Summary: Wow!
Review: The nitty gritty of the drug underworld is shown through the eyes of two undercover cops. It will never sease to amaze me on how good movies about drugs really are. 25th Hour was and excellent movie as well as the Salton Sea but Rush comes out on top by taking you farther into the grug world thatn you will ever be.

Summary: Great Film, Based on Fact
Review: This film is excellent in that it captures a mood and atmosphere that was real. The film is based on Kim Wozencraft's book, "Rush." She was the female undercover cop portrayed by Jennifer Jason-Leigh. She changed the name of the town and other names too, to avoid lawsuits, I'm sure, but those of us who lived in Tyler, Texas in the late 1970s, know that is where the real drug bust happened because we were here.

The only complaint I have is how they had the waitresses in the so-called Driller's Club dress in Cowgirl outfits. The waitresses in North East Texas rock clubs during the 1970s did NOT dress like that. They were rock clubs, not country western clubs. But overall, the dress, the music, was very right on target, true to the times, and the circumstances.

I have to add that Jason Patric's performance was fantastic. You believed he was that strung out guy. Why did he remind me of Dennis Miller the first time I saw him in this film? A better looking version of Dennis Miller, I might add. Also, Greg Allman is perfect as the elusive Will Gaines.

If you want to watch a film based on a true story (except for some creative exceptions here and there) that also raises some disturbing questions, get this video. Its riveting.

Summary: Before The Next Teardrop Falls
Review: This movie has the best continuous handheld scene as an opening, which pulls the viewer into the heart-breaking nightmare that unfolds over the course of the film.

The only distinction between the "good guys" and the "bad guys" are their intentions, which become blurred and distorted by drug addiction.

The bond between the two police officers is very moving, yet tragic. This true story will stun you, as you watch to see what happens from scene to scene, waiting for the next teardrop to fall.

Summary: Fantastic movie
Review: This movie is so great... the soundtrack and the theme are just so WOW!!! If you know someone in this situation, you truly can relate to this film...and appreciate the honesty that is portrayed in it. It really, truly does make you think about life's choices.

Summary: Not as gripping as the book
Review: This movie was nowhere near as entertaining as the novel it was based on: Smith County Justice by David Ellsworth. If you are lucky enough to find a copy of this "not in circulation" book, read it. It is a gripping reality check a/b Texas Justice. Thirty years later, Smith County in Tyler, Texas, isn't very different. God Bless TEXAS!!!!!!!!

Summary: A MUST HAVE
Review: Too bad for Jason Patric and Jennifer Jason Leigh that they made a picture so early in their careers that they cannot hope to surpass.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Shockingly Realistic- Who are the bad guys?
Review: Well, Jason Patric is not. Jenefer Jason Leigh is not. Walter, charater, sure is not. Greg Allman might be but you can't prove it. So it seems that the cops with their unappropriate means to get there man at any cost had my vote. Especially, that sicko praying and planting evidence at the cost of endangering the people hired to do all his dirty work! "It's a Thin Line" and that is bad enough in that work without a "pig's" deceit which proved to bring grave danger to the very

people whom he employed. I think someone should have visited his trailer and ended him! Jason Patric is Hot! He could have played Jim Morrison without any make-up. Catch him standing by Jim Morrison's poster in " The Lost Boys".
