Summary: Name is Bond, James Bond.
Review: This is a god set for collectors with an attractive box and good variety of Bond films. The only thing it lacks is George Lazernby. This set has all of the Bonds except him. All of the movies have their own flavor and level of action. The Bonds are all diferent as well. Sean Connery being the rough and cool secret agent with all the right moves. Roger Moore being the more romantic and wittier. Timothy Daulton being the roughest of the Bonds with a more ruthless edge. Pierce Brosnan possibly being the best Bond with the ruggedness of Connery and the witt of Moore. All of the Bonds are great, but it still could have had George Lazernby.

Summary: Get With It
Review: The reason that NSNA isn't included is because it is not an "official" movie. MGM doesn't have the rights and therefore can't put it in its box set. Besides that movie is simply a second-rate remake of TB. Buy this box set and see the best of the real Bonds.

Summary: Bond on DVD
Review: As always, these films are quite entertaining. DVD allows for superior picture quality. I already have these films all on VHS and Laserdisc, so the attraction to buy the whole set again is the excellent quality picture. However, I certainly hope the word reaches the studios or whoever that we'd like the whole set available, and I hope they choose a good print to make the disc from, for obvious reasons.

Summary: Nobody Does It Better
Review: Like many I was a little shocked to find out that GF and LALD were in mono. If Thunderball can be 5.1 why can't they be the same I asked. I do not plan to return thee just because of that though. The extra features on the discs are far supirior to that of the first dvd release of GF or any other bond movie. Those who let the mono sond quality ruin their enjoyment of these Bonds cannot truely be Bond fans. The movies can speak for theselves even if the sound isn't top notch. For those people that complain about this I hope that all the others in the other two sets come in 5.1. For the true fans, we'll enjoy them regardless. Also, MGM hasn't said that TWINE will not appear in either of the two box sets to come. I personally think it will be in the one scheduled for early next year around the time it's due for a video release. If I'm right then the 2nd box set will be the best one of the three.

Summary: Bond is back
Review: I think all of the people who are complaining about the choice of movies are, pardon the pun, not seeing the big picture. This is a great cross section of Bond films and they are doing this to please the average Bond fan. While die hards plead for a chronological release, I for one would not like that. I like Brosnan and Moore the best and I would not have wanted to wait for another 6 months to see their films. This is a great gift set and is surely long awaited!

Summary: What Can You Say? It's Bond!
Review: This is the best and only Bond collection on DVD I 've ever seen. The movies are chosen with what looks to be a random choice, and MGM keeps you begging for more. I like Bond, but I love watching this series of movies and listening to all the extras that were included. This is a must buy for any DVD owning person.

Summary: A really well put together package with excellent 'extras'.
Review: It is clear that this set has been put together with the fan in mind. There are hours of entertainment to be had before you even get round to watching the films! The addition of the trailers and music videos was an inspired choice. Many of the documentaries have been researched and put together by the big names on the JB circuit including John Cork (IFF), Graham Rye (JBIFC), and Dave Worral (JBFC). Well done to MGM/UA for deciding to launch the DVDs.

Review: i am the #1 bond fan ive seen all the movies and im waiting 4 more and by the way this set was great

Summary: A Masterpiece of movie history
Review: How could anyone not wan't to be part of this incredible opportunity. i have every film on video all with original covers but i will be putting them away and protecting them and giving the DVD'S the thrashing they deserve. DVD is an incredible format and the movies will last longer than you or i ever will. they will never become poor quality like VHS and the sound is just awesome. Haing the titles released in scattered form makes perfect sense because it then gives you a reason to buy the other sets and has you waiting. I believe this type of marketing brings back the excitement in movies as there's always something worthwile just round the corner. If you really are the true Bond fans you think you are then you should be able to keep yourself happy by watching your VHS while you are waiting like me. I am only 19 yet still have all vids, posters, books for all movies and even the Corgi model of the Aston Martin from Goldfinger plus numerous figurines and cigarette lighters. I have no complaints with this set at all and even the worst reproduction on the DVD'S is still a truck load better than it could ever be on VHS and i think your kidding yourself if you don't believe so.

Any fan should have this set and the ones to come even if only for the fact that they will last forever so you can share them with family, friends and quiet nights at home for many, many years to come.
