Summary: Jurassic Park III: Best of the Three?
Review: Jurassic Park was one of the greatest movies of the 90's. The Lost World left many people disappointed. And now, in 2001, a balance is finally struck between the two. Jurassic Park III, while better than the Lost World, is not as good as the original film. When comparing special effects, JP3 far outweighs either of the two other movies in the trilogy. The dinosaurs are incredibly lifelike and believable. I'm glad that Sam Neill decided to reprise his role as Alan Grant, because he was one of my favorite characters from the original Jurassic Park. I cannot wait for this movie to be released on DVD. And from the looks of the ending, Jurassic Park IV probably isn't too far off either...

Summary: Well done
Review: Out of the 3 Jurassic Park movies, this wasn't necessarily the best, but better than the second. I enjoyed this film and it was well done with good computerized characters, and good acting. But, there was two problems, it was boring on some parts, and it was too short. Other than that, it was worth it.

Summary: Spectacular Cinematography
Review: We enjoyed Jurassic Park III almost as much as the original Jurassic Park. JP III has a good plot, lots of action, humor and surprises. Those fabulous and frightening dinosaurs leap off the screen. The audience was captivated and interacted with the actors circumstances (oohs, aahs, laughs and screams). Remember this is rated PG13 and is too intense for young children.

Summary: It KINDA SUCKS!!!!!!
Review: Allright. So this movie is way too short...... and yeah....they did skip a lot of the boring stuff but it the movie is still not that good. The ending sucked. I expected a jurrasic park ending with some crazy battle scene or something, but it just was kinda like, allright, it has been 90 minutes, the movie is over. The only cool thing I can say is that the birds were pretty cool. We only got to see one shot at the end of the lost world but now they get a lot of screen time. The spinasaur was nothing special. Save your money for planet of the apes and jay and silent bob! Nooch....

Summary: Universal Pictures Presents a 3red Jurassic Park
Review: I have not seen this Picture yet but I'm sure it will be great. Sam Neil is back as Alan Grant. Sam Neill was last seen in Jurassic Park (1993). Based on other reviews the only thing diffrent is that Alan is no longer with Dr. Satler (Laura Dern). This movie though I have not seen it is about Raptors. For all that I know Jurassic Park 3 has nothing to do with John Hamounds Jurassic Park. Jurassic Park (1993) delt with an old man that wanted to create something real and it turned in to disaster. The Lost World Jurassic Park (1997) delt with Hammound wanting to put the park back online even though InGen was being taken away from him. When they then got to the park all heck brakes loose again. Now in Jurassic Park 3 Alan has a grand theroy on raptors and they go to what Hamound called in The Lost world "The Lost World" site B of Jurassic park and They're trying to get out alive for the third time. No where in their you heard me say Jurassic Park. That's why based on what I 've heard read and seen Jurassic Park 3 get 4 out of five starts for not staying to the subject of the original idea.

Summary: Well, there's dinosaurs in it . . . but not much else
Review: Does it look like my rating and title contrast? Well, they do. And they don't. I have just had the priveledge of viewing Jurassic Park III, and I must say that it was quite an experience. A huge fan of the Jurassic Park movies, I have seen the first 2 over 30 times each, and have virtually memorized all the lines. I hope to do the same with this one. Going into the movie, I was bubbling with eagerness. The trailer and the 2-minute review on NBC's "Jurassic Saturday" had looked too good to be true. This movie turned out to be much of what I had expected to, which was nothing short of spectacular. The dinosaurs have all gone through a huge makeover, and they are better than ever on the big screen. This movie is all action, all the way. That is primarily a good aspect of the movie. However, in a way, it is a bad aspect, too. The one thing that I cherished so much besides the dinosaurs in the first two movies were the fantastic plot lines. This one had no such thing. It was just get on the island and undergo continuous havoc. It seemed like all the dinosaurs had suddenly been concentrated into a one-mile area. Every time one of the characters turned around, there was another dinosaur. Speaking of the characters, Sam Neill (Dr. Alan Grant) has turned into a much more snappy paleontologist, who is constantly preaching how dangerous the island is, much like my favorite Jeff Goldblum (Ian Malcolm) acted in "The Lost World." But besides his admonitions, the only role of the other characters, it seemed, was to SCREEEEEAAAAAAMMMMM!!! And this time, it was not from the incredible T-rex, not anymore. Suddenly, the biggest and scariest creature, the one that built the most anticipation, wasn't so big and scary anymore. Our long-time friend has been dethroned and unfortunately (in my opinion) replaced by the nasty-looking Spinosaurus. Well, I don't want to spoil it for you, but you should most definitely go see it post-haste. I need to see this movie about 29 more times to get the real feel of it. Once I memorize the lines, then I can truly rank it with the other JP's. But for now, it is an overall extraordinary movie, which will leave you gaping on the edge of your seat.

Summary: Universal Pictures Presents a 3rd Jurassic Park
Review: I have not seen the film yet but the trailer was very helpful. I have been waiting to see it since I heard about it in Aprill 2001. The third chapther to Michale Criton's novel Jurrassic Park is about Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neil Jurassic Park Bicentenial Man) Is back and has a theory on Raptor intelligence. His theory on raptors prove to be right as they were smart "smarter than primates" (theatrical trailer). This film looks like a best seller. For me the only backdrop is that Steven Spilberg is not directing this picture he's only the executive producer. I read in a magizene that he just did not want to be in charge of those dinosaurs. But the rumor has that Jurassic Park 4 might start production sometime next year. Jurassic Park 3 Starring Sam Neil and William H. Macy opens Wenesday July 18 2001.

Summary: JP3 leaves you wanting more but satisfied with what you got.
Review: I've always had a personal connection avec the original JP...it came out and one of the happiest times of my life; perhaps that's why I've projected that it was a great movie. Certainly it holds a technique that the sequal and this third installment lack: incessant suspense. Yes, there were some suspensful intentions, but many never followed through. Perhaps the fact that it is a mere 92 minutes as compared to the first two which were two hours+. This film also lacks the majestic qualities and the inspiration of awe, the feeling that you were taking in something new and unique just as the charcacters in the movie were and the inability to comprehend the situations put forth before them. It seems that JP2 and 3 have a fatal flaw (predictability and casualness).

Mind you, I certainly enjoyed the action sequences. I'd go as far to say that they are certainly braver than the originals. You can tell Spielberg did not direct this movie. It is not overly sentimental. Instead it harbors a darker flavor and it works well.

It's a shame that the movie has a tendency to drop dead with banal dialogue. There's a speech delivered with William H. Macy about the joys of fishing trips with his ex-wife, Tea Leonie. Yes, that's right. Ex-wife. Yes, you've seen Twister and you've seen the Parent Trap so you know the formula. Happily, we care so little about the characters (though I should note that they are wonderfully acted by a quasi-all star cast) that wether they live or die is not an issue. We care more about the action and adventure. The action and adventure sequences are so top notch that we are left wanting much more. But they've followed Hollywood's ONLY pertinant Golden Rule: Leave your audience wanting more. Unfortunatly, you should have some sort of conclusion before abruptly ending the film with no catharsis.

Jurassic Park is not something I would consider a movie, I would consider it an object. It is not pretentious, it does not masquerade as art. It is a movie that you can go and enjoy without having to get involved with characters. As opposed to other knock 'em out formula films, JP films always always succeeds in entertaing you no matter how thin the plots are. I definatly reccomend this film. It is a perfect summer movie. By all means, hang disbelief at the door, sit down with you popcorn and enjoy seeing a Spinosaurus (or Tricephlaplotz as William H. Macy calls it) eat an airplane.

Summary: How bad can bad get? REALLY REALLY BAD!!!!!
Review: Oh boy what a bad film its was so bad that one cant even describe it. As someone who like the first two reasonably well I was shocked at how bad this film was. It wasn't even bad in a good way like Battlefield Earth. What is sad is that people are going to like it! True the visuale effects are great and better than the first two but all special effects and no plot or substance dont add up to a good film. It may only be good to those people out there who totaly stop thinking and be dumb for two hours ( Im not talking about kids, kids are born to like this film) Im sorry I cant do, that Im not George W. The truly dood thing in this movie was the Spider-Man trailer before the movie began, that was the only thing that made my spending ... worth while.

Summary: I was Very Disappointed with this Movie
Review: I was really expecting this to be a good movie. I was looking forward to seeing it for a long time now. I was really disappointed. All the best parts were in the trailer. I thought there was going to be lots more to this movie. I wish Steven Spielberg had directed it. It was good to see Sam Neill again but the script didn't give him too much to do. This film had a lot more potential. I won't say it was a bad movie. It was just average.
