Review: This is a fine movie. Now Rocky is a heavy weight champ but a black man with spiked hair is stong. Stonger than Rocky. The man did beat him because Rocky's trainer, Micky is sick. Micky dies and Rocky needs help. Geoff, whom was in two matches with Rocky in movies Rocky and Rocky II will help him. Now it's Rocky's turn. Will he win? Find out in Rocky III!!!!

Summary: Great Action Flick!
Review: This is where the Rocky series switched from the genre of drama to action, in my humble opinion. I am a fan of both types of films, for different reasons. Whereas ROCKY was one of the best dramas ever (hell, it won an Oscar), ROCKY III is one of the best action movies. The fight scenes (more of them here than any other Rocky movie) were wonderfully coreographed. Maybe not "realistically", but they were exciting, and that's what counts for my dollar. And as great as the traditional Rocky theme is, nothing can beat "Eye of the Tiger" for mood music.

And to the reviewer who thought that the final battle between Rocky and Mr. T was totally unbelieveable, ask someone a little older than you about a fight called "Rumble in the Jungle".

Summary: Stallone Against The Impossible Again
Review: This movie is really just Rocky I & II combined and condensed to 90 min with one minor change: Rocky is the big media star this time while the antaganist is the nobody (but it still goes for the same effect, of course). Plot has larger than life superstar Rocky taken down by unpopular heavyweight contender Clubber Lang (Mr. T), then training with one-time rival Creed for a come back. Can you guess what happens?

Despite deja vu "Rocky III" turns out pretty enjoyable anyway, with its usual entertaining boxing matches including one with Rocky battling a wrestler named Thunder Lips (Hulk Hogan!). The last to feature Burgess Merideth as Mickey (except for part V's flashback but we won't dwell on that).

Fairly well acted and directed.

Summary: BETTER THAN THE FIRST SEQUEL
Review: THIS TIME, ROCKY DEFENDS HIS WORLD TITLE AGAINST CLUBBER LANG [MR. T]. MORE ENTERTAINING THAN THE LAST SEQUEL. HAS MORE FIGHTS AND A BETTER PLOT THAN THE SECOND MOVIE. WATCH FOR AN APPEARANCE BY HULK HOGAN IN A BOXER VS. WRESTLER MATCH AGAINST ROCKY, WHICH IS ONE OF THE HIGHLIGHTS OF THIS SEQUEL. I'D SAY THIS IS WORTH OWNING. FEATURES THE CLASSIC ''EYE OF THE TIGER'' SONG.

Summary: Sylvester Stallone's Rocky III
Review: This was the best sequel to Rocky for my opinion. After winning the title from Apollo Creed(Carl Weathers), Rocky Balboa(Sylvester Stallone) has defended his title several times. Then, Clubber Lang(Mr. T) challenges Rocky to a match and Rocky accepts. Before the fight, Mickey(Burgess Merideth), Rocky's trainer, has a heart attack and can't watch the fight. Rocky looses the match inside of three rounds. After the fight, Mickey dies in the locker room. Apollo Creed offers to train Rocky to get his title back in a rematch. This was a great sequel and it had great acting. Watch this movie, you won't be disapointed.

Summary: An Exciting Movie!
Review: This was without question one of the more entertaining Rocky
movies. In this movie You have the villain ably played by Mister
T.His character is called Clubber Lang. This movie also introduced the world to Hulk Hogan He would go on after this movie to defeat the Iron Sheik and become a legend in the world
of wrestling.Rocky has become too commercial and lost his edge to do effective battle. He takes on Clubber Lang(Mister T.) and
is badly beaten. After the fight his long time trainer Mickey dies. Rocky abandons the pomp and ceremony of his previous
training camp and begins training eith Apollo Creed. He gets back
his eye of the tiger and wins back his title. An excellent movie
for Rocky fans.

Summary: Near perfect
Review: To some, it might not have aged as well as the first Rocky film, but it gets my nod for the best sequel in the series. It has several things going for it, namely the pace, the formula, the editing (though flawed), and the character development and twists.

First off, it gives Carl Weathers a chance to redeem himself from the first two films, so we see he isn't such a 'bad guy.' You find yourself actually liking the 'Apollo' character from this angle.

Second, Mr.T plays his mean sonufabitch character to the hilt to maximum effect (even if he doesn't rate as a boxer!), and makes a truly fearsome and intimidating adversary. Rocky III also begins to invest into the notion of 'losing' for future reference, when trainer Mickey dies, and then setting the stage for the subsequent sequels to deprive Rocky of almost everything he knows and loves.

The soundtrack rocked when we were kids, and 'Eye...' is still a decent rock tune (however dated). The pacing of the film is perfect, and it never drags at any moment. It isn't remotely original, but it's extremely entertaining, and is a worthy companion to the first two films. The series should have ended here.
