Summary: Every Household Should Have This Dvd
Review: Ninjas! Ninjas! Ninjas! Ninjas! Ninjas! You want ninjas? Look no further coz this film has ninjas up the wazoo. This was part of a series of films put out by our buddies at Cannon pictures that started a 20 minute ninja craze back in the 80s. I remember that too. Well, you couldn't pick a better selection for late night macheezmo action flick viewing. The plot's not important-some revenge/drug smuggling claptrap. This flick has everything you want from a ninja film: A rear kickin' ninja hero, his cool but not as rear kickin' sidekick, a female villian with a heart of gold, a ninja kid, an old lady ninja(!), a white villian ninja(!!), a moronic mafia godfather(who continues to try and rip off the ninjas even though they keep hacking his family into teriyaki chicken), a native american kung fu thug(who attacks with tomahawks), and an army of bloodthirsty ninjas! Our hero is continuously attacked by groups of assailants(who attack one at a time) who keep coming at him even though he's making coleslaw out of everyone. Some of them are Village People who hang out on a park bench. This film uses all those ninjas gadgets we've come to love: The blow gun, throwing stars, spikes, swords, flamethrowers(?), staffs with fancy junk that shoot out of them, and those curvey axe thingees. This is one of the most entertaining action films I have ever seen. No bull. You don't see anything half this cool in modern Hollywood action films, I'll tell you that. As I'm sure you've read, the dvd is nothing to brag about, but just be thankful that you can at least get this movie again. Buy it. Watch it. Live it.

Summary: One of the BEST Martial Arts Films made!
Review: Okay... Sho Kosugi (star) and Sam Firstenberg's (director) first efforts (excluding Kosugi's minor appearance in "Enter the Ninja").Though full of holes in the story, this is THE BEST ninja flick made. Full of action, excessive-gore, unneeded nudity and language, it has everything you can ask for in a "popcorn-movie". Don't forget it was made in 1983 -- AND for around $850,000 (low-budget at that time still). The only thing that puzzles me is that the theatrical version is different then the video versions. HBO showed the theatrical version (with extented scenes with blood and gore), but for some reason MGM/UA decided to cut a few gory moments from the video release. Almost 20 years later, I still don't understand why: They were both rated-R so why cut anything? But sit back and enjoy this popcorn-flick -- BUT only if you enjoy the action-films of the 80s!

Summary: best ninja film period!!
Review: Sho Kosugi is not well known for his acting or writing skills,but when it comes to hurling multiple throwing stars and carving up taunting thugs with a sword he's unmatched!!! This is the best of the 80's ninja flicks. The fight choreography for the time is entertaining and inventive , and the plot.....well let's face it the fight scenes rock and that's all we care about RIGHT ?!!

Summary: An awesome ninja movie!!
Review: The story is about a ninja who leaves Japan, his home, to flee his past. His whole family is brutily murdered except for his son and his mom. He takes them to america where he hopes to find a new life with the help of his friend. His friend betrays him having dealing with drugs with Sho(the ninja) not knowing he is using him. Well his friend, who is an evil ninja, takes out his enemeys in the process murders Sho's mother and Sho's little boy Cain witnesses the murder and sees the mans face. The evil ninja captures Cain and with the help of and old friend that does karate Sho must once again become the ninja that he tried to bury inorder to save his son and kil the evil ninja. In an exsposive show down the two ninjas use their deadly skills to fight eachother!! My honest opinion is that this is an awesome movie! The ninja's skills are awesome and although the story needed a little work the fight scenes are worth watching.

Review: This and Rage Of Honor are good Ninja movies, but why did MGM release the two Ninja flicks in full screen! Lazy mabe? Well TV widscreen is the way of the future so I think I'll pass this edition and hope a widescreen version is released, or just buy some Japanese import of the movie. Thanks for nothing MGM!

Summary: The best ninja movie ever made
Review: This is by far the best ninja movie ever made, not to mention it stars an actual ninja Sho Kosugi. The movie has some of the greatest fight scenes that I have ever seen. Knowing a great deal about the art of ninjutsu and practicing the art myself I can tell you that this movie sticks very close to ninja tradition and the way that it is used. Like the part when Sho Kosugi is Climbing the sky scraper using actual ninja climbing tools, that is just incredible. I highly recomend this movie to anyone and everyone. It's just too bad they don't these kind of movies anymore.

Review: This is definately my favorite Ninja Movie and I think the best Ninja Movie of all time! I first saw this movie in 1983, I loved it and later began studying Ninjutsu because I wanted to do that so much! World Famous Iga-Ryu Ninjutsu Master Sho Kosugi stars in an action packed film. In this film,
Master Kosugi demonstrates many traditional Ninjutsu tactics.
He demonstrates many Ninja exotic weapons from the use of the
Ninja-To, Shuriken, Kusari-gama, Tanto, Tekagi, and many others as well. He also demonstrates many empty-hand Tai-Jutsu techniques such as deadly bone-breaking, kicking and striking techniques, and some deadly throwing techniques. He also demonstrates rolling and flipping techniques along with some Kuji-Kiri meditation as well as stealth and sentry removal.
Also he has some enemies who can do the same. Sho Kosugi fights enemy Ninjas, street thugs, armed guards, and more! Putting so much use of exotic weapons, tools, fighting techniques, and action all together!
This movie really has alot to do with TRUE Ninja Tactics and
also very realistic! I recommend this movie to anyone who really loves Ninja Movies! Maybe you'll learn to love Ninjutsu and Sho Kosugi as I have! Sho Kosugi Rules!
