Summary: Campy fun that is enjoyable all the way through
Review: When I saw the trailer for this movie, I was about to puke. It looked so cliche and horrible that I knew it would be one of the worst movies of 2001. One weekend, my sister wanted to see it, and she dragged me to it. First of all, by then, I had completely given up hope for Paul Walker and Leelee Sobieski. Their previous movies were (PW) The Fast And The Furious; (LS) The Glass House and Here On Earth. But I was sure that Steve Zahn may be able to keep me from vomiting. Then I saw the movie. Wow. It completely surprised me. It was very scary and I enjoyed the whole movie.

Summary: Awesome Movie
Review: I saw the trailer Joy Ride, and I decided it looked cool, at least good enough to see. It was, however, much more entertaining than I thought- I troughly enjoyed it.

One thing that really adds to the movie that you aren't expecting going in is that it is actually a very funny movie, one of the funniest movies I saw last year, easily the funniest non-comedy of the year.

The suspense and action scenes are very good, and the bad guy's voice is the creepiest I've heard in awhile. This is a great movie, not to be missed.

Summary: SCARY
Review: This movie is very scary, because it could actually happen. I think any horror fan would enjoy this movie. I know I did. I dont want to give anything away but I think their will be a sequel.

Summary: Grisly horror and indescribable anxiety
Review: Joy Ride repesents the metaphorical zenith what a thriller should deliver on a regular basis. Instead of providing the audience with overabundant gore and exrrdingly outrageous cleavage and nudity, why not just tell a comprehensively sound story that amuses with ingenuity rather than excess. Charged with indulgently clever shrewdress in its presentation, Joy Ride demonstrates acutely the rather sparkling joys of suspensful storytelling that as of late continue to be ignored by a majority of the Hollywood establishment.

Summary: Develop a Phobia for Big, Black Trucks and Roadside Motels..
Review: This is a brilliantly directed and scripted, 5-star thriller. The casting of the 3 leads Steve Zahn, Paul Walker and Leelee Sobieski is perfect as they deliver wonderful performances and share great screen chemistry.
The villian Rusty Nail has the scariest voice! Listening to him talk on the CB radio is enough to send a chill down your spine. You'll have to watch the movie to know whether he does show his face or not in the end.

Summary: The sunfan
Review: Wow. This movie creeped me out worse than Final Destination did. Yes, I'll admit that it is along the vein of the typical teen horror flick - two guys trying to get away from a psychopathic killer, with the requisite really hot chock in Leelee Sobieski. However, none of the maon character get killed, and some parts of the movie were actually funny. The end is kind of left open.

Summary: A SUSPENSFUL MOVIE IN THE STYLE OF DUEL!!!!
Review: THIS IS A VERY IMPRESSIVE AND SUSPENSFUL MOVIE. IT KEEPS YOU INTERESTED FROM THE GET-GO. I REALLY ENJOYED IT. I RECENTLY VIEWEDDUEL FOR THE FIRST TIME AND IT WAS VERY GOOD ALSO. THIS MOVIE BORROWS A BIT FROM THAT FILM, BUT AT THE SAME TIME IT BUILDS IT'S OWN PLOT. IT'S A THRILLER AND AT TIMES IT MAY EVEN SPOOK YOU A BIT. ONE THING IS FOR SURE, I NEVER WANT TO ENCOUNTER A SITUATION THIS. SEE IT IF YOU HAVEN'T AND TURN THE LIGHTS DOWN LOW AND RELAX. LET THIS FILM TAKE YOU FOR A RIDE- A JOY RIDE!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST THRILLERS THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!

Summary: Surprised!
Review: I originally bought the DVD because simply I think Paul Walker is the best looking guy on this planet. The erason I entitled my review 'surprised' was because as I watched the movie I honestly found I loved it. Not because Paul Walker, I'd be lying if I said it didn't have anything to do with him, but I found the plot captivating and strangely original. This movie is very suspensful and it kept me on the edge of my seat. But it's also very funny(sometimes). The DVD is great: 4 alternate endings, Making Of, Trailers, and 3 Commentaries from director John Dahl(some interesting details), Steve Zahn(HILARIOUS, HILARIOUS) and Leelee Sobieski(very interesting) and writer Clay Tarver and J.J. Abrahams(haven't hear it yet).

Summary: Joy Ride is an excellent suspensful-horror film!
Review: A story about young Lewis and his brother, who try to pull of a little prank, while picking up a girlfriend on a road-trip.

This "prank" turns into a deadly game, as the 3-teenagers are hunted down by a psychotic truck-driver who wants them all ROADKILL. Now there's no escape, as the driver follows them wherever they go, and knows their every move!

With non-stop thrills and chills, this is probably one of the best thrillers ever made! The acting is nicely done too. Reminds me of Steven Spielberg's "Duel", which has some similarities to this one.

It's also quite clever that they don'T show the driver as much which builds the suspense and feel to the movie. check out the DVD-version of this film which includes: 4 different endings, theatrical trailer, and MORE!
