watched this with me fell asleep within the first 15 minutes!

Summary: This is one of the highest quality DVDs I've seen.
Review: The great things about this movie are: 1) This is the best adaptation of an Elmore Leonard story to date. If you liked Get Shorty and Jackie Brown, this is even better. 2)A superb cast, well acted at all levels. Not only are all the lead actors great, there are some lovely comic performances from many of the minor characters. 3)It has great art direction and cinematography; the look and feel of the prison scenes, Miami, and Detroit in winter is sumptuous. 4)The soundtrack is super. All this, plus it's a fun movie to watch. Furthermore, it's obvious that a lot of care was taken in transfering the movie onto the DVD format.

Summary: One of the best DVDs I have ever seen.
Review: The collectors edition of Out of Sight is possibly the best DVD I have ever seen. The movie itself is one of, if not the best of 1998. The picture and sound quality on this disc are also superb. But the real charm of this DVD lies in its bounty of special features. I'm a sucker for deleted scenes and this disc has some great ones. The director's commentary is also quite entertaining. To put it quite siimply this DVD has it all and is one any movie buff should at to their collection. Keith Blankenship

Summary: An outstanding film with a light touch and great performance
Review: This movie was lost in the shuffle of the summer blockbusters but deserves a second, and third and fourth, look on video. It is a great movie full of rich characterization and nice action sequences. The way the movie shows you less than the whole story right away is great. It doesn't follow a 1-2-3 pattern, instead showing you 3, then 1, then 2. It is hard to follow sometimes but when you get it, it is so worth the effort. Do not pass up a chance to see this movie!

Review: I have seen 'Out Of Sight'at least 3 times and I enjoyed a lot every time.It's a great,unique film first of all because of it's characters.But thanks to Steven Soderberg the dialogue,the music,and the places are also memorable and special.I was obsessed by George Clooney.Playing Jack,he showed another side of his attraction,a most enchanting and passionate one.I bet that those who're fans of George will adore him more after this movie.Also,the love scene in the bar was almost the most beautiful one I've seen this far.Unforgetable and impressive!

Review: It's not as good as Jackie Brown or Get Shorty. It's a lot better. There aren't any self-referential in-jokes or anything like that, just strong storytelling and great acting. The script is awesome.

Review: All I have to say is this... While 'Saving private Ryan" might be the most important film of 1998,"Out of Sight" is by far the most entertaining. loaded with funny characters, plot twists and well placed flash backs, it provides one of the best cinema experiences from a modern novel. "Jackie Brown" was good. "Get Shorty" was great. "Out of Sight" is excellent and it had better recive the respect it deserves as not a movie but a film. The DVD is loaded with extras as well. Be on the look out for a hidden trailer on the disc called 'The Underneath", a film by "Out of Sight's" Director. Enjoy
