Summary: scare me, please
Review: Although filled with tons misinformation about the shark, this movie scared the bejeezus out of me when I was a kid. It's still terrifying to me today, but I still watch it over and over.

Review: Jaws was the first movie that made Steven Spielberg a household word.Excellient story of a beach resort where people are getting killed by a Great White Shark and the three men (played by Roy Scheider, Richard Dreyfuss, and Robert Shaw) who must hunt down and destroy the shark before it kills any more people. Screenplay by Peter Benchley and Carl Gotlieb.Based on the novel by Peter Benchley.Directed by Steven Spielberg.Music by John Williams.

Summary: DVD sounds are terrible
Review: I got this DVD thinking that it would be phenomenal given the underwater sounds and all. Sorry all, but I refuse to buy something that I have to wait until chapter 19 to hear some great sound effects that last a second. My advice is this. If you want to get this movie on DVD because you are done watching VHS tapes, fine. But do not buy this if you want to hear a great sound format. Also, the DTS version is a joke. I don't know if it was just the one DVD that I happened to buy, but it wouldn't allow you to choose the DTS format at all. Why pay extra for DTS if you can't even use it? My spouse and I laughed while watching it due to that there were maybe 4 times that you heard the "shark coming sound effect" on the rear speakers, and even then it sounded so mono. Save your money and don't buy this one.

Summary: The Shark Heard Round The World
Review: "Chomp" there goes my foot!(laughs)...But seriously folks, this Jaws fellow is one bastard you don't wanna meet in a dark alley, if you know what I mean! This movie flat out scared the (Bleep!) out of me! I read where it took nearly a year to train the shark for all his sequences, which is amazing considering this was filmed in the early seventies. Overall, this movie rocks totally and I can't recommend it any higher.

Summary: Horrible exploitation of the Great White
Review: No one individual can claim to cause such a threat to the survival of one of earths most awesome creatures as Mr. Speilberg. This movie is a total exploitation of the Great White and provides nothing but lies about the animals nature. It's one thing to exploit and provide thrills for money using aliens and other fictional characters but to falsify the nature of a beautiful animal for the sake of cheap thrills and money is not cool. He should be ashamed and there should be a disclaimer before this film explaining what is contained within is nothing but b.s.

Thanks to this film the Great White strikes fear at the sound of the word - out of fear comes minsunderstanding which has caused this shark to be hunted and killed to near extinction - this is a direct link to this film.

Ludicrous.

Summary: JAWS DVD
Review: I just bought this DVD yesturday and I am very impressed. The picture and sound quality are unmatched. There is tons of extras that will keep you busy for hours. The only complaint that I found was that there should have been some more outtakes, but thats just a little gripe. The movie is a timeless horror/thriller tale about a 25 foot hungry shark that feeds on local swimmers on the beach. If you own a DVD this is a must to your collection. After viewing this film you will think twice about swimming in the ocean. Buy it now!

Review: This movie is absolutely spectacular! When I was 10 years old I first watched it and I loved it since then! I got this special VHS edition of it and it is excellent. Excellent sound, picture! The making of it and theatrical trailers are cool too. I recommend everybody to get this video for their collection! It is worth it!

Summary: Brings back the horror!
Review: This time on one rocking dvd which really enhances the whole experience. This is no doubt one of the best horror flicks of all time along with Pycho (1960). Check it out!

Summary: Don't go in the water-but DO buy this DVD!
Review: This is a must for any serious DVD collection. The transfer is exceptional and the sound quality is great. The extras were good including the "making of" doucumentary. The only thing that would of made this DVD any better would of been audio commentary by the master Spielberg himself.
