Summary: Doesn't hold a candle up to JP or the book
Review: This movie was OK when I first saw it. I loved Jurassic Park, so I did like this movie somewhat. Jeff Goldblum returns and - I think - did a great job as Ian Malcom. The other characters weren't as good.

Then I read the book and saw what a bad movie this actually is. If they would have stuck to the book it would be a million times better. Nice try... seen better.

Summary: "Godzilla" without the sense of humor.
Review: You saw all the good stuff in the original. Special effects and preachy environmentalism don't make up for a paper-thin plot and cardboard-cutout heroes and villains.

Summary: TOTAL FLOP !
Review: It's almost unbeliavable that, with Spielberg at the helm of this production, this movie is so bad, heartless, mercenary, I would say, one of the wors sequences ever done (rivalling, perhaps, with Speed 2. IT's a total flop.

Summary: Jurassic Park was a lot better
Review: What was the deal with bringing the Tyranosaurus to San Diego? That was not in the book, which, might I add, wasn't very good, because Michael Crichton pumped it out really fast so it could be rushed into a movie. Jurassic park was original, this one was old, just like Austin Powers one and two.

Summary: OH GOD!
Review: This movie is terrible, I got it for christmas the year it came out, I watched it and couldn't beleive how terrible it was. There was really no definite plot, unlike jurassic park. They should have gone more by the book on both movies. The first and the second movie are way different than the book. If they were like the book they would have made millions in the box office, and not been such a flop.

Summary: no where near the classic as the original , but its ok
Review: well we waited 4 years to see more dinos and speilberg loads this film up with them . it has plenty of action for action fans. what is missing is the wonder and awe and the breathtaking brilliance of the original. the characters in this one are down right dull and ignorant.the story hardly follows chrichton's exciting book at all,and the originals cast of sam neill and laura dern are indeed missed.instead they are replaced with a bunch of morons. sure kids will love it because of all the dino action, but if you love the first jp you will not love this one....it is worth the money to watch it but theres no way its as enjoyable as the first. the raptor scene close to the end is really good,however..it really keeps you on the edge of your seat. but the film has horrible dialogue and it seems as if it was made for younger kids, unlike the first one.except this one is more violent.sure there is more dino action in this one, but tons of action can make a movie dumb,as where the original jp relied on suspense and wonder as we saw the dinosaurs return for the first time in years.we were all captivated and stunned as these creatures graced the screen like never before.thats what made the original so great, the beauty and wonder of it all. this one seems to just have a bunch of dinos running around eating people. but it is a good film.

Summary: The worst Stephen Speilburg film that I have seen
Review: This is by far the worst adaption and I don't even think that you could even call it an adaption of a Michael Critchon novel. The only thing in the movie that comes close to resembling a scene from the book lasts two seconds and even that isn't close to the book. But the thing that annoys me most about this movie is if the only dinosaur on an oil tanker is a T-rex and it's locked away in the tank compartment, is how did the crew get eaten in spaces on the ship where the dino couldn't fit into. Even worse the city scenes where a rip off of another bad movie, Carnosaur.

Summary: Not as good as the first, but still a lot of fun. . .
Review: The Lost World - Jurassic Park has gotten a lot of criticism since its release. Much of it is justified, but equally as much is based on a very unfair comparison to the blockbuster original. Only a handful of movies can justifiably claim the title of "classic", and none that I know of are sequels.

The biggest problem for The Lost World is that it is impossible to recreate the sense of awe and wonder that was inspired by Jurassic Park's groundbreaking effects work. Instead, too much emphasis was placed on the savagery of the carnivorous dinosaurs and the incredible stupidity of the humans invading their territory.

However, it must be pointed out that the T-Rex's, raptors and other sauripods in this film are equally as impressive as they were in Jurassic Park. There are some very good, shuddery action sequences. When the location shifts to San Diego, there is a good deal of very legitimate comedy. The total absurdity of an Animal Control truck's headlong response to a rampaging Tyrannosaur could only be countered by its equally headlong departure from the area.

No, The Lost World is not as good as Jurassic Park. Yes, it's a little too violent and yes, Jeff Goldblum's moralizing gets to be just about sickening. But for all of these minor distractions, this is a very entertaining movie that is well worth your investment of viewing time and maybe a few dollars. And after all, this time the critters win!

Summary: "Nothing" has survived from the novel by Michael Crichton.
Review: I don't know why The Lost World producers insist in telling that this motion picture is based on the novel by Michael Crichton if almost nothing has survived from his remarkable story in this motion picture. "If I hadn't found a story I was interested in, Jurassic Park would have remained just a nice memory for me," says Steven Spielberg. However, the bestseller novel The Lost World, by Michael Crichton, which is really a great story and the perfect sequel to Jurassic Park, seems to be "ignored" by this motion picture producers and the cinematographic adaptation of the original story became a running and screaming breathtaking adventure with amazing visual and sound effects, and an spectacular soundtrack, but with a little convincing story, completely different from the proposal of Michael Crichton for The Lost World, disappointing everybody who had read his novel. A lost story concerning a Lost World!
