Summary: If you like Jet Li this is a film for you.
Review: Though 'The One' may not have the most complex plot or the best acting, 'The One' was probably one of the most enjoyable films of 2001 for me. If you are a Jet Li fan, or even a fan of Martial Arts films, I'm sure you will love this movie. This is propbably Jet's best American film.

Review: In The One with Jet Li, there is a whole lotta action. The way that the music in some segments corresponds with the action is amazing. Jet Li is truly talented in this film with his speed and power. The One is a Must-Own for any Jet-Li fan, or any fan of the action genre.

Summary: This Movies Rules Over All!
Review: Ok, for all those people out there who said that 'The One" sucks and has no good story and plot and so on, i just hope they realise that any Jet Li movie is only meant to have a simple action plot and be full with kung fu and wire fu and maybe AWESOME special effects, just to give my opinion i think that 'The One's' special effects and kung fu were really cool and the slow motion bullet time stuff was quite amazing. How Jet Li could walk around that group of guards and smash the crap out of them without them even knowing what the hell was happeing coz he was so quick for them was absolutely mind-boggling. From the first fight scene where you see jet roll out of that vent and blow that guy down to the ground in slow motion told you how mad Jet was going to be. The music was a tad bit lame in parts but it still kept the flow for the fights and the last fight was so bloody excellent. I so recommend you see this movie if you like that matrix-kind of stuff and who cares if action movies these days have that matrix stuff, its still cool and makes me happy. Anyway this DVD will be in my hands before its released in Australia becoz my friend lives in singapore and its coming out on the 19 of January. So im totally excited. (...)

Summary: great premise
Review: the whole idea of parallel universes is great as is the idea that there are other versions of each of us. this is actually a theory which astro physicists came up with. the idea of the wormholes and traveling through them to each universe is very typical stephen hawkings based scifi. people thinking the story is silly need to check out some books on cosmology and on the theories of the universe. i thought the action was great and the whole idea of becoming a god by killing your other selves because they naturally integrate themselves into you was interesting. jet li as always kicks some (...). the special effects were really good,especially the fight in the sparks and the grabbing of the cop cycles. go check it out, it was a great thrill ride and intellectually based on some well known scientific theories.

Summary: Upsetting...froma HUGE jet fan
Review: Boy was I not looking forward to writing this...this is by far jet's worst American release...i own the majority of his HK movies and none of his American ones...i will get Kiss of the Dragon tho (awesome)...the movie started off extremely well with the bone crushing fighting at the jail scene, but afterwards the film was really slow and the idea behind the story was really stupid in my opinion...they say that there are many unverses and different versions of the same person, with one version distributed to each universe...if one version happens to die, his/her energy gets evenly distributed to the ones that are still alive, which is why there is a bad jet goin around universe hopping and killing the other versions of him to become superpowerful...hmmm...ok, what about those who are past 80 or are dying of old age??...many will die and then what?!!...you mean to tell me that there will be superpowerful old men walking around??!!...and i presume that the last survivor of the many versions will be The One right??...at the age of 105...please...i bet the story writers never thought of That ONE...many many potholes like the last scene where good jet gets transported to a certain happy place...not gonna spoil it, but when you see it think about it afterwards because it makes no sense at all...i mean how odd that he was transported to a certain time and place where a certain occurence was happening =/...the fighting?...well there are a few decent scenes, especially the begininng one, but the last fight was a bit too slowed down for me with the slow motion crap...but you all should watch it and make your own opinions about it, but consider what ive said after viewing it...Better jet films are Fist of Legend (best martial arts movie of all time in my opinion), Tai Chi Master, Fong Sai Yul series, Once Upon a Time series (first 3), and many others too...jet's great, but this movie was just disappointing...2 stars for the fights

Summary: This movie deserves less than a one.
Review: Plot: Lame, Lame, and Lame. Oh wow, Jet Li kills himself and gets stronger. How exciting...Music: Theres like one good theme, but... after they add stupid lyrics it turns out bad. Action: The action is really lame. Of course Jet Li, Master of wires. The whole bullet time thing is stupid. The only good fight is the final fight. Then theres this stupid American cop. Who like goes through a bunch of pain, but he wont die!!!! the place is blowing up, and hes limping up the stairs. Me and one of my friends were like, WHY WONT HE DIE ALREADY! Overall: This movie (is awful)... Instead of this, watch Fist of Legend. Thats a great movie.

Review: I dont get why allot of bad reviews on this movie!! This movie made since with the title of it. THE ONE. it is a future'istic movie about more planets with the same person and JET LI wanted to be the ONE (only) and he had the travel into other planets to kill off the rest of the same identity of him, but he runs into some problem when there is another like him but that other ONE (same identy as Jet Li) gets stronger when the othere ONE (lol) trys to kill him and now its a cat and dog chase!!!. Not only that,, theres also 2 cops chasing him for a while. I think this is a great movie. I am sorry if its not making allot of sense,,, but just watch it.!! Trust me you will like it!! I really hate to tell you about it if you have not seen it yet. But its worth a watch and I know I will be adding it to my DVD collection once it comes out following KOD (kiss of the dragon) I dunno about the bad reviews are,, but I am sure there probably little kids that didnt want to use there brains soo much and didnt get the plot so they said it (...). What ever!! IMHO JET LI and all his movies kick (...) and JET LI is going to be a remembered the NEXT lengend'er as Bruce Lee is. Folks if you like to see a ACTION movie go see this.. I promis you will not be disapointed with this action movie. Jet Li does so much in a 1.5 hrs of his time. I went and saw this with some friends ard we all came out says DAMN... that movie had action from the beginning ot the end.

Review: There is not much to say about this movie other than it was a total let down. Its plot was fuzzy at best. There was no acting worthy of comment. The martial arts scenes were bad. I left the movie feeling like I had wasted my time and money. This was my last Jet Li movie.

Review: I dont go for these Kung Fu-Karate-beat 'em up-action-kill-all-the bad guys movies. I really, really tried to enjoy this film. I was forced into it by a friend, and for his sake, I really tried to enjoy it. But the movie was very lame, the constant action became tiresome. And worst of all, the entire premise is garbage. [...] I don't recommend this movie.
