Summary: Most comic book movies are like this....
Review: What many often do not see is that comics and movies are very different mediums. One tells a story in a series of story panels for 22 pages, and the other is a story done with film crew, cast, set designs, and a written screenplay. Very different. Anyway it is because of these differences is why most comic book films fail, they try to pass themselves off as comics when they are not (the makers of Hellboy should be taught a lesson by this, clearing of the throat). Anyway this movie made that mistake, it looked like a badly written comic story put on film, ignoring what makes Batman great in the books, and just pictured him as a mindless cartoon drawing being put on film. It also did not help that the casting for this movie was so bad. George Clooney as Batman, PLEASE. or Silverstone as Batgirl....FORGET IT. One hopes that all future comic book movie productions look at this film very carefully and do all they can not to repeat it's many failures.

Summary: The worst in the Series.
Review: Batman & Robin is the fourth installment in the Batman trilogy. What Schumacher did was take the cheesy television show, and remake the film. He completely disregards the Tim Burton style and makes Gotham not Gothic but a slippy and silly metallically colored slapstic wonderland. This film's effects were okay, and the sets were pretty good, but what really killed the movie was it's acting. George Clooney was a good Bruce Wayne, but horrible in the cape. Aarnold S. plays "Mr. Freeze" and boy did he do awful. Aarnold was perfect for the role but to me, "Freeze" was a doomed character from the start. Whoever thought of BatGIRL should be kicked out of showbusiness, however I do applaude Uma Turman's role as "Poison Ivy" She made the character. All in all, this movie is a good special effects film to watch, and I belive it could've done better had it maybe continued with the Gothic style that filled the original two films. See this film if you are a Batman fan, or a fan of the cast. Don't expect much.

Summary: A tragedy
Review: Throughout the years Batman has taken his fair share of punishment. In recent comics he's back broken, hes been attacked by super powered and maniacal villains. He even survived the goofy 60's TV series He has always survived and endured. This movie nearly killed him. It was horrible, it was ludicrous, I do not see how anyone in their right mind could enjoy this movie. I do not know what drugs the people who worked on this movie took. I wouldn't reccomend this movie to anyone, except for maybe terrorists or criminals who need interrogation. However even they dont deserve to watch this movie. I have seen many people try to say its not that bad and shrug it off. It will take a miracle to revive this franchise and I am hoping Nolan can pull it off. The bottom line is it is the worst movie of all time do not watch it.

Review: Bad-bad-bad movie. Word of helpful advice: AVOID AT ALL COST.
Uma Thurman, George Clooney, Chris O'Donnell, Alicia Silverstone and Arnold Schwarzenegger could not save this movie from becoming a box office bomb.

Summary: Some days, you just can't get rid of a BOMB
Review: Batman and Robin is quite possibly the worst movie I've ever seen. Where to begin? Hammy acting from the worst possible choice for Mr. Freeze (Patrick Stewart was tapped for the role, but was busy with another film), the degradation of the Bane character into a monosyllabic, rubber-suited buffoon, far too much neon, tight-fitting rubber costumes with **nipples** (shudder)...no, there is far, far too much wrong with this film. George Clooney was not playing Batman, he was playing Adam West playing Batman, and he was doing a terrible job of it. If the moviemakers had decided whether they wanted a serious film, or a campy parody of comic books, like the 1960s TV show, then it might have had some potential. Unfortunately, the constant waffling between seriousness and camp, along with all the other myriad flaws, make this not just a bad movie, but downright painful to watch.

Summary: Not Good
Review: Batman & Robin was a movie that had potential but being the 4th in the series gave it every bit of potential to be bad, eventhoug it could've been grand. But a few mistakes were present in making and producing this film.

For one, the acting is VERY sub-par. George Clooney is a great actor but for some reason he can't do Batman. He's not a good Batman/Bruce Wayne (Michael Keaton has so far been the best since Batman in 1989). Arnold Schwarzenegger would've been my LAST choice to play Mr. Freeze. It doesn't work out well with his accent either. Aside from these two flaws the casting and acting wasn't really that bad. Chris O' Donnell was still a good Robin and Uma Thurman wasn't THAT bad as poison Ivy.

The script is also poor. Bad dialogue makes this very bad. Nothing anyone says really stands out in your mind (I can't even remember any of the lines in this movie!). So the dialogue is terrible so the action has GOT to save this movie right?

Well, the action as well as the "Plot-Twists" are bad too. The action isn't like in the previous three Batman Movies. Is it because George Clooney is a bad Batman? Nope. It's because they're choreographed badly. Not as breathtaking as other movies with fight scenes. Nothing really stands out.

This movie is for the Batman-junkie. If you're a HUGE Batman fan and must have everything Batman then get this movie but that doesn't mean you'll like it. It's rather poor and could've been a lot better.

Summary: Amazingly terrible
Review: This is probably one of the worst films ever made for any franchise."alcar" doesnt really have much taste in film making. Look at his comments on the fellowship of the ring book. Boromir dies in the two towers but they put in it the fellowship of the ring for a reason. Isnt very smart this guy is. This probably wont get posted but I hope he or she somehow sees this.

Summary: Was this a Batman Movie?
Review: I don't think that I have to tell you this is the worst batman movie ever made, this can't even compare to the 60's tv series. George Clooney is not believable as batman or bruce wayne, he smiles too much and fidgets like a five year old. Keaton and Kilmer look like the brooding type but Clooney does not belong in a batman movie. For those of you who think batman was not a dark character before Frank Miller; Bob Kane's original batman who first appeared in Detective Comics #27 was a very dark character and there was no robin either. Clooney also seems to have the smallest role in the "film". For example, there is a scene where Bruce has a tiny flashback of when he and alfred were younger; the scene felt so empty because there wasn't a whole lot of character development. Another scene that was kind of ridiculous was when batman introduces himself to mr. freeze, "Mr. Freeze, I'm Batman". You could tell by the tone in George Clooney's voice that he was not taking this movie seriously. Anyway, I had to give this movie 2 stars because I like batman and all the different incarnations of the character. The next bat film sounds like it's not going to disappoint anybody the way this one did. WB is starting fresh and going back to batman's roots. What's that? Batman is the main character and there are no nipples on his suit? it's better already.

Summary: WOW!
Review: Batman & Robin was the best movie in the Batman franchise, easily standing up when compared to the first Batman movie (1966, not that piece of crap they did in 1989). Arnold Swartznegger delivers a chilling performance as Mr. Freeze and the addition of Batgirl relives the series of it's tiresome chauvinistic leanings and the movie manages to stir the heart and remind us of what good movies are all about. Bravo!

Summary: No Joel Schumacher
Review: Who made this awful script? It seems they wrote on weekend and having a beer. Who thought about those bad dialogues? And the bad characters trying to make jokes as Mr. Freeze, I don't understand why include Batgirl, and all those colours on the scrren gives you a headache. The fights have no thrill. Have you seen the rails on the ice before the cars of the heroes pass? Yes you can see the rails made to make the movement of the transports easier, while making the movie. Typical of a bad director. If producers wanted to destroy the the heroe, why put villains of Batman instead of the movie producers?

Save your money and time with this JUNK.
