Summary: A classic Bond story line.
Review: As is with all Bond flix, it was a good story line, however it did leave for something to be desired in the theatrics department. Fortunately a Bond fan, such as myself, will look beyond poor cinematics and weak acting to enjoy the bringing to life of the classic story line. I have a particular interest in this film though because it was the first Bond movie I had ever seen and introduced me to outstanding, seemingly unbeatable character of James Bond, 007.

Summary: One of my favorite Bond films ever!!
Review: I like the music that is played with the action scenes, especially the beginning. I like it when he is snowboarding on a piece of shrapnel from the snow-mobile damage. Nice theme song too. I give it 5 stars. Roger Moore is a better James Bond than Sean Connery. Moore made more movies than Connery, if you don't count,"Never Say Never Again;" which never made it to the series of James Bond 007 films.

Summary: Cubby Broccoli made a bad choice
Review: A View to a Kill was not in the top ten of the Bond Films (actually ranked 15th). Though a stronger plot line than Tomorrow Never Dies, the thought of a 'British' agent coming to America to foil a caper is a bit thin. Yet another of the Bond films that was not a book by Ian Fleming (though it was a short in the paperback For Your Eyes Only), it lacked the international flavor that a true Bond film must have to be successful. Eon Pictures should have used one of the trade paperbacks ( Icebreaker or For Special Services) that had continued on with the Bond saga, instead of a short that was stretched past its limits to two hours

Summary: A good Bond movie. A little too hokey at times.
Review: Roger Moore's final apperance as Bond. The whole idea of Zorin being genetically enhanced and the horses as well is sort of dumb. Great title song though.

Summary: Geriatric Bond
Review: Roger looks pretty old and worn out in this one (so is the plot). A couple of nice action scenes. Walken is okay as the bad guy but the script really limits him, and Tanya Roberts is badly in need of some acting lessons. She is simply awful.

Summary: One of the best of the official Bond movies.
Review: I have found 'A View To A Kill' one of the best official Bond movies ever made, but unfortunately slightly crushed by (Roger) Moore's last, rather flimsy performance (but hey, he was 58, what can you say) but that was no where near enough to ruin the film thanks to superb performances especially by Christopher Walken(Max Zorin)and Grace Jones(May Day). Definetly (in my opinion) had a story line that ranked in the top ten of the (17 official and countless non-official Bond movies). I gave it 4&1/2 stars. Michael Nash Supreme Bond Fan since 1995

Summary: Was this "Made for TV"?
Review: The absolute WORST of ALL the Bond movies, Moore or otherwise. Walken gives his worst performance ever and the Bond girls are extremely ordinary looking. Even the lame action can't save this one. Grace Jones was the only thing 'Bond worthy' in this entire movie. Like a real bad episode of Charlie's Angels without Charlie or the Angels. Absolutely UNWATCHABLE and made for TV caliber script, acting, direction and camera work....

Summary: So Long Roger Moore
Review: The 14th James Bond movie has to be the worst one ever. I haven't yet seen all of the 007 films but I'm pretty confident in my assertion. After an OK pre-titles sequence in which we see James Bond on assignment in Siberia, the film caves in.

What's really striking about AVTAK is that unlike a lot of Bond movies, it lacks polish, style, and sophistication. That's really evident in the action scenes which are simply not Bond-worthy, particularly the fire truck chase. That looks like it belongs in Walt Disney family/comedy film from the 70's, not a 007 flick. The villains played by Christopher Walken and Grace Jones are pretty good but Walken comes close to being campy. And how does a woman as ugly as Jones get into a Bond movie? Totally opposite to Grace Jones however is Tanya Roberts who plays the Bond girl Stacey Sutton. Roberts is very, very, beautiful but, thanks to her bad acting skills, is not convincing. She's not tough either and wimpers and cries when the heat is on.

As for 007 himself, everyone knows the story. Roger Moore at 57 was just too old to be Bond. Unbelieveably, grandaddy Bond is able to lay FOUR girls in this movie. Outrageous!! On top of that, Moore simply goes through the motions and is clearly not into the role. It's too bad that Moore, one the best Bonds I think, had to leave on such a bad note. For Your Eyes Only would have been a the perfect swan song. Even Octupussy would have made a decent exit. But Moore has to close with the worst film in the series. Unfortunate.

Summary: A View To A Kill
Review: This is my favorite Bond movie. I've loved this movie ever since it came out in 1985.

Frankly,I'm a bit surprised at the bad reviews.They say that it's the worst Bond movie, with unbelievable premises and action and with bad acting. Considering that most,if not all of the Bond movies are "campy" to say the least,I think this is one of the better ones.

The 007 genre is SUPPOSED to be campy and entertaining.It's what gives it it's uniqueness.I don't think that these movies were originally made to be serious thought pervoking flicks.You have to take these movies for what they are:over-the-top,campy,sometimes rediculous entertainment.

Summary: AT LEAST MOORE LEFT
Review: To quote Roger Ebert, "I hated, hated, hated this movie." It has got to be the worst Bond film ever made. Roger Moore looks either bored--or downright tired of his spying. Christopher Walken overplayed the villain, Grace Jones is NOT sexy, and Tanya Roberts is the WORST Bond girl.
Roger Moore should have quit when ahead with his two best Bond movies, For Your Eyes Only or Octopussy.
