Summary: vin diesel fans will not be disappointed
Review: For anyone who was a fan of Vin's previous works, this is yet another movie that you will love. I had been waiting for this movie since I picked up Pitch Black and all his other works. Everyone else that I know went to see this for Paul Walker, I went just for him. The movie was great!! Great camera angles that really threw you off and gave a great perspective of someone in side that industry. I will see it again and again!!! Go see it even if you don't think it looks all that good. Vin will change your mind about the movie and himself!!

Summary: It's no Road Warrior, but it'll do pig, it'll do
Review: This film desperately wants to be The Road Warrior, right down to fast cars attacking a giant semi. The problem is that Cohen shoots his load all in the first ten minutes. The drag race is awesome. The cars shake all over the place denoting super speed. Colors streak by. Somehow, while going 170 mph, the lead has the time to look away from the road so he can type on a laptop computer he has on the seat, whatever. After this awesome sequence of cool computer trickery squeezing every ounce of speed out of every frame...it's over. And I mean it's over for like an hour while we learn about the cardboard cut-out characters. Then they elude to "Car Wars" out in the desert, a sort of super race. They get to the race and watch one of their buddies race, then Vin leaves and the lead follows. Here's my problem, they never go back to the race. Why even have the race in the story? Nothing comes out of it, so why not just cut it out entirtely? Why tease us with some super cool event that never happens? My other major complaint is that nothing ever comes close to that first drag race. Also, I don't think I've seen such an open ending since The Empire Striked Back. I'm giving this film 3 stars because it did entertain me but there are serious problems that kept me from having a really fun time.

Summary: What really happens on Friday and Saturday nights
Review: This movie shows those of you who don't know, what takes place on Friday and Saturday night's; on the streets of L.A. or San Diego. What we (racers) do for thrills. The risks we put ourselves through playing cat and mouse with the cops for a 10 second adrenaline rush. Much like they did in the 50's racing hotrods, but with more risks. The movie did a good job of portraying the night life of street racers, but didn't do justice by portraying us as truck jacking, gun slinging, terrorizing criminals. Hollywood's doing...The story wasn't that great either (that's why I gave it 4 stars). But, lets face it, that wasn't what this movie was all about. Who cares about the story when you've got nice tricked out cars, fast driving, and possibly the best racing squences ever flimed. The way those racing scenes where filmed was absolutely incredible; you would actually start to feel as if you where driving the car yourself. Even I did, and I do it for real every Saturday night. So, if you're into sweet looking cars, fast driving, and breathe taking street racing...then you have to watch this movie.

Summary: WHAT AN "AWE"SOME MOVIE!
Review: This movie when I left the theater had me glued to my seat to the point where my fingernails were digging into my skin and my butt hurt after it. The movie has greatly filmed car races, which are the best I've seen since IMAX's "Super Speedway" (now on DVD). I recommend this movie to whoever likes to be thrilled to no end, and anyone who likes a great cast who acts great, likes a very loud movie, and can stand boring plot lines. See the film at a theater with at least DTS sound because that is the loudest sound I've heard. It did wonders for "Mummy 2". Great movie!!

Summary: Fast and unsatisfied
Review: One should take caution when going to see a summer movie without any proven box office talent. One might think that by casting no name stars that the filmmakers are going for a fresh look, but more often then not it's because they couldn't find any big name talent interested in the script. So instead they go out and find up and comers who badly need a hit movie on their resume'. Paul Walker (The Skulls, Varsity Blues)plays an undercover cop determined to bring down a ring of high speed theives who've been ripping off cargo trucks. Vin Diesal (Saving Private Ryan, Pitch Black) is his target. Walker befriends the crook he's supposed to be setting up for an arrest while falling for his sister (played with surprising intelligence by Jordana Brewster.) The acting is surprisingly effective but the script gives them no room to develop. Many plot points are left undone as the film puts more emphasis on a bombastic soundtrack and scenes with really fast shiny things. There is one incredibly thrilling scene on the California freeway, but overall the film dashes and tumbles and leaves very little to be said for anyone who might be interested in the characters. This film personifies the most shallow and pornagraphic of all male fantasies. A life filled with fast machines and scantily clad women who can't help but to want to satisfy the manly men who drive them. The performances by Jordana Brewster and Michelle Rodriguez keep this film from being completely mysoginist. This seems to be the sole purpose of Rodriguez's character as her name in the film might as well of been tough girl. If your the kind of guy who digs fast cars and WWF smackdown this film should be on your must see list. But if anyone out there is carrying cards for the ACLU, don't see this film or you'll spend the rest of the summer writing letters.

Summary: Good Adrenaline Rush, But That's All
Review: This movie is great mindless entertainment, the guys are hot, and so are the girls, the cars and chases are cool. It'll make you start looking around town for tricked out cars all night long after you see it. Not much plot or significant character development ("I live my life 1/4 mile at a time") but it definitely gets the blood pumping.

Summary: Completley Supports The Name
Review: The Fast And The Furious is diffenetly not going win an Award any time soon (Well, probably it'll get an MTV award), but it is the best summer movie. It is exactly what teenagers need for a 3 month break from the thing called "school".... War movies are good, but only one war movie. You shouldn't have too many in the summer because history is one of those things that school teaches. Summer movies need hot stars, good music, and stuff that would give grandma a heart-attack. This movie does just that.

The Fast And the Furious could not have been given a better name. Its fast, very fast, and it is very furious. That first race was so cool when they hit the gas and the camera flew through the inside of the engine. I loved that part. And the very beguining when the car drove right underneath the truck. It wasn't as good as it could have been because that also happens in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, oh well. This movie is still the summers best and most perfect movie. There are only two things that could have made it better, more scenes of Dom (Diesel) and his gang stealing the stuff from the trucks, and a bigger part for Ja Rule. He diffinetly shouldn't of had his name anounced in the preview, when the guy says "Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, AND Ja Rule" it makes it sound like he has the biggest part in the movie, its obvious they were just trying to attract viewers, they still would've been successful if his name wasn't in the preview. Oh well, still the best movie of the summer, mmmm.
