Summary: Patrick Swayze rocked in this movie
Review: This movie was a new movie for patrick Swayze after seeing him in dirty dancing and in " the outsiders" but a very excellent movie filled with action, drama, and suspense through out the entire movie. If you haven't seen it then you need to.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Fantastic, no brainer. Two hours of enjoyment
Review: This is the type of movie you go to and for two hours you relax and get entertained. One of the best action movies in the last twenty years. Stallone should take a cue from Swayze.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Bad movie, but entertaining
Review: Patrick Swayze plays a maverick martial arts expert with an NYU philosophy degree who cleans up a small-town bar full of rednecks. This is another so-bad-it's-good movie. There are some enjoyable fight scenes that keep the viewer interested, but some funny dialogue ("My way or the highway") and brain dead script put this on a lower level than other action movies.

Summary: Interesting, but...
Review: It's difficult to take Patrick Swayze playing a tough guy seriously, but he manages to pull it off here. All in all, an entertaining movie.

As for the "ripping the throat out" scene, it is nearly impossible to actually tear a man's trachea out of his throat. The best even a strong man might be capable of doing is crushing or badly bruising the cartilage, causing it to swell shut.

Summary: Brain dead cinema at its finest.
Review: Patrick Swayze's crowning achievement. He's Dalton- the NYU philosophy major turned king of the bouncers. Dalton enthralls us with his wisdom with lines such as "Be nice" or "Pain don't hurt." He is ably supported by the king of cool, Sam Elliot, as the bouncer guru. Opposing them is Ben Gazzara as big, bad man around town, Brad Wesley.

This movie is a hoot! A well-made and fast paced action flick. It's a guilty pleasure. You know it's bad; yet you can't help watching it. Once you start watching "Road House," you won't be able to stop. We have rednecks fighting, their girlfriends doing stripteases on tables, more fights, a monster truck used as a prop, more fights, a trophy room that could have only been stocked by hunting in a zoo, more fights, Memphis Mafia member Red West as a supporting actor, more fights, and a stuffed polar bear being used as a weapon against the baddies. A special mention must be made for Marshall R. Teague as Jimmy, Brad Wesley's main goon. Jimmy stares at Dalton. Jimmy laughs maniacally when he burns down a house. Jimmy informs Dalton during a fight of what he used to do to guys like Dalton in prison. (It leads one to believe that when Jimmy was staring at Dalton it might have been more about checking out his bod than trying to intimidate him.)

Summary: This Is A Good Movie.
Review: Patrick Swazye Plays As This Bouncer At A Bar And A Town That Needs Cleaning Up. I Like The Part Where Sam Elliot Dances With Kelly Lynch With The George Strait Song All My Exes Live In Texas. There Is Other Country Artist In This Movie, Like The Super Group Alabama, Earl Thomas Conley, And The Rock Band The Jeff Healey Band. It Is A Good Movie.

Summary: patrick swayze is the best bouncer in the world!
Review: Road house definetely has entertaining value. you can watch it over and over again and still you 'll never be bored! Patrick swayze plays a cool bouncer who has a degree in philosophy. This didn't bring him ,much further in life so he ended up being a bouncer. The intention were maybe once good but the potrayal of characters are too 1-dimensional.

Summary: Great Action, Classic Good Vs. Evil Story
Review: Patrick Swayze delivers an excellent performance as a Smart tough guy brought in to clean up a road house bar in a town run by a less than honest citizen played by Ben Gazzara. When his friend and mentor, Wade (Sam Elliot) joins him things really start to heat up, both between the protagonists and Dalton's (Swayze) love interest the doctor (Kelly Lynch). This is a classic good versus evil story where the hero struggles with his own demons and conscience, but as he says it's what I do, I win. Ladies will enjoy scenes of a shirtless Swayze, men will dig the kick-a** bar fights! (Some bad language, major violence, some blood)

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Don't Mess With Dalton
Review: When you think of true tough guy movies, you might think of a Steven Seagall or Clint Eastwood flick. I, instead, think of Road House. Swayze plays a tough bouncer, Dalton, that attracts trouble and does not sway away from it. With the help from a couple others, Dalton takes on all comers. If you are looking for good fights, great action, and true tough guy lingo, buy Road House. You won't regret it.

Summary: a thinking man's action film
Review: This is perhaps the most sophisticated action film ever made. It is a mixture of rugged sensuality and brutal naturalism. Swayze is at the top of his game and Lynch gives a persuasive, dynamic performance. The action, characters, and plot interweave perfectly. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes their action mingled with philosophy.
