Summary: Embarrassing, but Milla's in it, so who cares?
Review: As a guy, you might think it odd that I would watch such a film, and frankly I'm embarrassed by the fact that I did watch it. However, as a Milla obsessed fool, I couldn't pass it up. In the end I'm glad I watched it. Yeah, it's corny, and has pretty poor acting, however, Milla looked great, and her acting, as well as the acting of Brian Krause, improved drastically throughout the film. This is the perfect film for any Milla Jovovich fan, because it showed how she has matured and improved as an actress.

Viewer Beware:
Just as the acting gets better, and you think the corniness has settled down a bit, they throw a giant hunk of cheddar your way. To say that the ending is cheesy is an understatement.

Well, in the end, the movie is cheesy, yes, but if you're a Milla fan, check it out ASAP! However, because of the sometimes-corny acting, and all out teenage-female premise, I'm unable to score this above a 4 out of 5.

Summary: Not quite as great as the first, but still very good
Review: Even though I prefered The Blue Lagoon to the sequal, this is still a very good movie. Return to the Blue Lagoon follows pretty much the same plotline as The Blue Lagoon. Two children are stranded on a desert island, and later discover their sexuality. There is no where close to the amount of nudity in this movie as there is in the Blue Lagoon. This one you could actually watch with the family.

Summary: Fast forward review
Review: Flicks like this (for sleaze fans) fall into the underage perversion category, jailbait, lolitas, that sort of thing. I'm not sure how old Milla was here, but the point is whether she pulls off the feeling of being sixteen, and the answer is yes. Of course, there's no point if there's no nudity, but there is, briefly.

First we got some topless tyke running around, but boy, that stretches the definition in pretty much unacceptable territory. Anyway, it's brief. Then we got a lot of swimming and skimpy costumes (mucho legs and tummy) by the older Milla, but nowhere near as explicit as BG I. Finally, we got a uni-nip mirror scene. That's it, you can stop watching at that point and save wear and tear on your fast forward button. One star for the one nip, max.

Summary: Sweet, but the original was better...
Review: I DID enjoy this movie, but I'm glad I watched the original 1980 version first. The parents are said to be alive in the original, but are just as quickly pronounced dead in the sequel (this is exactly how it happens in the two first books of the Blue Lagoon trilogy). The boy is taken by a widow and her infant to the very island he grew up on, to escape the Cholera on the boat. The boy and girl grow, become beautiful, and the mother dies. Bam! Now you have two hormonal teenagers alone on an island. You can guess what happens next.

The movie attempts to "clean up" all the dirtiness from the first one. The only nudity shown is Lilli's (Milla Jovovich), and somewhat briefly at that. The actors do a better job than Brooke Shields and Chris Atkins did, but that's only because Brooke and Chris weren't all that good in the first place (Milla has done a whole bunch of good films, whereas Brooke is known best for inciting controversy in The Blue Lagoon, Pretty Baby, and her Calvin Klein jeans ads). I have to admit that the acting was better, and I enjoyed watching the characters interact. It's a good movie on its own. But compare it with the passion and purity of the first movie, and you're left, pardon the expression, dead in the water.

Summary: Think again the meaning of civilized and civilization!
Review: I did not buy this video but I did watch it on TV. However, it is enough for me to get the moral of the story. If most people will talk about the beauty appearances of the actress and actor or the island and the lagoon, I prefer to look deeper than the skin. This movie proposes us the new meaning of civilized and civilization. While most people think that civilized people come from the high civilization, this movie proves the contrary. From the story, we can conclude that advanced civilization does not always produce civilized society. In fact, the modest, or even somewhat primitive main characters are able to show the real meaning of civilized people; respect and love each other, keep the friendship alive, avoid the actions leading to conflict, and live harmoniously with nature. For us now, would we still consider that the civilized people ALWAYS come from the high civilization? Well, think again and look around you!

Summary: Great, exciting and in some bits funny.
Review: I didn't actually know that this was a sequel until I read the reviews on Amazon.com. I watched this movie and Saturn Home Cinema and it absolutely blew me away like a rocket. It was quite sad in places as well as been happy, sometimes scary and very exciting. I didn't know it was old either, I thought it was a movie from 97 or 98 but it is actually a movie from 1991 which took me by suprize because this is the kind of thing we want for the "later" nintys. Excellent.

Summary: Please God! Redo this movie!
Review: I don't know what most people are thinking when they write a review about this movie saying how "great" it is. I thought it was awful, really awful to be exact. Most of the movie is just a copy of the original, the all too worn out tale of friendship blossoming into love. Yes, it was romantic with the FIRST movie but it was pure laziness on the writers and directors part in doing the entire thing over again.

I almost wrote to the people who made the movie and asked them to redo it. It was lazily done and I think, that with a little effort, it could have been much better.

It's not the nudity in the movie that makes it bad and I think people who complain about the nudity are ridiculous since being naked is perfectly natural, for children and adults, we've just grown up in a world where nudity is considered a "sin" *ahemreligiouspeopleahem*. :-) What makes this movie terrible is the overused plot and anyone who's seen The Blue Lagoon can tell you that after watching this movie.

I don't reccomend this movie to anyone, if you've seen The Blue Lagoon, just watching The Return to The Blue Lagoon is a waste of your time, it is the exact same thing and poorly made. In short, if the director is reading this I suggest to him to get off his lazy bum and redo and then put some E-F-F-O-R-T into it.

Summary: Less nude than the sequel, but also less epic.
Review: I just got finished reviewing "The Blue Lagoon," and I said that it was more nude than this sequel, but more moving and poetic. The fact amazes me that both couples (Shields and Atkins, Jovovich and Krause) mate frequently; to them, making love is as natural as breathing, which is of course natural, so sex follows constantly. But this one is PG, the first one R. That is a major rating difference. I gave both movies 4 stars. Just please don't make another porno sequel.

Summary: Very Enjoyable
Review: I really enjoyed this film.I thought that it was cute how they tied in the first Blue lagoon and didn't just make a storyline not having to do with the first one.I thought there wasn't too much nudity(unlike the first film),and that the actors had fun with the roles. This film is good for a date or just to hang out with a couple of good friends.
