Summary: I'm sixteen, and I still like this movie.
Review: I'm not afraid to admit it, Power Rangers was one of the most fun movies I've ever watched. The villains and the allies were excellent, the story was great and fast-paced, the action-scenes were great. The showdown, featuring the new zords which were beautifully done (even though the graphics are now outdated) was wonderful. This movie is very enjoyable for kids who grew up on Power Rangers and haven't completely discarded their childhood.

Power Rangers Turbo wasn't as good. The plot wasn't too swell, the action wasn't as good, and the movie was overall low-budget. I didn't like the villain at all. The only scene I enjoyed were when two of the characters turned evil; their brutality was surprising. The showdown was simply terrible. The zord-fight lasted, literally, but a few seconds, which was a complete turn off. Nothing is worse than an eleven-year-old's voice as a grown man's. The movie loses a star for this being included, as it raises the overall price for no reason.

Summary: Some good movies on a not-so-hot-disc
Review: I've already reviewed both movies on VHS-and both reviews concentrated on the movies themselves (you can't get a ton of features with VHS), so I'll tell you a bit about the disc itself here. First, the content. The movies hold sentimental value to me, and I'm extremely happy to FINALLY be able to see both of them in widescreen, not to mention 5.1 Dolby DTS. That's where the good begins to fizzle. The "Making Of" featurettes seem more like 10-minute infomercials for the movies-something you would NOT need if you've just bought both of the movies. The disc is dual-layered and two sided, so many, many, MANY more features could easily have fit onto it. What really disappoints me, though, is the lack of any DVD-ROM enhancements. They really could have done so much with this disc, and chose not to. Although getting both movies at once in digital widescreen is worth shelling out money to me, the lack of extras may turn you off if you already own both of the movies on VHS. If you don't own them (and think you'll like them), get this. If you do own them, well, consider carefully: your bucks or an upgrade to a compact, virtually indesrtuctable, digital, complete version from a bulky, frail, analog, cropped pan-and-scan version.

Summary: 13 and still lovin it,...
Review: I've been a P.R. fan since I was about 6 and I never get tired of them! People may think it's immature and all but Mighty Morphin and Turbo were the best! Almost everyone watched it when they were on! I was just talking to my friend and we both realized how much we missed watching the show, so we decided to look it up. I used to own these, but my mom had sold them thinking i didnt want them. Im so happy that they finally are selling these 2 on a DVD! And as soon as I get money this is the first thing Im buying. You can never be too old for the POwer Rangers! Esp Mighty Morphin and Turbo (much better than the new ones) I even quit my activites so I could watch them when I was little. Haha. P.R's ROCK! lol

Summary: Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
Review: Intill now, american cinema has not reached it's pinnicle. This movie and the phenomonally talented actors in it have elevated american film to the next stage in evolutuion. The entire movie, from start to finish is a cinematic masterpiece. Through the vivid colors, vibrent use of special effects and clever language, director Steven Wong has crafted a milestone epic that is sure to go down in cinema history. All serious film students and aspiring actors should critically examine this movie.

Summary: Die hard fan still!
Review: Okay, so I'm 18, most say too old to enjoy Power Rangers but who cares! Of course I'm only a die hard fan of the original first few seasons, up to space. Well, turbo was disappointing but...anyway the movies are nice, though I'm annoyed w/ dbl sided discs like this. Anyway the 1st movie is the best, totally kicks, and is what all power rangers is about. The second was less satisfying, and while I don't really find Justin annoying or not, they could have done better. So yeah, for power ranger fans this is great. Now if they'd only release season box sets, I'd be in total morphanominal heaven!

Summary: Good movies but only one went with story line of show
Review: The first movie everyone knows about who wathced the original and much better (had to say that) Power Rangers of the 90's. The first movie was cool and the story to get their new powers was really cool too but it's sort of a shame that the whole movie was a waste in a way. The movie didn't have anything to do with the show. What I mean is that if you were to watch this movie and then watched the show it wouldn't have mattered. Unlike the second movie which you HAD to see. After the first movie came out the television series HAD to have a different story for how the rangers got the Ninja powers. As everyone knows the TV show orignally came from Japan and all the clips in the show with the rangers fighting and the Zords were almost all from the Japan series. The movie on the other hand was made in America and wasn't a Japanese based film.
Some people don't understand why the movie version couldn't have been the way the rangers got the powers. Well that version is not the correct way they got them. The show's way was the true version and the movies way was just the USA's way of getting of getting money.

The second movie on the other hand had to be seen to understand the Turbo season and why Rocky wasn't the blue ranger anymore. The movie is good but it doesn't compare to the first but that is expected because the Turbo movie was set right into the plot of the show and not some other plot. The second movie uses the real command center, Zords, and weapons which is a let down b/c the first movies command center was awesome but once again this movie was based on the show totally. If you've never seen the second movie and are a fan of the orignial show then you'll like this movie for two former power rangers make an appearance in the movie.

The first movie had a cool new look, the second movie could've been shown one afternoon on Fox Kids when it first came out since it looked so much like the show. Well anyways I know it seems like I put both movies down but if you really like the original show you will really like these movies!

Summary: Decent movie deal on Power Rangers major movies
Review: The particular dvd showcases 2 Power Rangers movies. The first is the theatrical Mighty Morphin Power Rangers movie, which was very decent despite some bad dialogue. I'm sure the original 3 Rangers who quit the tv show ("Jason", "Trini" and "Zach") kicked themselves when their replacements ("Rocky", "Iesha" and "Adam") were inclusive in this film, along with "Kimberly", "Tommy" and "Billy". This film is many steps up from the television format of the show and includes some great scenes, as well as updated buffed-up costumes, a refined look for the villains (and the addition of "Mordant"), and of course the hilarious Ivan Ooze. The zords/the final battle scene was probably one of the most exciting scenes in the film. Basically this film deals with Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd releasing Ivan Ooze from a hyperlock chamber, and he destroys the Power Rangers command center, blasting Zordon out of his time warp, leaving him for dead, and the Rangers lose their powers, zords, weapons, etc in the process. The Rangers are sent to another planet (Phaedos) to find a special power called Ninjetti (with the help of the planet warrior Dulcea). Eventually the Rangers find the power and return to earth, to discover Ivan Ooze has hypnotized the parents and used them to dig up his zords, the ectomorphicons, and gave them power to trash Angel Grove. The Power Rangers summon their new zords and battle the Scorpitron and Hornitor, and then the final battle with Ivan Ooze himself. The other film TURBO is one I haven't paid much attention to, as it returns to the original format of the tv show with a new villain, Divatox. The only thing that captures my attention about this film is the return of Austin St. John (aka "Jason", the original red ranger), who I got the pleasure to meet in late 1995, a really nice guy. Overall, if you're into the Power Rangers, this is an excellent buy as you receive 2 movies on one disc as well as a small handfull of features, nothing to write home about. Enjoy!
