Rating: Summary: Seagal back in action packed sequel Review: The man who rocked the boat in Under Siege now powers ahead like a locomotive! Steven Seagal returns as ex-Navy SEAL Casey Ryback in the explosive techno-thriller Under Siege 2:Dark Territory, directed by Geoff Murphy. A renegade electronics whiz (Eric Bogosian) and his mercenary army have commandeered the sleek Grand Continental passenger train, transforming it into a rolling command unit for awesome weapoons satellite. Their plan is ingenious, but not flawless. Because the one passenger who eludes capture is Ryback. Suddenly the train is more than a control centre. It's a battleground. Ryback hits, runs then re-emerges in another car to fight again. All of his skills come into play. But can he work fast enough? The satellite is locked onto it's target. And the Grand Continental is barrelling towards an oncoming freight train hauling gasoline! In my opinion it is not quite as good as the first one but is just as action packed and exciting! A sequel is currently been considered.
Rating: Summary: SEAGALS BEST MOVIE! Review: Although this movie is kind of formulatic, computerized and mechanical it sure does excite and makes for GREAT escapism. It's not likely to change your views of the world or change your religion but it's more than the NO-BRAINER the critics have made it out to be. Seagal doesn't even try to emote a trace of real acting, which is a shame since it's the film's only fault, I guess this is because he didn't want to make it (he dislikes sequels). You'd think that massacring an entire gang of ruthless terrorists in the hot Colorado sun would cause him to overheat-but no, he doesn't even remove his jacket. That's how cool Casey Ryback is. And is not so squeaky-clean either as he takes great pleasure in puting the bad guys thru a lot of pain before dispatching them to terrorist heaven. Travis Dane (Eric Bogosian) is a teriffic and totally loony-tunes maniacal villian. He is aided by Penn (Everett McGill), a cold-hearted, steel-eyed and emotionless fiend who makes for a credible and worthy foe for Ryback. The showdown between the 2 is white-knuckle, no doubt. A special mention is needed for Basil Poledouris' score, which is VERY cool indeed. Highly thematic and heroic this music could quicken the pulse of a lifeless corpse. Much like the movie itself the score promotes MAJOR excitement. The DVD is pretty bareboned tho. 8 trailers for other Seagal movies are included and some brief production notes too. More is needed to inform of what was obviously a difficult production. The DVD is in remastered (for a 1995 film?) DD 5.1 and is anamorphically enhanced at 1.78:1.
Rating: Summary: ACTION Review: Under Siege 2 is a great movie. It's about terrorists who take over a train. They didn't count on Seagal though. This movie has good acting. But Seagal is mostly standing around and not killing bad guys. I would have to rate the special effects about a 85%. But keep in mind the movie is still very good.
Rating: Summary: two thumbs up, a real good time Review: steven seagal returns as ex navy seal casey ryback in this great sequal. the plot; bad guys take over a train to use a weapons satellite, but never thought casey ryback would be on the train. he is the only hero that stands in the way. this is an outstanding sequal to the first one which is better, but both are outstanding. rated r for strong violence and lots of language.
Rating: Summary: Typical Steve Seagal movie Review: The computer guy, Travis Dane, is the only reason to see this movie and he even gets kind of lame at the end. Seagal actually thought of something this guy didn't. Yeah right. Every one else in this movie plays a very forgetable role. Seagal included.
Rating: Summary: UNDER SIEGE 2: DARK TERRITORY Review: Steven Seagal is back as Casey Rayback, the Navy Seals officer turned professional cook, in this explosive sequel to the original UNDER SIEGE. This time, a group of international terrorists led by an ex-CIA operative have seized control of an express train and they are using it as there headquarters to control a top secret government satellite orbiting the Earth in space. Well, they didn't count on Casey Rayback to be on the train with his niece. Twice the action, twice the thrills, and twice the fun that was in the first film. If you liked UNDER SIEGE, you'll like UNDER SIEGE 2!
Rating: Summary: If you want action entertainment, this is it!!! Review: Lots of action. Very bad guys. Very macho hero. Tops in direction and the acting is great, regardless of what some snobs might say. Go for it.
Rating: Summary: bidness as usual for steven Review: yeah dis what i'm talkin about - my man breaksin heads without getting a single crease on his armani suit...what i love best about steven's films is the final confrontation - he annihilates his opponent with breakneck speed. i still rate Marked for Death as his best movie though, and Out for Justice as his most violent.
Rating: Summary: This movie was great Review: This movie was one of the best i have seen.. i would recommend it to everybody... not as good as under seige but it is still a good one..
Rating: Summary: Worth 5 stars from a 'non-stop action' point of view ! Review: It's not often that I get to see a movie that gets my heart racing in suspense from start to finish. I like movies that have a basic storyline and either make you tense or make you laugh. This sure had me tense and was very entertaining. I like Segal because he never gets beaten up by the bad guys. The 5.1 DD soundtrack was intense from the launch sequence in the beginning to the train smash in the end. You must see this if you want action all the way.
