Summary: Amazing for children and adults alike
Review: I became hooked on this movie as a child, and now as a senior in college who is using this movie to write a review of group dynamics, it is still amazing. I think I can honestly say I can quote this movie from memory. I highly recommend that this become a part of everyone's video (or DVD) library. It is wonderful to relax with after a long week, and it offers a few good laughs and a happily ever after ending. Children will love it because it really does have it all- adventure, romance and fun. Buy this video or DVD!

Review: This is one of the most often watched videos I own. An entertaining escape. Action, adventure, romance, good guys, bad guys, princess in distress. Kitschy and loads of fun!

Summary: The #1 feel good movie of all times
Review: If you want a feel good movie that even your spouse and kids will like this is the one for you. It is the story of a boy who is home sick from school (Fred Savage) who's Grandfather comes over to read to him (Peter Falk) and while the kid wants to play video's he is reluctantly drawn into the story. The story is about a young girl and her love and how they are separated. There are pirates and kidnappings as well as a 6 fingered man and revenge. If there is a pun, or a joke it is probably tastefully used in this movie. This is the movie where "have fun storming the castle" comes from. Directed by Rob Riner
An all-star cast: Cary Elwes, Mandy Patinkin, Carol Kane, Billy Crystal, Andrea the Giant etc....
In addition the SE DVD has a home video shot by Cary while the filming happened etc... Great Video.

Summary: Timeless
Review: I can't tell you how much I love this movie! I've seen it several times and never get tired of it. This is one of those movies that both men and women love and enjoy and I have never talked to anybody (man or woman) who's seen it and didn't like it.
It's fantasy, comedy, and romance mixed together to create magic!
It's one of those movies that everyone will find pleasing and entertaining.

Summary: A great story with an okay dvd
Review: It's a story that the whole family can watch. It's got romance, comedy, and all that jazz. The dvd could use some more special features though. I suggest buying this. The 4 stars is just because of the lack of features.

Summary: What A great fantasy Movie!
Review: This is a great fantasy movie. It is hilarious and it has great acting. This movie also has a happy ending which makes it a great fantasy movie. Released the 25th of September 1987 this movie grossed 30 million dollars. I think it should have grossed more because it had good acting and was really funny. The DVD translation was great to Widescreen it made me feel like I was watching it in the movies. I recomend this movie to anyone who loves fantasy movies and is highly recomended to children. If you like this movie try Labyrinth(1986).

Summary: AFI's Great Love Stories: #88 The Princess Bride
Review: The novel is entwined with Goldman's thoughts on the wonderful world of Hollywood, but this is replaced in the film with the framing device of a grandfather (Peter Falk) who is reading Morgenstern's famous novel to his grandson (Fred Savage). I actually found people recently who had never seen "The Princess Bride," but they can now be counted among the congregation of the faithful as well. If you do not love this movie, then I am truly sorry that something happened in your past that prevents you from enjoying something this much fun.

Unfortunately, no movie that is so beloved has treated its fans more shabbily than "The Princess Bride" when it comes to enjoying it at home. For years all we had was the video tape, and then the DVD came out with NO EXTRAS and then a few years went bye and THEN we got the "Special Edition" DVD version. Unforunately, when this film shows on television they tend to bleep out my favorite line, which is when Inigo tells Count Rugen what he wants.

If you like "The Princess Bride" then check out these other films on AFI's list of 100 Greatest Love stories: #4 "Roman Holiday" and #34 "Beauty and the Beast." Why? Because one is also about a princess and the other is also a fairey tale. Oh, and you can also toss in #19 "Ghost" and #73 "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir," because those are also films in which death does not stop the course of true love.

Review: By far, The Princess Bride is the best movie ever. I can honestly say that I have had the movie for years and watch it at least once a week. The great producing and acting are enough to make me cry. I love the DVD that gives teh viewers a different aspect to the filming.
